On this note, 2 things will make you successful. One is your profile optimization and another is your ability to draft a winning and problem solving proposal, and 60% professional and convincing communication with your client.

You are lucky to have discovered freelancing early. Please, be careful, don't ever feel to have arrived, look up daily. Keep investing in your career, go for trainings. Spend your earnings on trainings, its time to invest in your career life than on any latest phone.

I don't start early but I bless God for how far He has led me, I still don't have an iPhone, i still don't buy a phone worth 100k, naaa not even 50k phone, cos I don't need them for my career, but my laptop is always new and latest. I go for courses worth over 500k. I make over 1M monthly, I don't show off, I don't buy liabilities. I never still reach there, people close to me make more, like moreee, so I keep myself under to get more.

Except you need an iPhone or other expensive phones for business, don't go for them now. You also need to learn money management at this age, you will never regret doing so. Learn when to say no to pressure, learn when to be alone and study, learn to keep good friends, no for show off.

Live for a reason, write your goals down and pursue them, do not allow life and its events dictate your path. The skye is not even your limits if you guide your life with all due diligence.

Another thing is, be humble and obey your parent. Submit totally to God's will.

My advise is not to everyone. For his age, I am old enough to mentor him, I am also more experienced to give a good advise. At 18, all that comes to mind when you make money is good phones, good shoes, good cloths nothing more and it's exactly what he stated in his post. A young guy of 18 is still growing, still needs to acquire special skills, not to look good and buy expensive phones, please your social peers and leave your career. The best thing he can do for himself now is lavishing on courses and trainings to grow, am sure he is not done with school too.

Freelance has been a blessing to me, I wish I started it on time, I worked for over 5 years before knowing what freelance is. So, if I leave an advise for someone who is just 18, it's a path I have walked on, the sky is not even his limit if he get it right now.

There is time for everything. If you know you haven't attained that academic height, leave lavishing on self now, invest in your education in form of courses and trainings.
