Good morning,

Please I want to buy Nisan Murano 2005. The price is good and the car looks ok but I have never used Nisan especially Murano before. My neighborhood requires raised vehicle due to bad muddy road .

The impression I normally get about Murano is the gear that in normally have gear issued like the 2001/4 model of Honda Odesey and how it is very expensive.

Your advice will be most appreciated.

Thanks..

Thanks for the post sir, it was very informative.
I would also like to give my own view on this topic.
Maintaining a car is one of the best way of getting the best out if it, but the reverse is the case here in Nigeria, they always want to spend less maintaining and also get the best out of the car.
One should take his/her car for a preventive or periodic maintainance at least once in a month.
If you want to know more about cars and also want to know how to earn a lot and tons of money from cars.
Hit me up on WhatsApp; 08102802348.
I would be holding an informative class tonight.

Gazzuzz . I've been doing some research on ducraft brakes

What do you think about ducraft brakes?
If you want to use ducraft brakes make sure you buy ducraft discs also both are compactible if you buy only the pads it will damage any other disc you are using even if it is a new disc because ducraft is pure ceramic cannot go on steel discs

My toyota corolla 2010 automatic started popping out of transmission during motion. Work was done on it before and it stopped but it has started again. The technicians refused to tell me exactly what he did.

But I noticed the acceleration was not smooth like before after it changes from gear 1 to 2. The gear 2 viberates during motion as if you are using a lower gear.

Presently I can only use it when driving slowly on the street but can't speed up with it.
Any attempt to speed up will disengage the gear though it is on Drive. It will be firing without moving.
Good for street but bad for expressway.

What could be the problem?

It is called gear slippage. Either the gearbox oil is a wrong texture that can onlu carry load on lower gears and slips on higher gears or your gearbox fibres are burnt. Take a look under ur car, do you see gesr box oil leaks then you might have been running on lownoil which must have killed the gearbox

Hi Gazuuz. Nice job you are doing, having read through this trend and it's the most trend were one can find solution to persistent car issues. Thanks once again.

I use a carmy 04 model v6, 1mzfe.

Pls of recent I got my CEL on, scanned it the codes are
P0300
P0301
P0303
P0305
P0420
P0430

Have changed spark plugs, checked coils (with a multimeter they are okay, even swapped coils, since it's a V6 but I still get misfire codes in the banks 1) changed fuel filter, gotten new air filter, serviced fuel injector, at a time I swapped the fuel injector bank 1 to bank 2 and vice versa.

Still get these codes come up after covering 75Miles.

My kazeem says the car compression is okay,

I don't feel any drivability issues. It's revs well and fires well on the road. My mech even took it for s spin drive and said that the car picks very quickly and well unlike other cars he has driven.

Pls Gazuuz and other car gurus, Autologic and all
I need your help in resolving this issue as am not comfortable with these CEL codes being on.

Thanks

Attached is a pics of the CEL codes.

The catalyst on the bank 1 is eaten oit because it is behind the engine and is always heayed up so the oxygen sensor is readig eratically caisijg misfires. Your problem is your catalysts majorly the bank 1

Hello guys, I got a Lexus gs300 last decemeber, I didn't know the car will be that low, the road that leads to my house was very bad and the car has been constantly hitting the floor. So i want to ask, can this damage anything in one month? The road has been repaired now but my car now makes a rattle sound anytime i start it, it is worse if it's the first start of the day.

Second question, the two back tyre rims have black residue on them, it even leaves the black dust on the ground, someone suggests i need to change the brake pad? Is that the case?

Third Question, I want to service my car, previous seller was using Toyota SL SAE 20w/50 ( black keg) but i can't find that same exact one here in ibadan, the closest i found is Toyota SJ SAE 20w/50 ( red keg) can i use that instead? Or can i use another oil ( your recommendation?)

