Hello everyone...
Gurus in the house pls I need your advise
Study visa application has been on background check since Dec 9, 2021. Deferred till may 21 hoping that would give enough time for a decision to be reached, but at this rate I have no idea how long it will take.
First application made in set 2021 was declined. This is the 2nd application which was submitted on Dec 7 2020. Got notification on Dec 9 that medical was passed and Nothing since then. Kindly advise. Thank you

Hello Friends,

I just got the NSE request letter. I am self-sponsored. They said I need to provide a bank statement for 6 months and 12 months of bank history.

I submitted 3 statements, 2 from First Bank, and 1 from UBA totalling #5.4m and $10,000USD. These funds haven't all been sitting in the account for 12 months o; in addition, I have also made tuition deposit of about $18,000CAD even before submitting my application. First bank is not listed among the banks that subscribe to the mbankstatement facility.

They said if I don't reply to the request in 30 days, the application would go through the normal process.

Does this mean my file processing would be on hold pending when I supply the statements or not?

My program is for Spring 2021, starting in May. What do you think I should do?

Hello,

Usually it should be on hold until you submit the required documents, or until the 30 days deadline elapses.

But nobody knows what goes on in the background.

For the First Bank statement, you can have the bank stamp all the pages of the statement, attach a reference letter and forward it to IRCC.
That's what alot of persons have been doing to tackle that.

I'll advise you submit the statements so you can meet up with the deadline.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES

Has anyone here been successful using bank statements not from "mybankstatement", and also do they expect the statement have to reflect through the 6month and 12month period

He just gave you the best advice...12 months period means your account must have been running for1yr n above. Then the 6months means they need the statement for a period of 6months..just do as deoemmanuel advised, it will end in praise.

GCMS note out.

VO saying he's not sure how the fund was accumulated, then go ahead to say he's not sure fund will be sufficient for study again.. Available fund is more than X5 of whole study cost.

Whats Your bsc grade, 2.1 or 2.2?
And how much did you declare?
Who's your sponsor ?

I have a 2.1 bsc information technology, my sponsor is my dad (he declared 8mil naira), he is retired. But I am partly funding my education in Canada from a joint estate account owned by me and my sister but bears my late mother's name because the account was opened to transfer funds owed by the Nigerian FG (declared 16mil naira)

Please in a case where an applicant provided two sponsors’ statement of account alongside the applicant’s statement of A, and then an NSE request was gotten.

Would the applicant have to submit MBS for all the three initial statements, or can the MBS for the main sponsor be submitted alone if it has well over 30k CAD?

Hello house please I need help. Like I said earlier, I am planning to start my application very soon. I want to ask about this *mybankstatement* I am planning to go to zenith Bank and first bank to request for my bank statements and then scan and upload directly into my application. What is your view about this ? Or it's a must I use mybankstatement? If it's a must, please is zenith and first bank working for my bank statements for now ? If yes, how do I go about it ? Lastly, in paying the study permit application fee, which one works better ? First bank or zenith Bank ? I have mastercards for both. Gurus help #afomon

In addition to @ deommanuel response, you can also attach a response letter addressed to the Deputy High Commission of Canada.

Indicate in your letter that First Bank of Nigeria Limited is not on the my bankstatement platform reason you are submitting an official stamped copy.

So on the letter, you can just itemize concisely what you are attaching and merge everything in one single document and submit as instructed in the IRCC letter.

Otunbetee has already clarified your enquiry regarding 6 to 12 months.

All the best.

Someone should help answer this please, it's making my total WES fees to be almost 350CAD which is not normal .. ☝️

Good afternoon everyone!

The total tuition is approximately 5 mill naira plus 10k cad totalling about 8 million naira.
I have 5m plus in my personal savings, accrued since 2013. A close-knit(close friend) of my late father has transferred 10 million to my account sometime last month and I have prepared a DEED OF GIFT for the said amount.
The company will provide me with introduction letter to the Embassy and one year income accrued with the company.

I have applied to UNBC but yet to get their decision. I couldn't apply to UNB as promised because I didn't want to waste application fee. I already applied to Centennial college but yet to get their decision too, though I am very hopeful with them.(I am yet to pay app fee since they will have to go through the docs submitted before I go ahead to make 95cad for app fee.)
I intend being my own sponsor

1) Please,how good are my chances in getting a study visa with these?
2) Even after the deed of gift, do I need to provide evidence to support why he had to gift me such amount?

@Frankrobbn1
@Lekiboboe
@Amylew
Sis, I think you are good to go as per the finances.
You have a good profile, and its good that some money has been in your savings account for as long as 2013.
The money you are being gifted and your savings in total is more than expected. With the support of the company too and the letter, it is great.

For the column that says YOU, use standard delivery, you don’t need to have your own Wes copy urgently. While for U of Alberta, if you really need your transcript submitted to them(the university) ASAP, you can choose the $25 there, if not just go with the standard delivery.

I’m not so sure about this, I had an account that was created on sept 2020 by my father and was deposited with 7m for my studies, I explained that in my sop, and my father explained that in his statment of sponsorship and I was granted ppr. I think you just have to be honest and make it make sense

There is not any strong correlation between statistics and food science. Get a course that is related to your BSc

Do submit the MBS for all the statements you initially included. It shows that you have more than enough accessible funds

If they are not sure on how the money was accumulated then they assume you don't have it. You have to clearly and in detail state the source of the funds (a business or investments). Talk about what your sponsor does and his/her source of wealth and their readiness to sponsor you.
Also have a paragraph where you talk about you family (Family Ties)
Talk about how advantageous your course of study would be to you and the Nigerian society. Strengthen your purpose of visit and highlight on the importance of your prospective course of study
