DappaD:You can clearly see your double standard. You have written a long epistle to convince yourself that these old men of yours are apostles. On what basis? These are self appointed apostles because no one can trace how Christ called them. Paul called himself the least of the apostles Acts 9:15-16: "But the Lord said to him, Go! For this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel. For I will show him what great things he must suffer for My name's sake." 1Cor 15:8-9: "And last of all He was seen by me also, as one born out of time. For I am the least of the apostles and am not sufficient to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God." The above was the response of Paul to those who questioned his apostleship. Is there an apostle who didn't see Jesus? Your evidence: 1. You say they are appointed as a “faithful and discreet slave” without telling us WHO appointed them and HOW? For you know that their appointment was by other old men in your organisation. Members of your Governing Body selects new members. SMH! There are no elections for membership; new members are selected by the existing body https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organizational_structure_of_Jehovah%27s_Witnesses 2. Your second evidence that they are appointed by Christ is that 2. There’s evidence that these “old men” were appointed by Jesus Christ because they’re spearheading the command to preach the good news of God’s Kingdom to the distant part of the earth. Isn't that a rhetorical statement without any EVIDENCE of Christ's call! It looks like Jesus limited them to eight people ( I will be surprised if there is a single African amongst them). The implication if you don't know is that no black man is going to heaven. All you have described is self appointment DappaD:I laugh at your gullibility! There are five office gifts: Apostles Prophets Teachers Evangelists Pastor All have ceased except the gifts of the apostle your eight self appointed apostles!? Please on what basis? How does Jesus Christ speak to your apostles but He seem not o empower them!? |

shadeyinka:Mr Sade please if we are talking about who measures on double standard between you and I, then I’d say you top the charts on this one. All the works that Jesus was doing bore witness that he actually originated with God[John 10:25] yet the Jews were still not satisfied instead they were still seeking signs[Matthew 16:1-4] and hoping that another Messiah would come and perform much more greater works than Jesus did. John 7:31 Due to the lack of their faith, Jesus made the best use of his time by shifting his attention to those who were receptive to his message in other cities. Mark 6:4-6, John 8:26 So indeed, Jesus did not need to worry himself but was convinced by his own principles that “Wisdom is proved righteous/vindicated by its works” Matthew 11:19, Luke 7:35 Jesus said that anyone would recognize those who truly belong to him when such one observes their fruits/works. Matthew 7:16-20 So since that is not enough for you, neither would you believe Jesus if he opens the heavens and tells you that those “old men” are actually his brothers. Luke 16:31 compare John 12:28-30 You still left one question hanging which I need you to attend to. “Where were all the so-called prophets and miraculous healers when COVID-19 was ravaging the entire world last year?” When ALL and I mean ALL of the churches held their usual “crossover” from 2019 to 2020, none of your Prophets could see the COVID-19 coming right? Instead they were “prophesying” as usual you that 2020 would be their year and so and so. Even after the virus spread, the miraculous powers of your healers somehow disappeared right? |

If we're talking about family yes JEHOVAH (God) his son (Jesus) and all JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES globally are ONE! John 17:22 But JEHOVAH according to Moses and Jesus is just ONE person not three Sir! shadeyinka:The European Eunuch was coming from Jerusalem where he went to WORSHIP {Act 8:27} with God's organized people and he actually asked a Christian to TEACH him what he found in our book {Act 8:31} so after his departure he knew that another group (with a new covenant) has replaced the former Jewish temple worship. {Jeremiah 31:31-34} He must associate with them before he can start preaching and teaching efficiently about Jesus (the founder of the group) Act 18:24-26 ...And the Jailer became a follower of Christ by first becoming a member of the JW group! The bolded means he acknowledged the group's standard for becoming a member by asking them "what must i do?" Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes and other Jewish Rabbis are there before he came to ask CHRISTIANS (another organized group) surely he must do whatever they taught him and continue associating with them {Hebrews 10:24-25} he can't be saved if he rejects the teachings of those who taught him what he must do to be saved! Hebrews 13:7,17 Both examples acknowledge the gathering of holy ones they never search for God alone, please give an example of someone who search for God without having anything to do with an organized group! ![]() |

