It doesn't explain why the phenomenon exists or what causes it. The explanation of a phenomenon is called a scientific theory. It is a misconception that theories turn into laws with enough research.

Anyone can be a great scientist in respective of religion or their irreligiousity or level of education. Faraday was one great scientist who didn't get too many formal education. I can bet you that if you put in at least 50% of brainpower to a cause. You are going to end up making a huge discovery. I can use same logic of yours in giving you as proof of the Holy Spirit in the Psych of Man since intelligence is not a visible attribute of man and no one can deny it's existence plus the fact that there are a whole lots of other factors like a trinity of factors that determine intelligence in humans. The Brain is only 36% responsible for this non-visible very important attribute inherent in man. There are other factors like the cell i.e genetic and environmental factors also responsible for intelligence.

Basically, Science is yet to understand 100% what is responsible for this non-visible attribute in man called intelligence not to now talk of asking for proof of the very source of the whole universe: Holy Spirit. You see this is foolishness on your part as you are yet to understand the one created in you and you are seeking to under the one that created you.
