You will have to respond to the query raised, as long as the application is not properly filled or there is an issue with the application, CAC will not approve the application because it will not be suitable for you as well. I have been dealing with some people who got their approval with one or two mistakes or deficits in their application. The bank will not accept it and even the person that did the application will not feel too happy about what he or she has done, so the best thing is to constructive look at the query raised and seek for necessary amendment and solution.

I think that's not the question he asked and I'm having similar issue with business name registered same day... I tried to make more enquiry by typing the name on CAC public search website and discovered it's still showing registration in progress.... The question is for how long will it take CAC to update the new registered company on their database?

Firstly, what he/she asked was about FIRS taxpro portal and not CAC public search portal. If the company is a registered Limited Company, automatically TIN comes with it and when applying for TCC online, the first thing to be more concerned about is the email address attached to the TIN of the limited company as well as the password.

Secondly, as regards new companies and the CAC public search platform. The truth is that the new EDMS portal comes with it challenges as like the previous CRP and you are right. The CAC is yet to update the public search platform with companies newly registered. They will definitely do that in due time but that does not stop the newly registered companies from commencing business or going about their legitimate operations. Some of my clients are already opening corporate bank account and pursuing their legitimate business as a going concern.
Note: Before the advent of the CAC public search platform, companies were duly registered and they operated hitch-free.

Firstly, change the nature of the business to a vocation or form of business, not the occupation of the proprietor. For example, instead of using teacher you can use teaching, instead of a bricklayer you can use bricklaying and block making etc. It is always about the vocation or form of business and not the occupation of the proprietor.

Secondly, change the date of commencement of business to the particular day you are filing the application. According to CAMA 2020, a business must register its business name with the Commission, within 28 days of commencement of business. Therefore, the proposed business name under registration must be a going concern.

Please i recently created CAC-CRP Account with my details and I tried applying for name reservation for my friend, unknown to me that my profile will be used as part of/or the proprietor. Please is there a way this can be modified as the Business name reservation belongs to my friend and not me.

I hope you have not paid the filing fees/payment for the application. It is only an accredited agent portal that is empowered to register for others excluding himself in the application, an individual or public user portal can only register the company or corporate entities of the initiator of the portal. Therefore. your name will always pop up in all registration on your public user portal.
There is only one way to remove yourself if the filing fees have been paid. Wait till the company is fully registered by CAC, then you can apply for removal of proprietor.

If the name was approved in December 2020 that means the approval will be expired around February 2021 depending on the actual date of sending the name for name approval. This is March 2021 and the approval will have expired, however, if someone else has submitted a similar or identical name to what you initially submitted after the mandatory 60 days grace have elapsed, you will not be getting the name because CAMA 2020 states that after the 60 days of reservation and the presenter chose not to register the approved name the Commission is at liberty to approve the same name or a similar name to someone else. It all depends on who comes first or who applied first.