He is battling really hard to refute what is obvious to everyone. I've told him several times without number that he needs us to gain the knowledge that leads to everlasting life! Jesus has chosen a group and given them the key to the knowledge whoever despises them is doing so at his own perils! ![]() Janosky: |

No one can trace how Christ called the Governing Body of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! ![]() Yet they have successfully gathered millions of people out of all the tribes of the earth {Micah 4:1-3 compare to Act 1:8} infused in their brains the love of fellow believers {John 13:34-35} disarmed them completely {Matthew 26:52} turned them into zealous preachers and industrious teachers of what their God says {Matthew 28:19-20} globally people know them as the only religious group having nothing to do with racism and politics {Matthew 5:13-16} LOVE, JOY and PEACE flow anywhere they converge {Galatians 5:22-23} as if something like a glue ties and binds them together as ONE. John 17:22 What other credentials do i need to be certain that the Prince of Peace chose this men? Unlike your own ECWA Church where the leaders there means NOTHING to you, when they teach you filter their teachings pick what soothes you and trash the remaining, millions of people from different races throughout the earth are OBEDIENT to the Governing Body of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES Organization just as Zachariah 8:23 foretells. Stop deceiving yourselves! ![]() shadeyinka: |

The first time we chatted i told Shadeyinka that i wasn't on the thread for him but just making presentations to fish out the lost sheep. But he was so filled with ego back then thinking he's got what it takes to falsify JWs teachings, even when i implored him to let go he kept pestering me for a debate. So i accepted but today he's running up and down trying to say "all religions claiming Christians are OK just don't rely fully on their teachings" whereas before this debate he was so enthusiastic as if he will just trash JW Organization out of the way! ![]() DappaD:Shadeyinka and his cohorts are just as faithless as those first century Jews, note that they never said Jesus is not performing what the scriptures foretold that the Messiah will do but they're expecting him to perform signs in harmony with what the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes and other Jewish Rabbis taught them about the Messiah. Matthew 16:4 Even though they are fed up with all the gibberish their religious leaders infused in their brains as nothing benefitial is coming out of it yet they felt Jesus should just fulfill those things since that's what they're expecting him to do. Shadeyinka and all his friends are fed up with all the misconceptions, fraud, lies, deceit, killings in their chuches all in pursuit for position yet they're expecting JWs to come and start performing what their Pastors taught them as duties of true men of God, yet none of them meet up with the expectation. So he's surely deceiving himself! ![]() |

MaxInDHouse:Because they chose themselves. Since as you claim, "all spiritual gifts and miracles have ceased": by what mechanism did Christ CALL them? If you can only do justice to this: I repeat, How did Jesus Christ choose these eight old men constituting your Governing Body? |

MaxInDHouse:Can you see how misinformed you are and also deliberately twisting the truth as usual to fit the narrative of the JW organisation!? If the Ethiopian Eunuch went to the JW church, how come he didnt find Salvation within it till he was on his way home? Don't forget that you forgot you said contrary with the jailer (Worship in the temple at Jerusalem was okay for the Eunuch but wrong for the Jailer because the "Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes and other Jewish Rabbis were there"! Doctrine of lies by Liars! |

DappaD:The question has been very clear and simple: "How did Jesus choose these eight old men"? Let make it easy for you to comprehend. All apostles are personally Called, Sent/Commissioned and Empowered by Christ for the work of the gospel. As a Christian, have I become an apostle if I devote my life, strength and resources to the gospel of Christ building churches all over the world and teaching believers to serve the Lord in truth and purity? WHY? If |

The highlighted is where you're got it all wrong! We are not saying we are perfect, but there is no PERFECT setting elsewhere apart from the one that successfully brought people from all races together under ONE umbrella to form one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers! Isaiah 2:2-4 Even Jesus Christ himself never boast of his group as filled with perfect people {Matthew 9:13} he only said people outside his group are like walking corpse {Luke 9:60} adding that all of them will perish! John 3:16 So learn why he said so not arrogantly arguing in support of the religion of your choice! ![]() shadeyinka: |

