Hi Friends,
You guys are awesome, the thread is really informative and I appreciate it.
Going by in-demand occupation list in AIPP, If for instance, an Engr gets a job offer outside his engineering career NOC, say Truck Driver job offer, Is there a restriction that forbids him from changing job back to his engineering career NOC AFTER say 1 to 2 years of doing the Truck Driver job role with his first employer?
WILL HE BE DEPORTED?

I will appreciate your responses.
Regards

Nova Scotia is one of the 4 Atlantic Provinces and provides a path to migrating to Canada. If you need information on the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program, check https://africaextended.com/things-that-matter/immigration-hub/everything-you-need-to-know-about-nova-scotia-nominee-program/.

The program has several streams and you should be able to find one that meets your need.

It took me solid 4 months of persistence reading and exploring of different companies websites using the approved list of designated employers under the AIPP stream. At some point, I got discouraged as most of the companies I contacted vehemently said they weren't aware of the immigration program called - AIPP.... This kept me puzzling and wondering how will they not know about the Atlantic program. Meanwhile, their companies names were boldly published among the designated employers on the list of the Atlantic program to hire foreign employees. I knew what I wanted so I relentlessly kept on pushing without hesitation. I sought advices from some of the experienced Indians guys on the WhatsApp group I belonged to as of then, they gave me tips on how to contact employers in the Altantic region and shared me some of their cover letters during their hunt for job offers. Having implemented all the tips and tricks as advised, all attempts proved abortive as majority of the employers I contacted were looking for employees with work permit within Canada. cry

The quest for job offer continued, afterwhich I decided to build up my LinkedIn account and subscribing to the premium package which will give me visibility for any job vacancies within my qualifying NOC. It was very quite fortunate for me to see one of the approved companies under AIPP and their advertisement for Vacancy for over two months. shocked A thought came to my mind and i resolved to give it a shot and see if things turns out fine for me.... To be honest, its was a mere trial!. I didn't even invest so much hope that I'll secure the job. After all, I have been getting several rejection response/mails from companies in Canada all this while, therefore it's no longer a new thing to me. I braced up and contacted the company via their LinkedIn page as well as explaining to them about my sincere interest in working for the company and filling up their labour shortage. Luckily, the company replied my message after a week and requested that I should email them a copy of my resume and a cover letter which will detail about my vast working experiences in my qualifying NOC and why I am a good fit for the job/position in their company as well as the possible contributions I'll bring to the team that will yield high productivity for the company etc...

Fast forward, I did as the company requested and forwarded them my details. I got assistance from an indian guy who carefully took his time to review my resume, cover letter and reconstructed the mail I used. Within 3 business days, the company acknowledged the receipt of my documents, reviewed them and sent me an email regarding an interview.

My interview was conducted via Skype on the 21st of December, 2018. The manager of the company asked me questions about my experience and how long I have worked in that field and what is my current employment in my country of residence. Do I have my IELTS and ECA ready? Of which I sincerely told him that I don't have any yet but will get it done as soon as I have successfully secured the job offer. The manager is a jovial and very nice person. I must say he is very understandable and he said "That's okay, but you must have it so we can file for your Permanent Residence Application".... I replied with a calm voice "Sure I will".

At the end of the interview, the manager congratulated me with a smile on his face that I'm now a member/employee of the organization, that i should expect further correspondence from them which entails a signed job contract and supporting documentation regarding my employment via email. That I should endeavor to sign those forms and send it back to them ASAP, so they could begin my application for settlement plan, after which they will proceed with my provincial Endorsement and subsequently my Permanent Residence application to Canada. shocked shocked. My whole body was shivering... then I began to ask myself, could this be true or am i dreaming?. grin. This was one of the happiest day of my life meanwhile my PR will be the best of all. grin..... The waiting is not an easy one but I believe everything will work out in due time and I'll receive a PPR in few months to come grin

I hope my story stands to inspire and motive you all. My advice is that you should keep on pushing and never relent. Someday you will definitely find your dream employer and they will accept your application with open arms.

Keep faith, trust the process and always be optimistic.

I wish you all the very best.

It surely will. Can you kindly share the sample of the cover letter and CV. It will go along way in my process. Presently sending mails to coys in SK and ON. Thanks in advance.

It will end in praise

Hello Good people.

I'm looking to apply for any job opportunity related to my field of study and hopefully relocate to Canada.

I have a Bs.c in Accounting 2015, 29 years old, Self employed(I'm into freelance, Domain flipping, Bitcoin trading).

The issue now is i really don't have that much onfield work experience in a manner of speaking.

I however did do Npower (N-Agro-2018-2020), i really don't know if this will qualify as an experience or something.

Please i'm a total novice in this and i would really need guidance and direction on how to go about the process.

Do i stand a chance in getting a job and relocating?

Funds is not an issue at all, i just need the proper guidance.

Thanks!

Frankrobbn1:

Breakdown of the cost of AIPP PROGRAM -

ECA - N110,000
IELTS - N75,000
PR APPLICATION $550 AND RPRF $490 (Right of Permanent Residence fee) - $1040 which is equivalent to = N292,240
BIOMETRICS - $85 which is equivalent to N23,885
MEDICALS @IOM - N41,500

Total = N542,625

It's now a requirement for all provinces in the Altantic that Applicants must submit ECA and IELTS as at the time of Application for a provincial endorsement. This rule was recently effected. It was not in place when I started my process. However, during the processing of my endorsement the immigration officer requested for proof of my highest level of education and a copy of my resume.

Permanent Residence is a visa/status granted to a foreigner who is not a Canadian citizen and bestowed the right to live and work in Canada without any time limit on their stay. Whereas, work permit is a temporary resident visa that allows you to work for a specific period of time for an employer. The work permit was originally created for companies/employers that are anxiously/urgently seeking for a foreign employee to come over to Canada and fill up the labour shortage in their organization and subsequently apply for their PR within Canada.

The company complained that they have had issues with Nigerian applicants applying for Work permit to Canada. They further explained to me that applicants from Nigeria are been invited for an interview at the canadian consulate (embassy) at Lagos. During the interview, the visa offficer at the embassy will begin to run a background check on the applicants work experience letter (reference letters) as well as start contacting/calling each and every of the referees on the applicant's resume, the employer in Nigeria, and also the applicant's family members in order to ascertain that the applicants really had the job experience in the corresponding NOC stated on the job offer from the employer in Canada. Furthermore, they complained that Work permit application takes forever like 8-12 months before a response is communicated to the applicant, which all end up as a REFUSAL. So he advised that Permanent Residence is the best option for Nigerian applicants seeking to migrate through the AIPP program and the PR process takes at least 6 months or less in most cases.

I hope this helps.
Good day boss.. please, are those above stated payments exclusive of the visa fee or it’s what is used to run d visa ?

Well, so far, in the space of 5 weeks that I started sending resumes to designated employers, 3 employers contacted me with positive emails. One of them sent me an email asking some questions about my previous work experience and why I applied to his company for job etc. I think he's satisfied with my answers and he sent another mail asking me when and how should he contact me for over the phone interview, and that he would be contacting me in 2 weeks time. well, I'm still expecting his call. The other 2 were like they would save my details and contact me when they want to start recruiting for April season.

Some ppl were saying that designated employers under AIPP are somehow handicapped to bring employees from outside Canada due to COVID, i hope that's not true.

Guys pls share your experience so far.
