Goodevening house,I have a joint account with my mum. I am self sponsored and will be using my bank statement but I just moved my own fraction of the funds from the joint account to my personal account. Do I still have to explain the source of this inflow in my LOE cos obviously both our names will reflect on the bank statement.

Good Morning Everyone!
It's really beautiful the updates we've been seeing recently.

Someone asked a question two or three days ago but there was no response to it. I got the same update today and I'll like to attach screenshots to give a clearer idea of the update.
I'll like to ask if anyone has seen anything like this in recent times, especially those who have been here for really long.

I got the first two screenshots the first time I submitted my application.
I got the last one today.
I confirmed from someone else and he said the message I got today was the same he got when he submit.

Does this mean anything? @frankrobbn @lekiboboe @justmellow.
I'll appreciate responses from anyone with a similar experience.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME

Hello everyone. I'm about to start my student visa journey. I need clarification regarding financial requirements. I'm going for graduate certificate program and school fee is about 16k per year. Can I pay per semester? Also regarding visa application am I supposed to show evidence of my funding for the 2 years duration of my stay or just a year?

Hello Shupy,

How much is paid as tuition and how the payment stages occur depends solely on the DLI. Its always advertised on almost all DLI website or you can get in touched with the admissions office.

IRCC only adjure international students to demonstrate POF for one (1) year.

Esmeob:
Hello everyone

My brother and I want to apply for study visa. He's doing a 1year masters course while I am going for undergraduate degree. The thing is we have the same sponsor. So what we plan to do is submit my dad's statement of account and retirement funds documents for his own proof of funds, then, use my mum's business documents and statement of account together with my dad's retirement funds documents for my own application. So, my dad will be his sponsor while both my parents will be used as sponsor for me.

We also plan to use two different land as proff of home ties for each of us.
He's going through the NSE route while I'm doing the normal route.

Please I want to know if we're on track or if this will reduce both our chances of getting approved.

Also, is it allowed to raise a webform to update my international passport as my new one will be coming in after my application.

Thank you for your responses in anticipation.

Hello Esmeob,

Considering you both are using parents sponsorship, that alone is a step in the right direction.

Anybody can sponsor certain people or group of people if the financial stength is rigidly unshaked. In the absence of this, it will make better sense, if one person is sponsored first.

In a case like this, it is only right if both sponsor makes a commitment to pay either the first semester or full year tuition. Then, the LE expenses will be demonstrate likewise for the subsequent year for your brother.

I don't know why your brother is going for UG program, but due to the cost implication attached to UG study in Canada, the sponsor must have a good inflow and reliable source of income in order to best demonstrate to the VO the capability to meet the cost for the subsequent year.

For your brother, it makes more sense if his sponsor can pay the full 1year tuition. Upon receiving the renewed PP, you can decide to notify IRCC or wait until PPR where you can submit the renewed PP.

Please, do any one know any college with fully funded scholarship ?

Hello Oppsonn,

I don't think you should spend time looking for this opportunity. Look for other means to offset the cost of your study. Or better yet, go for a Thesis-based Master which comes in either partial or full funding.

Gurus in the house, I need your urgent response. Someone said once application fee is paid & admission is given, one can get to Canada before payment of tuition fee. How true is this?

Hello lavicollins,

To an extent true. Though its mostly a tradition amongst Universities in Canada, not Colleges. The exceptions are some colleges in the Atlantic province. All other colleges, with great focus to Ontario province, requires almost half of the first year tuition to be paid before your seat is guaranteed and/or an unconditional letter issued.

Ontario colleges have better programs to the colleges in the Atlantic provinces. Some colleges in Alberta also have flexible tuition plan.

Hello All,

Hope we all had a great week.

Please I seek advise as I research how best to succeed on this journey which I just started..…..

I am a graduate of law and also have a Masters in Public and International Affairs ( MPIA). I am planning to apply to Unisask for the course Master in Public Policy ( MPP) 2022 fall however I graduated with second lowers from the gradate course (law) while my Gp for the MPIA is 3.38.

