No need to panic
The world has gone digital
There are countless sites you change cryptos to other currency & even western union & PayPal & withdraw to your account.
But this seem like fake news, not even on CBN official twitter page.
The only way this can be effective na if they ban internet!

In India, they banned crypto.

Rather than complain.

Withdraw your crypto and send it through western union or world remit, do cash pickup and receive your money in dollars.

I have always said it that this government is run by insane people. How could you just wake up and make such a decision?

I won't blame them, next election, if you like collect 5000 you will get worse treatment.

Look at NIN, some idiot just woke up and made a decision without putting lots of things into consideration, so I arrive Nigeria now with no way to get a phone number. Many government decisions are never thought through.

We deserve better than what we are getting, Nigerians are smart people, we should never settle for less , mediocrity should not be an option when choosing leaders.

I apologize for being part of those that encouraged people to vote for Buhari during the first election, I encouraged over 80 of my employees in Lagos to vote for him, I thought he was the messiah. I later realized that this man really has nothing much to offer. Someone that thinks today is Monday

Crypto is not banned in Indian o
They made a proposal to ban it in 2018, top exchangers in the country took them to court & won! They came up with another bill recently with exception to some coins, which is still under deliberation because they planning on creating their own national digital coin

It was high time the government ban crypto exchanges. It is one of the things killing our useless naira. People would rather store their funds in bitcoin and co. than to store it in naira.

Last last NFIU or CBN don't have any means to separate cocoyam buyers from crypto currency buyers all transactions to all customers are treated the same way, CBN can't and won't question any transaction declared as cocoyam sales proceeds

Lol, you're bent on this cocoyam business. Tell me, is the business very feasible? I might be interested in it. Let's just agree to disagree concerning the CBN matter.

P2p are also done on exchanges.

If exchanges are stopped, how do you receive your money in your Nigerian bank account

Oga, do you know the meaning of P2P?

You are buying and selling to fellow individuals not through an exchange. Exchanges that have P2P options merely act as escrows. All initial trading of crypto in Nigeria was P2P. Individuals sell crypto to each other.

That's what will happen.

The sending all over to friends and relatives reduces the worth of the intial money because of various transfer fees

Not much. If there's a reduction, it won't be much. You can send the crypto to your brother, they charge you some transaction fee, your brother takes out the crypto and turns it into cash, and transfers the cash to you. It's a long process, but it's worth.

People like me, who have long term investment plan for crypto need not to panic as I don't need my cash now. I'm HODLing till it gets to the moon!

Youths are the backbone of endsars protest. Most youths in the south are either into Yahoo or legit online businesses. Yahoo guys receive monies in Bitcoin so that it won't be traceable. To cripple the vocal youths among us, weaken their flow of income.

Youths are no longer thinking of physical businesses. Everyone wants to become a millionaire overnight.

So because criminals do cryptos so you shut down all accounts that receive crypto’s. If that’s the case then what has the government done in addressing unemployment?i don’t support illegal business but it’s wrong to block the whole thing entirely

It's good, the investment in crypto. It's not very wise to move all your money to crypto for easy liquidity.
