iROKO TV boss, Jason Njoku has said that school fees of 4.6 million Naira is cheap and he pays more for his 3-year-old, IgbereTV reports.

A Twitter user had shared the provisional bill for a school in Epe, Lagos State, with school fees of 4,643, 901 Naira.

oga no come show off here..you are spending more than 4.5m as school fees for a 3 years old son, what will then happen when he reaches primary 1 or jss 1....

I attended the best school in my local government and I paid 500naira throughout my primary school days
14500naira for secondary sch fees grin

What's the Jason dude trying to say? Maybe the word "cheap" has a new meaning. Being able to afford a luxury doesn't make it cheap. He should be reborn, come back as a civil servant and tell me that 4Million for a kid's tuition is cheap, then I'll take him seriously.

Exactly. He sounds more boastful than realistic. Everyone can't be on d same level. Even with d so called global standard, not every pays d same school fees and when comparing that standard with Nigerias standard, he left out standard of living which is d key ingredient in determining affordability

iROKO TV boss lives in Ghana. I have met him once at the Kotoka airport. As a non-Ghanaian, he has to pay fees in US Dollars, which is why he is making the comparison, albeit a very faulty one.

I really have a problem with tweets like this. Obviously any good parent should be willing to spend a billion on their kids if that translates to quality, but how is 4.6m super cheap? Rather be thankful for the privilege.