Fourth Question, I did wheel alignment a month ago and since then my afs light has been on, it seems i have to make adjustments to the afs sensor? But most mech here don't really know what that is, what do i tell them to check and where? Or can someone recommend to me a good mechanic in ibadan? Thank you

P.s scanner only shows catalyst converter error code

Answer 1: there are 2 running bars below all toyota and lexus nothing actually touches the floor except it is hilly

Answer 2: fake or bad brake pads, nothing more

Answer 3: open yoir engine, check the engine oil cover the oil type to use is written there. The oil to be used does not depend on the previous owner he might just be a slowpoke to use a cheap oil killing the engine

Answer 4: pit on your car press and hold the AFS off light for 3-5 seconds it should adjust itself and go off if not please give me a feedback

This is the fallacy of the year. Ducraft only manufacturers brake pads.

. As long as your disc rotors do not have scars and grooves and it’s not rusty you can use your rotors on your new ducraft ceramic brake pads. If his rotors are grooved it will eat up your ceramic brake pads

@Gazzuzz pls help... my 09 camry is showing P00016 upon scan. Crankshaft positioning, Correlation Bank 1 sensor...

What does this mean?
I changed the shaft for the right leg on saturday.

A lot of possibilities.

1. Defective intake vvt cam

2. Defective vvt solenoid

3. Sludge

4. Wrong engine

5. Wrong timing settings.

Biko.dont make me laugh sir. Do not just write out of assumption. Please make your research and give us feedback ducraft produces brake disc but oga you will pay with your nose that is why they first sell it as a package to you and if you insist on pads only they warn you. Please when ever you go to the us visit their shop and see for your self. They give you a complete package of disc and pads

If the code came up jist after you changed the shaft my next question is what side of the shaft ? If it is the passengers side the mechanics must have hit the crankshaft sensor while fixing it please go under the car on thay side and check on the crankshaft sensor. Another common cause is a bad OCV 0016 should be on the exhaust side which is back of the engine please remove ans test with a battery if it is working then it means your engine oil is too heavy for the car change it to a synthetic 5W-20 oil.tnks

First of all the crank sensor is no where close to the CV axle and even if it was hammered, it will not throw a correlation code.

Also the exhaust side of a 2az engine is not at the back but in front .

Finally No 2az owner in Nigeria has any reason to pour 5w20 engine oil into his vehicle . (Massive Oil burn)

The average Foreigner cannot afford carbon ceramic brake rotors sir, you are looking at a minimum ₦3,000,000 for a set. They are only used in high performance cars sir. Please stop your misinformed comments on this thread as they are not helpful.

Car is 2007 Toyota Corolla.

Here is the issue.

If I start in the morning, it starts well immediately. No issues. Then I allow it to idle for like 30 seconds before I drive off.

It would drive well and all.

Then after driving for like 2 minutes, engine would start jerking and making some pulsing sound. If I open the bonnet, I will see the engine jerking seriously.

If I park and disengage the gear, the jerking will continue and RPM will hover slightly above 1. The car’s normal idle RPM is usually around 0.8 (or 800). If I reengage the gear while this is ongoing, the engine would go off.

If I restart it, it will start and the issues will continue. And if I match the gas, it would respond accordingly. But once I remove my leg from the gas pedal, RPM will rest above 1 and the jerking will continue until everything normalizes

This whole episode will last for a minute.

And after that, everything will return to normal again and car will drive well, with no issues again.

I have changed the spark plugs, and cleaned injectors. But this problem persists.

Please, what could be the issue?

P.S. I live in the East. The mechanics here don’t use scanner. So, I cannot run a scan for now. I have ordered a scanner from Lagos which should arrive soon. But before then, I just need to know what I can do to stop this issue.

Thank you for your comment, correction and advise. I will heed to your advise. I did not mention hammered sir for the shaft i only said if it is on the passengers side then he should just go under to check if it had disintegrated just to be sure. I neither did not say the Crankshaft sensor was close to the CV axle. CV axle sir is not shaft, the guy said shaft means he pulled the entire shaft from the gearbox not only the CV axle so we need to be clear.. I made a mistake on the exhaust side of the 2AZ being behind so i stand corrected bit i still stand my advse to check the OCV behind the engine which is the intake side. And for the ceramic brake pads atleast you agree they exist that is why pple only but the pads. I appreciate your time. have a nice day
