My other observation is that some of us are trading with a not too good habit of over trading even with the leverage of 1:25 that I suggested just to tame over trading.
Above all, we are all doing fine and I strongly advise we reflect and adjust. When you trade responsibly, you will still end up in top 3.

The following are my mindset when competing

1. I try not to exceed 2% of equity on each trade. Sometimes 1%

2. Stop loss is pips ranges between 10-20pips

3. I don't take any trades unless it's has risk reward of 1:2 minimum

4. Finally, my goal is to be among the top 3.

The lesson I picked up was;

If I tame my emotions and manage risk properly, I could be a consistently profitable trader, I think same could apply to other participants. I notice how participants doing very well , then suddenly their equity drop after taking huge risk in a bid to climb the table

I don't know if it's possible to avoid stop hunts.

But here is what I do.

After getting my entry trigger (e.g. Engulfing candle) on the 15mins TF, I don't enter. I place a buy or sell limit order. Let's assume am buying, after the entry trigger, I put my stop loss 3-5 pips below engulfing candle. My entry price will be placed in such a way that I don't exceed 10-20 pips stop loss on the trade.

So in a nutshell, I wait for the entry trigger, then I place sell or buy limit.

I don't know if it's clear enough. Am not in a position to give trading advice, just sharing what I did doing the contest.
