Lol...your confidence is amazing. You don't even know who you are talking to, and you are telling me rubbish about International Law. I bet you have never as much as set sight on the Rome Statute before, have you?

Let me help you: the ICC is a Court of International Criminal Law, not Human Rights law. Does the distinction confuse you? See, you really have no business discussing this topic.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Suppose I inform you that I hold a Masters in International (Public) law and that not only have I studied the Rome Statute, I also live in Rome where it was created in 1998 and adopted in 2002. I will not go into a legal debate with you on this platform, you win and I rest my case

I doubt if Nigeria can survive next 5 years.

Only time and activities shall tell.

Yes, we are gradually heading towards self implosion and probably a second civil war.

Then it is to your shame that you could have made such a poor comment on the workings of the Court. I will also point out to you that living in Rome where the treaty was formed and adopted means nothing unless you want to tell me the plenary sessions took place in your house. lol...the Court seats at the Hague, and for your information, I have been there--not to the gate, but all the way inside. So next time, study your books very well before making a mess of yourself.

Are you done....?

Can't comment on the veracity of the news of the execution, but I find it hard to take this lawyer seriously when he says he is in the Hague to file a case and that the government should expect service by next week.

The ICC does not work like that. You cannot get up and go there to file a case as cases can only be initiated at the behest of:

a. The office of the prosecutor
b. The UN Sec. Council
c. Request by a state party to the Rome Statute--this can be turned down

That is, private individuals are not granted audience at their own instance, though a person who may be a victim in a case may be allowed legal presentation as a corollary to that case.

Moreover, the staff off the ICC are currently working remotely due to covid, so who would he be filing his case with at the physical office?

No wonder many Eastern soldiers resigned and sharply ported to ESN. Thats why they could disgrace the army in orlu.

1. Nigerian Army first denies any cruelty.
2. Then they twist the message.
3. After that they call a press briefing and again deny the first denial and label it a misrepresentation.
4. They use the briefing to bully press.
5. When pressure mounts from global media then they backtrack and open investigation.
6. They return and admit the incident did happen but Army was not to blame.
7. When evidence is presented they admit it as an internal gap in communication.

Look, i dont even know why Nigeria is still standing, after what has happened in Obigbo and now in Oyo and Ondo.

More of that should happen.

All ethnic leaders should ask their sons and daughters in Nigerian Army to walk away...with their weapons in possession.

The families should display the pictures of the 6 soldiers in military uniforms and their registration numbers if they are serious.

We have competent courts in Nigeria, it is still early to run to Hague. Let's all the World see their pictures,
