It's a book written by 44 men (If I'm not mistaken) of different occupation and from different parts of the world

It's not only one person that wrote the Bible

It was inspired by God, God used images and visions in inspiring the writer's (He included the good and bad)

Each Book e.g Matthew, Mark and etc was written by different people and none of the verses contradict each other

It was modernization that made people join all the books together making it look like 1.


Try and understand that first


Secondly in answer to your question, his disciples did not run away, they watched him suffer, even his mom watched him suffer

Nobody could do anything because it was meant to happen

He came to die for our sins


He literally took away all our sufferings (I know you will still want to ask why we are still suffering today)


So if you're asking why his disciple dessert him while he needed them most it's because it was meant to happen that way

And do remember that all his disciples also received their death sentences each.


Jesus could have done something to prevent that ; since all power has been given to him after his resurrection but he didn't because IT WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN

The very same Peter had asked Jesus Christ how many times He was to forgive His brother who erred against Him and Jesus Christ had commanded that He do it 70 *7 times per day.

The same Peter denied Jesus Christ three times, and for each one of those times, Jesus Christ asked Peter if he, Peter, loved Him or not.

It was Jesus Christ forgiving Peter 3 times, the same number of times Peter stabbed him in the back for.

And it was also Jesus Christ telling us that when we fall, all we need to do is forgive ourselves and get back to accepting(trusting) and obeying the very same commandments He has given us all.
