This morning, I decided to test the adaptive cruise control in a Range Rover supercharged and I was impressed. I have tried the cruise control on the express way on many occasions over the years and the first time was in 1996 in a Benz 380 SEL. I set the cruise control on 200 km and I told my self that today na today on Fribourg Vevey express in Switzerland. It was fun. Now an adaptive cruise control is equipped in all supercharged Range Rovers but fear was the inhibiting factor until today when I tried it. It was superb. It stops on it's own even in city traffic.

Thank you sooperescue for this thread. I was afraid of buying a Land Rover brand. Now I want to buy a 2008 Freelander and need some advice on maintenance and other possible issues that may arise from the use. Starting with the cost at N3.5m, is this expensive or ok at that price? How much is the maintenance and at how many miles should someone service the vehicle? What are other things I should watch out for?

Freelander 2 for 3.5m? Too high for the price currently. The parts are almost similar to the Evoque but it is a good car and service is twice a year using the recommended oil. If you add a million to the price, you can get an evoque somewhere else.

Sorry i forgot to mention it's a 2007 tokunbo car. If I may ask, how much will a locally used one cost? What's my budget for servicing each time?

The locally used ones are parked up in the owner's house or they have been abandoned in a mechanic workshop. I have never worked on any one. There was one that a lady wanted to bring in for repairs but she was skeptical if I was going to continue from where the last mechanic stopped in feeling good with her resources. Most times, when we want Evoque parts, we tell the parts sellers that we want parts for Freelander 2 and it is now cheaper. I hope you understand my drift.

I have no idea because I have not seen any of it near me. It will not serve your purpose. They are few on the road and I will advise you to let the desire go away. There are a lot of Sports in the market for almost the same price or lower.
