This is wrong actually. WES will evaluate a Nigerian DVM as a professional certificate.

NaijaCanadian28:

He can use WES for immigration purposes but WES won’t evaluate his degree as a professional degree, hence he won’t be able to claim points for professional degree/Masters. I’m assuming you didn’t read our previous chats, you would have understood what I’m trying to explain.

I did mine at Synlab

Orange1234:
Please, to those who did their Covid test in Lagos this year, where did you do it? Biobank's (the only testing centre listed on https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/onboarding/lab-directory) phone number isn't going through. I find it hard to believe that it's only one testing site acceptable for Lagos.

Please, anyone that travelled from abuja recently, where did you do your Covid test?

Good day all. Please I need information on an affordable and convenient airline to use.

I recently got PPR for a study permit and I want to book ahead to reduce cost.

I will be traveling to Montreal,Quebec.

I am a mum of a baby who will be 10 months by the time of travel.

I know it won't be easy travelling with my baby,so I am looking for a straight flight (if possible) or at most one stop before getting to my destination.

I will appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

there is no direct flight from Nigeria, use wakanow or Skyscanner.net to search for flights

My landing gist smiley please note grammatical errors.

I want to first of all give God all the glory.

My wife and myself started this journey 2020 first quarter, she was the primary applicant as I was very busy with work and she was not working. She wrote it 3 times and passed while i wrote it once.

Got ITA a week to her 30th birthday in March

Submitted application third week of April. The delay was caused by the pandemic.

Waited and waited, ACCRA VO

Had a baby in September so I needed to add him to our application.

Added within 4 days

Got PPR 2 days after my birthday in October Perfect birthday gift.

Submitted our passport 2nd week in November to Accra. Got passport back mid January 2021

Now the main gist. grin

I have been telling my wife we should travel that people are landing, she was saying she wanted to get Authorization letter. So we applied for AL and it never came.

On the 27th or so (Wednesday)after Canadian government announced new restrictions, I just woke her up and drove straight to MMIA, bought a ticket that same day to travel on Friday. We had just 48 hours to pack and prepare.

Did COVID19 test on Thursday

Friday the D-day

On my way to the airport, missed my way twice cry in fact I was just praying I dont miss this flight.

Got to the airport, I had no issues because I did not pack food and my wife and I have a decent visa history I guess.

Got to YYZ we were asked to remain on the plane. shocked my heart skipped as I thought they will be returning us to naija. They an announcement was made that they will only accept 50 at a time.

Ah God, what a relief.

Eventually we got out, got to the immigration officer. She stamped our CoPR and said the magic words "Welcome to Canada, congratulations you are now permanent residence of Canada. Your PR card should get to you in a couple of weeks"

Headed straight to collect our bags then went to board air Canada to Calgary.

Got to calgary late. Went straight to the hotel where we are still quarantining.

Sorry the story was rushed and I skipped a lot of details but I hope it encourages someone out there.

I don't reply PMs as I do not have access to my mail. Please post your question on this thread and I will do my best to answer based on my experience.

Thanks to everyone on this thread, you guys are helping the average Nigerian youth

Please is there anyone that landed recently with a child who is an American citizen without writing IRCC and also didn’t mention during application that he or she will be coming with the child? Before now I know you don’t need any authorisation since the child does not need a visa but I don’t know what is obtainable now . I have a study permit approved and want to travel with my 5 years Son who is an American citizen. Any advice please ? Thank you all.

Chief it was a question I asked. It's not a call of movement or no movement.

Hi guys, its been a hot minute, I just returned to Calgary on sunday after almost a year since I left, I'm currently on day 7 of my quarantine. My thing is the way this cold has shown me pepper these few days I'm beginning to have second thoughts about settling in Calgary. I've never liked cold weather even in Nigeria, I rarely use AC or even drink cold water. I was discussing with my brother and its looking like BC is the place for me. Now here comes my worries, I had a very soft landing (no stress at all) as my SIL was ever willing to put me through everything and drive me everywhere. Moving to BC won't be easy as I don't know anyone or anywhere. I'm currently job hunting so I would appreciate any tips on what to look out for when renting a place, standard of living etc. thank you
