USA is debating on increasing minimum wage to $15/hour. That is around #1,1880,000 per month. Increase minimum wage to #1,000,000 and see whether people won't pay #1m as school fee. |

That's my problem with some of the rich people in this country, that your palm kernel was cracked for you by some benevolent spirits doesn't mean that those who are struggling to crack theirs are lazy and that you can afford some Goodie's of this life without sweat didn't make them cheap. Imaging somebody saying a nearly #5m tuition is cheap whereas some of us are struggling to raise #1m for our businesses well there is God sha . 2 Likes |

I remember Max Romeo's song lyric: Uptown babies don't cry They don't know what suffering is like They have Daddies, Mummies and Nannies. The ghetto children manage the rugged old school which are left-overs of British colonial administration in Nigeria. This Nigeria for you! Imagine..N4m! That can start life for a young man in Nigeria. |

Oizee:Pls dont let yourself be brainwashed by these unrealistic and exaggerated pricing. The comment made by the so called J. Njoku has no moral values whatsoever, his comparison is also totally wrong. I live in the first World (W. Europe) . In the so called Deutschsprachraum i. e. Austria , Germany and the Swiss as a citizen you dont pay for the very high quality education your children get. The Text books are also given free , what the parents buy are just stationeries. Even if your child has to go to a boarding school accomodation doesnt cost so much. If you cant pay the so called millions for schooling does not mean that you are living in poverty. 8 Likes 1 Share |

femi4:The Man is talking Nonsense, how many people in the western world pay 4.6 million or about £8000 or $11k in the western world not many because it is free. I say this because If I was asked to pay, it will be difficult for me, despite the fact that I am on 30k pounds a year. How can he say it is cheap in a country where the minimum wage is 30k naira. 5 Likes |

Yes it is really cheap to 1% super rich and the 9% middle class. The rest 90% of Nigerians can’t afford this. Not even Nigerians alone. Majority of Americans can’t afford it because they are use to free education at elementary and secondary schools level. I can’t think of any government worker that will be able to afford this because majority make less than 1 million a year. Unless you have other means of making money. As at today most states in Nigeria still can’t afford to pay the 30k minimum wage. Some states can’t even pay salary regularly 3 Likes |

The man is right.... it is cheap.... and he said for Africa.... not compared to developed countries. These are boarding schools for the elite ... not ordinary boarding schools. If you ask me... ordinary boarding schools are expensive. We should consider these few points..... condition of the school.... the classrooms and the hostels.... quality of teachers .... number of children per teacher.... maintenance of facilities.... number of programmes provided for the children..... feeding.... menu and quality of food... not forgetting certified cooking staff....... to provide all of this require a huge budget. And then we get to the main menu... the kids. Most elitists kids are spoiled rotten..... and are allergic to being disciplined... especially the African way... as in ordinary boarding schools. Just imagine one 3 year old running around the classroom and the teacher has to beg and plead for that child to sit.... can you imagine how many more steps have to be taken to get that child to learn?... and we wonder why a certain father has to pay even more for his 3 year old |

4.6m naira is too cheap as compared to what you pay for your 3 year olds really? Hopefully when paying your workers too you transfer same energy and understand 4.6m naira or whatever you pay them is too cheap as compared to what they should be earning though I doubt 50% of your Nigerian staff see up to even 500k naira as salary. That makes you a big cheat yourself! 1 Like |

it depends how much you have in your account and how many children's you have... if you have over 20bilions in your account and you have just 1-2 kids, 4m school fees is cheap. God bless people differently. we are waiting for our own turn. 1 Like |
