This last week was a challenging one for me. Gold and her volatility almost made me doubt my style. Until it align eventually. So I learnt for sure that there is no better substitute for risk management and position sizing.

For beginners, I strongly advised that you should start with moderately volatile pairs and limit your risk. 0.01 lot is your best lot to start with.

Our contest is aim at something and thats to make us better and then fund those that demostrated reasonable level of proficiency.

Great, only if you can limit your risk, you will lose less just till you will be in charge. That is what helped me. I have lost $15,000 to this market before but that was just $15000 that I made from $1000 and I managed to withdraw $1000. Nothing loss in the real sense of it.
Any lot size that you place that will not allow you to have a sound sleep at night is not a good trade.

As regards the competition, I want to understand; is it possible to use MT5 rather than MT4? About the rule that one must have been active on this forum to qualify for the challenge what happens to new folks who are interested in participating? Can't the rule be bent for the sake of equity? thanks in anticipation of your reply.

Any rule not stated will not be against you. But when the main contest starts, I will implore you to trade like it is a business. Only those that take it as business will be allowed to manage accounts if they come top 3.
