You are wretched, poor, subhumans who can't even afford the food that you are growing! Did we ask you to end the boycott? Why don't you continue and see where it will leave you?

The largest market of produce from the north is the south. Their action has caused them great losses in the past one week. Many of the traders had threatened to pull out for fear that their stock will get spoilt. The tomatoes, onion and other food items. The market in Niger, Chad and Cameroun they had previously counted on cannot empty a quarter of their stock. The traders' union are only seeking an avenue to resume supplies after making it look as if they were "begged" to come back.
As at this morning, a bag of onion that used to cost #75,000 is now #30,000 in Kano.

Truer words has never been said

Please leave those naive teenagers to continue ranting.

Real bread winners know the impact of such boycott.

It's plain ignorance to say southern Nigeria can feed itself. How?

We have a forest vegetation, there's a limit to how much of our land can be used for farming.

Most of us are into white collar jobs, only very few are into agriculture.

And most importantly, majority of our agriculture is cash crop; cocoa, kolanut, cashew etc not whole food.

As for meat. We all know that chicken and fish are only for supporting beef at home and in occasions.

Without beef, all the chicken in SW can't feed Lagos alone. Do you not see that we even import frozen foods to supplement the supply of chicken ? That's even when beef was present. I swear, if this boycott continues for just two weeks, some people will start eating lizards.

Our diversity should push us to compliment one another. But no, greed and foolishness is pushing people to a foolish supremacy battle that characterizes the animal kingdom.

Typical NIG.GER attitude.

Read about "bigger moments" on google, you'll see just how foolish you've been for supporting this rubbish.
smart and intelligent.

You did not make sense because so called boycott is exercise in futility as people you presume to be starving are not perturbed but rather challenging you to bring it on. Alas! You chickened out.

You forgot to realise that a tomato farmer need money to buy other items and can only be achieved from proceeds of selling tomatoes.

The simple logic is that tomato farmer is starving more than civil servant that rely on monthly salary. You are all over the thread just to brazen up the failure of the exercise.

Very daft set of people

No name calling. Actually the herders know they are inconsequential in the scheme of things, reason they try to harness the farmers to get some relevance. Unfortunately the Hausa farmers seems unawares of this deception at the start of the blockage, but with the west unfazed and their continuous loss of revenue they have seeing through the deception in the unholy union. I believe never again will Hausa farmers ever join the herders in any strike action in NIGERIA.
Whereas come 05/03, Afenifere and others are gearing up campaign against consumption of Northern cow meat.

Liar! Stoppage of foodstuffs like raw tomatoes, pepper and cow are not enough or near starvation of southwest.

Truth be told, we consume beaf in the south but that is because we see it in availability, even in the present if cow meat sometimes we still include fish, turkey and other local meat. These few items are not enough for hunger in southwest after it's the ideology we offered which help stopping civil war is being use against us but we are more smarter than them.

We make our gari, elubo, tuwo, fufu and a lots of that, let me shock u, we have tomatoes here too though not in larger supply but it's only a matter of time.

We don't need the foodstuffs in the southwest, we appreciate them for awakening us.