I have about 8 years work experience in customer care.

I need guidance and clarification if I have chosen the right course and if I stand any chance given my Gp.

I am also open to any other course suggestion in a school with fees the range of Unisask which is my line and will guarantee admission.

All the gurus in the house, kindly advise. Thank you

.

Pls I am a 2.1 Information Technology graduate, I graduated in 2018 and currently working as a clerk in UAE, considering the fact that my work experience doesn’t tally with my educational background
1) What are my chances of getting a study visa if I apply for MSc in computer science or will it be better to apply in the field of my work experience?

Hello Nairaandaed,

2018 despite past is still within sight. The M.sc is fine if you can say you currently work as a clerk, but recently got promotion to your any position related to IT. Hence why your employee has agreed to grant you a study leave to update your knowledge to be more sharp. If you can provide evidence from your palce of work, you might stand a chance.

Outside what has been discussed above, if there is no evidence for the claim, you may want to consider something related to your work experience. Maybe to something related to HR.

highest level of education right now is SSCE/WAEC
currently planning to drop out from higher institutions (yr 2) here in Naija and pursue a new career oversea

Please what you think about that Bosses
Or should I finish my Bsc here (probably in the next three yrs due to naija system ) before moving outta this country

Hello Bayo2018,

This situation can be best assessed with your age. If the number is below 24, then be patient except if there is dire need. If above, and the financial and home ties can be satisfied, then you can consider starting the process.

Evidence of why not intending to complete your study in Nigeria is well-pronounce all over the country which is known by the International community.

Stating you moved your own fraction of the funds to your personal account for easy access during you study abroad is not a bad idea.
Do explain it in your LOE

Hello Vetilicious,

Literally, Public Policy in a way follows identical path with Customer Care functions as it has to do with relating with people. However, it suits more better to Political sphere

It may just be best if your good for what is related to your work experience, maybe HR and the likes in McMaster University.

I really appreciate this @ Just mellow

I can answer yes to most of the questions, hubby already paid for my first semester (8k) and we have 6k balance for 2nd semester, after paying my first year tuition and LE, he will still have like 20k cad in his domiciliary acct. and still some naira in his savings acct.
If he were to transfer, that means I need to open a fresh domiciliary acct cos I did not have, I only have naira account. And if we are to cash the dollars and change, how do we explain the lump sum?

My tuition is 14k a year
Hubby has a steady salary acct (consultant since 2008) and he runs a law firm that has been in operation since 1999
Length of program is 2 years and it has coop
We have 3 kids oldest being 12 and youngest almost 3.
Do you still think we should go ahead, change the money into naira( so scare to do this) and pay into my acct?

Hello Testimonytime,

Given that you've already pay for your first semester tuition, my suggestion is now void. So, there won't be any need to tamper with the fx given the flunctuating rates and scarcity.

Best you should do is see to ways on how to gradually run your account or your spouse deposit in lump sum your LE into your account (if you have good inflows) with brief explanation in both your letter(s).

Since your spouse is financially capable, I see no reason why you will want to present a BS with such low closing balance. Improve the amount further up.

The course on my LOA says bachelor of science which is not a specific course and I cannot build on that in my SOP because it is too general; memorial only allows all science students to declare their major after 1 year of study. Please Can I indicate in my sop that I intend to declare my major to biology after my first year because that is the university’s requirement

Hello VObalogun,

I said "build your highlights around Science" with Biology as core study interest. Hope you get it now.

Thanks for your swift response.

I read someone's response above stating that such(payment when getting to Canada) was during pre Covid era. How valid is this?

Do you think non payment of tuition won't have a clause on or affect the visa?

To be more specific, I'm only wondering why they're sending the acknowledgement letter when they've sent a copy initially.

I've been thinking it either means our applications have been assigned to an officer, or they're done with it entirely.
These are only thoughts, I wouldn't know what's right.
