@ Mod,

Really curious to know what Nairaland’s current stance is on the matter of Bosun Davies / next / Brabus.
Reasonable to assume it’s “buyer beware” but with so many cases, shouldn’t there be some kind of sticky thread to warn innocent consumers? Just like we have in the business section where the sums are often for much smaller figures

Sand Mining

Good morning!

Anyone with idea on how to build a mini sand dredger or where to rent should please share with me.
If you can also provide me with information on where to get local miners, I will be glad.

I have a parcel of land that I’d like to restore its shoreline.

Thanks.

Use the mail mod function sir or check his signature for his direct line for a faster response.

Don’t forget to ask for you own share of the “fictitious N5m” that they recovered from Brabus grin grin

I know those guys at pump and sell but those are a lot more expensive. I’ve seen some cheaper/local dredgers ones before but I didn’t bother to ask questions.

I’ll try explore the Bayeku local miners. Thanks.

Getting good water is not easy in that areas though but even at that 350k is too much.

I lived and did a lot of projects in that area for years.

+/- 200k or max 250k should give you something good depending on the terrain. The land is marshy swampy land and it requires depth in some areas.

I’ll get a more realistic figure from my contact in Cooperative Villas

_______
This is coming from a long term resident of Cooperative Villas Badore and a landlord at Unity Estate Badore. grin grin

Ok, I will be expecting your response as the site is beside Cooperative Villas. The guy that did his in January last year said that he paid 250k to the same contractor to get to the required depth of clean water and the water is good.

I just spoke with him and he said 150k. I asked if he’s sure and he said “Yes for good water.”

He has been working in Cooperative Villas for almost two decades now. You can just pop into the estate office or anyone you meet in the estate to inquire about him.

He’s called Pastor.

For whatever it is that you want to do, I think the quantity of cement is too much.

What are you working on? I mean what are you building? Is it a foundation? Or a slab (decking)? Or fence?

Oh! There’s a tool on https://www.kobocity.com/p/7-calculators to help you with the calculations.

You’ll need about:

- 1500 blocks (assuming the columns/pillars will be reinforced concrete and not block)
- 100 bags of cement (max for both raft and the fence including the column casting)
- 30 tons of granite is a lot though but I don’t know how granite is sold at your end.

I don’t know much bore will cost you in Shagamu but I know the area have diff soil nature this make the diff in cost.
The blue cylinder there is water treatment plant setup, it’s also available in stainless steel.
You don’t need to change the cylinder (it’s last longer)
The only things to change ones the you notice the water is due for services is the chemical content loaded inside it, this can come ones or trice in a year depends on the real nature of your water from the bore hole.

I believed I have answered your questions
More questions are welcome.

Thanks, can you guys help provision a bore hole in Sagamu?
If yes how long does this normally take & how soon can you have it done?

Please can you tell us the outcome of the court case?

The Nigerian Judiciary system is wack. Have you heard of DPA. DPA is at the point of handling a case for some persons who were wrongly accused and imprisoned for about 15 years now because the accuser is a big boy. Men who are currently in their mid 40's are now looking like men who have neared 70 years.

So tell us your exact gross with the man you are accusing and stop beating around the bush.
Reading American history via Google you may see some lies in between the lines.

30 ton of granite for what?
Are you using granite for pillar?
One straight line of 100 ft is 88 blocks
One straight line of 50ft is 44 blocks

He is doing a raft of 3 boards for the plot of land.
Yes he will use granite to cast the columns.

Granite does not go bad. He will still use same to use as columns for his gate(s).

I think we are both saying the same thing.

88 x 7 x 2 = 1092 (less blocks for pillars)

44 x 7 x 2 = 480 (less block for pillar and gate opening)

Total = 1500+

Your own formula is just the baba Ijebu way of estimating quantities grin grin
Block must not break

I’m not sure if he/she’s using granite for the columns. I’m not the owner of the project.