Far from it my friend! Amongst the first century Christians there were traitors like Judas Iscariot, fearful and denying like Peter, liars and cheats like Ananiah and Saphirras, Adulterers like the Corinthian brother but there is no salvation outside the group! You can't meet up with the requirements unless you join the group, that's what God and Christ are saying! John 3:16; 17:3 ![]() shadeyinka: |

According to Jesus himself he said during the end time lots of things will be happening on this planet and people will be totally confused and lost in thought! Matthew 24:3-44 @ verse 44 Jesus said "get prepared because you don't know the time of my arrival" so during the 1900s there was lots of troubles on this planet as it's obvious that aliens from outer space have come to possess people and made them behave irrational leading to the world war! By then no religious group is well prepared for the coming of Jesus Christ but a little group of people who were praying and expecting his arrival. Before then this group has been telling the whole world that they've gotten signs that Jesus' coming will be in 1914 but most people ignored them. Matthew 24:45 So when Jesus finally arrived he began working on this group until five years later in 1919 when he has trained them enough for the global preaching and teaching program, they came out and began traveling to all the countries of the earth to gather people and make them disciples of Jesus Christ. Today these group are in millions and none of the members are into politics or racism, they're all cunning as Serpent and harmless as doves. Sorry my friend, i've gotten more than enough evidence before i surrendered to this group as the one and only Jesus' group today! ![]() shadeyinka: |

Neither the Ethiopian Eunuch nor the jailer searched for God without any form of organized group in existence! So please remind me of just one single example of someone who searched for God without the existence of an organized setting for worship. The first and last person who did was Enoch and since there was no organized setting in his own time God took him away from the earth. Genesis 5:24 Apart from this man there was no other example of someone who searched for God without an organized setting already in existence! ![]() shadeyinka: |

MaxInDHouse:Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. It must be a glorious coincidence then that God alone is Elohim, Elohim being a plural for the Supreme God and whom He revealed Himself as. Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. The Bible says God is One, Jwickedness say God is One |

MaxInDHouse:Salvation is not through any organized group. Salvation occurs when a person hears the gospel and believe in the atonement of Christ. This is done by PEOPLE as individuals not as a group. The Etheopean Eunuch is an example. He met with Philip (an individual) and went back the Ethiopia (where no Christian community existed as of that time). Or can you tell me if the Ethiopian Eunuch met any group on his way home!? |

MaxInDHouse:So Jesus Christ came in secret! Luk 17:22-24: "And He said to the disciples, The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you shall not see [it]. And they shall say to you, Lo, here! or, behold, there! Do not go away, nor follow. For as the lightning which lights up, flashing from the [one part] under heaven, [and] shines to the [other part] under heaven, so also shall the Son of man be in His day." The coming of Christ will be NO SECRET! See how they have confused you? Jesus says: Do not follow they are impostures. |
| Re: Discussion on Doctrine between a Christian and a Jehovah's Witness by shadeyinka(op): 9:48am On Feb 11, 2021 |
MaxInDHouse:Salvation is is CHRIST alone, not even in the Apostles of Christ. I believe you can see clearly when I say you have replaced God with the Old men of your Governing Body. Phil 3:9: "And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:" I don't know a single scripture that says you are saved by joining any organisation (Maybe you know some). |

shadeyinka:The highlighted is 100% correct because it's a one on one discussion and the preacher will have to continue teaching the person all that Christ Jesus commanded {Matthew 28:20} that's why Paul said @ Romans 10:11-15 there must be an organized group preaching and teaching in all communities and consistency the group of preachers must have the same line of thought {1Corinthians 1:10} so that there can be PEACE amongst all those doing this work globally! 1Corinthians 14:33 ![]() The Etheopean Eunuch is an example. He met with Philip (an individual) and went back the Ethiopia (where no Christian community existed as of that time). Or can you tell me if the Ethiopian Eunuch met any group on his way home!?Of course Christianity must be established in Ethiopia if the Eunuch want to continue worshiping the God of Philip who taught him, so a congregation must be formed otherwise what Philip planted in this man will die off if there is no watering! 1Corinthians 3:6 compare to Hebrew 10:24-25 ![]() |
