Is there any airline particular about having return ?
For example will turkish ask for return ticket while qatar will allow oneway ?

Yes turkish is fond of that. I really don't know their reason. Return is cheaper actually but it's not easy to sell the return ticket.

Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by amadeeva28(f): 8:29am On Feb 19, 2021
@Denry you can buy a one way ticket on Qatar airways, egyptair or emirate.

please how sure are you that this can be possible with the above airways you just mentioned without them disturbing me and insisting for a round ticket?
Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by Bettymi: 9:04am On Feb 19, 2021
Well the issue now, only turkish and qatar fly there. And turkish is the only one with good deal but return isn't cheap way more than one way. Qatar isn't so cool, its 42hrs flight to get to kharki.

@Denry I am sure of the information i sent to you because

1. I went to Ukraine in 2014 and that was the time i recalled travelling with a return ticket because according to my agent, it was part of the visa requirements. While i wz i was in Ukraine, I visited Nigeria during summer on two several occasions but not with a return ticket bt a on-way as it was very cheap.

2. The only airlines that you can travel with without needing a transit visas are Qatar, Emirates, Turkish Airways.

3. You are travelling with a type D visa, which is a student visa and not a tourist/buisness visa. Airlines can only request you to get a return ticket if your visa is not that of a student.

4. To clear your doubts, I would advice you to contact the airlines directly, they all have offices in nigeria and their numbers can be gotten online.

I hope this helps.
Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by Bettymi: 9:31am On Feb 19, 2021
I think i will buy oneway, then use $12 to book another as return ticket from ukraine to lagos. More like a dummy ticket or can one buy multi city ticket . because other airlines are cheaper even
Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by amadeeva28(f): 9:47am On Feb 19, 2021
@Bettymi I think Qatar Airways is a much more better option as their layover is 3hr 20min (which is very incase there is a delay in lagos you be on a safer side)

Turkish airlines currently have 1hr layovers at Istanbul which is too short, you wouldn't want missing your connecting flights to keiv.

To answer your question concerning buying a return ticket, i would advise you not to as it is not necessary and a waste of money. Call qatar and verify if you are still in doubt.

Attached is a flight itinerary for qatar and the price is not bad either

Book Qatar Airways if you intend to use one way route and don't forget to make arrangements for airport pick up. If not it's automatic deportation

Kharkiv is the destination. Qatar is 42hrs to kharkiv and 24hrs layover in Doha. Which i find crazy

I think we gonna use this websites that book ticket for a fee more like a dummy ticket that will be valid for certain days. 42 hrs to kharkhiv is too much .
Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by amadeeva28(f): 11:05am On Feb 19, 2021
@Bettymi if your intented final destination is kharkiv, your only option would be turkish airways. Turkish Airways to kharkiv has longer layovers (up to 13hrs 25min)

You can choose to lodge in a hotel at the airport in instanbul for that period of time or wait at the lounge in the airport.

Another option would be stopping at keiv and taking a bus/train to kharvkiv. You will have to clarify with your agent first if its possible to arrange pickup for you at keiv.

@Mania1999 stop overs also means Layover.

Most International travels are not usually a straight flight.

For example if you want to travel to Ukriane with Emirates (i.e dubia airline), they will have to stop at dubai to change aircraft before landing at your preferred destination.

The stop over at dubia is referred to as layover..some airline may have multiple layovers depending on your choice.

it's a little bit difficult cause you have to keep checking on the vfs website always to know when they open slots do that you can fill in your informations, chose an available date and pay for it online with your atm card so that the date will be booked for you. That's all.
