I just got admitted into Georgia state university and University of Illinois Chicago. Both schools require 250$ acceptance deposits before I can get to know my scholarships offer and apply assistantships. Please my seniors in the house who are already in the system, kindly advise which of these 2 schools have a more robust offer for scholarships. I have 250$ for just one of the school and I'm at the junction of making a life decision.

Many good schools will offer you admission. US has a large number of schools so search well and check their requirements, you will find a lot of schools.

Hi guys I need your honest opinion on this, like put yourself in my shoes and tell me what you would do. ok so I started this studying abroad journey back in 2019 I was fresh out of high school and didn't plan on schooling in Nigeria, Canada has always been the only country on my mind. So I apply to one school in Canada, university of Manitoba, Winnipeg I was granted admission in November 2019 and applied for visa December of that same year, my decision envelope came and I was denied because of insufficient fund not because I didn't have the money the account wasn't funded so we funded the account and applied again and I forgot to add am not the only one going it's me and my junior sister and when I mean wasn't funded the money there wasn't enough for two people. So we funded the account and applied again in February 2020 and yes we we're using an agent so I didn't get any response from the embassy till October when only passport was returned without it being stamped and a little note which says Decision making is still in progress, final decision not taken I found that weird but since they gave a reasons I kept on waiting sending emails and webforms till February when I reached out to my agent and he said he got a mail from IRCC and he needed to see us privately and I was like wondering what went wrong so we met up with him only to tell me I've been banned from Canada for 5years for misrepresentation. Turns out IRCC already sent him an email since October to respond to clear their suspicion about misrepresentation and my agent didn't respond to them neither did he let us know about it until he was arrested, This was the same for my sister. I posted that on nairaland asking for you guys help and so on, i was told to avoid these countries:US UK Australia and New Zealand because they share the same database with Canada. Now I've searched for countries and I've come to the decision that Germany was ok for both me

Russia (They definitely don't share info with US)
Poland (there is a student visa thread for this)
Italy (They have a student visa thread too)

Best options I would suggest are Netherlands, Sweden or Norway (they all have student visa threads here too) but I don't know how difficult their visa process is. The first 3 I listed are easier to get visa to and you can transfer from an European school to Germany after a year (not really sure how it's done but people have done it on the German student visa thread).

You can do your research on these countries, find out how easy it is to get employment and stay back after graduation

If you read through my previous comments, you would know I respected his own opinion, I never said he was wrong, sometimes some schools do things differently. Well, probably your IG is low and you couldn’t discern or understand what I wrote.

At this point I'm confused and No schooling in Nigeria is not an option neither is schooling in Ukraine Cyprus or turkey so pls I need as much opinions as I can get

Are you going to write exam? what practice do you require? you don't need any practice. Just be straight forward honest and answer only the question you are asked ..don't ramble along with unnecessary reply.

EG:
Consular officer: Good morning

Your answer: Good morning ( Nothing like good morning Sir, or Good morning Ma)

Consular Officer: . Why are you going to study in USA?
Best answer: I was offered admission to study xyz course at XYZ university.

Unnecessary answer: I was offered admission to study at xyz university because i came out top in my class and got a scholarship to be at xyz due to my research work being accepted by Professor JJJ at www xyz bla bla bla.

I would assume you made a sarcastic statement or you were just plain ignorant. People practice what to say at interviews, because it's necessary. Considering the short duration given at the time of interview. It's normal for tension to set in. What practice does is relieve you off that momentum. If one practices long enough, the day of the interview looks like a routine. Past experience has shown that it helps to practice before the interview day (mock interview). The body has its way of responding to shock - which doesn't always end well. But with constant practice. The body adjusts as it can associate such scenario to something similar.

So please don't discourage people who would need the mock interviews to boost their confidence. What works for you might not work for others.

N.B the clause here is, cramming your answers - this is actually dangerous and suspicious too.
