We don't need war in Nigeria even if are to separate and go our different tribes it can be done peaceably. But your people have fired the first shot by secretly buying guns, sophisticated guns for that matter, and distributed it among your militia and cattle rearers irrespective of age, size, trained or not, hungry or not, housed or not, lacking in wisdom to handle a gun or not. The sultan should say something about the gun sharing formula or methodology or whatever before he can be taken seriously on a speech against war coming to Nigeria landscape because the war have started with what is going on in the country today. Why the food blockad if we are not at war? Why gun sharing? Why was territories was shared to the various fulani seriki everywhere with one in Lagos to welcome foreign emissaries to Nigeria in case they can not get to Sokoto or Abuja. War have started except Those waiting for a war declearation which in most cases of war occurred when significant and unarguably event happens. Many people in Nigeria today cannot safely visit their ancestral villages because of fulani militia kidnappings and killings. There is undeclared war in Nigeria today. |

Incognito403: Nobody is calling for war, last time i checked people are protecting themselves from fulani militias that is rated 4th most deadly terrorist group which they have code named bandits in some parts of the country. The idea that people are calling for war by defending their lands is unfounded and doesn't hold water. Go and check the number of communities these fulani militia men have disseminated and you will delete that your write up. 1 Like |

Redcrafton: Negotiation will be intensified by who exactly? Is using of gun's to intimidate and forcefully silent those who make efforts to be heard by the authority a negotiation for peace? Right now Nigeria is hopelessly divided along ethic line that has never been known since her creation, the leaders are as tribal as the citizens, if Nigeria doesn't restructure now, she is heading for another civil war, and it will be a complete different type of civil war from the one she had in 1967 every region will fight for their own territory 1 Like |

How come only some miscreants from the SE are spoiling for war when we all know they will start screaming genocide & for CNN, ICC, UN, etc to help them when the chips are down? You say you are more intelligent than the northerners then prove it. Let's see how good you are at real world strategies and diplomacy in a difficult situation. War is a zoo strategy, we all know how 1966/67 chestbeating ended. 1 Like |

jimyjames: Oga, you are turning the civil war history upside down. Who told you this lopsided story has not done you any good, but fed you lies to indoctrinate your senses. So the Igbos were just the Innocent, gentle and meek victims, being cheated by all the other regions before, during and after the war? And you believe this. The Igbos were the aggressors, with a wanton ambition to dominate Nigerian polity. They started it with the Nzeogwu coup by murdering Nigerian elite politicians from other regions leaving theirs alive. The North retaliated and all hell broke loose, the effect of which still resounds till today. The West only supported it because your army were targeting the Lagos coasts. Go and dust your history book to update yourself on the true facts and stop spewing out half truth. 3 Likes |

“We need to appeal to our senses to realise that no one has a monopoly of violence and returning violence with violence only multiplies violence. It is not bravery to attack vulnerable people when you can resort to law; it is savagery. membranus: First of all , the igbos did dominated other Nigerian ethnic groups back then, it was by merit and hardwork, it was never through aggression , in fact tribalism was introduced to Nigeria by awolowo and the northerners, the igbos only preached unity back then And how can a man like nzeogwu who was born in the North grew up in the North lived like Northerners and knew nothing about the igbos, even the igbo language which he couldn't speak, carry out a coup on behalf of the igbos? The army college recruits nzeogwu led to the house of the Saduana for that assassination were all northerners, why did they cooperate with him if really was an igbo coup? Yorubas participated in that coup too so why was it an igbo coup? The coup Actually failed it was ironsi an igbo that stopped that coup, and the first week after the coup, there was celebration all over Nigeria especially in the North, people like Lt col Kastina appeared on live radio broadcast with nzeogwu supporting the coup, it was after some tribal bigots from North and South West media started tagging it an igbo coup , ethnic profiling igbos that let to the killings of innocent igbos And if truly they wanted a revenge, cause of the so called igbo coup, the killing of ironsi and thousands of igbo officers around North, middle belt and South West was enough, why killing innocent citizens? And there has been other coups after the nzeogwu coup, the ethnicity of those people was not criminally profiled why? Adekunle Benjamin was already leading 40'000 troops under 3th Marin battalion fighting in biafra, so there is no way you will tell me yorubas were only involved when biafrans were targeting Lagos |

The sad aspect is that my revered king never said anything when the herdsmen were killing, raping children and women, farmers and breadwinners as little as stop sluaghtering of people. It pains to know that your people supported killings big time. What I don't understand is that, where you expecting that it will not get to a stage the other regions will not move to stop the carnage? The Fulanis are crying the victim. Anyway, it is good to hear your people are coming out to say you people imported the Fulanis 2015 to win elections, How shameful and unheard of. 1 Like |

There is so much hate and ager, fueled by online, and especially Nairaland warriors. If really, truly one has seen war, you won't wish for it. We talk of war,but the same way you kill others, they will kill you. You destroy their homes, kill their families, waste all they have and they do the same to you. There are a lot of Northerners in the south, but even more Southerners in the North. They were born there, grew up there, married, had families and died there. It may seem that we will enjoy peace and all the wealth we have to ourselves after war, but that's only if you live long enough. And that's if you don't suffer from PTSD; ask American soldiers fighting in other countries wars and get a detailed story. War is never the solution. 2 Likes |

jimyjames: First of all the igbos did dominated other Nigerian ethnic groups back then, it was by merit and hardwork, it was never through aggression , in fact tribalism was introduced to Nigeria by awolowo and the northerners, the igbos only preached unity back then You guys will never ever face the truth about the real origin of all these and move on with intelligent solutions. Propaganda will never replace the truth. The Igbos led by Azikiwe colluded with the North to gain power at the center in 1959 when Awolowo's AG team were tricked into waiting for them on a meeting to negotiate a way forward after the general elections that left the dominant NPC unable to form a government without a coalition. The North already reached out to the West via Akintola but the West decided to consult with the East first. What did your people do? They went up North to strike a deal with the North. Your 'merit and hardwork' led to your people using that 'opportunity' to dominate the federal service, foreign service, international scholarships etc. That did not stop the West from progressing and that was before the Oil dominance in our economy. You guys decided to dine with the devil, who were obviously not happy with your type of 'merit and hardwork' and you are still reaping the fruit till today. You played 'smart' as usual and now it's other people's fault! Smart again? War is never the solution! 1 Like |

The problem is not Nigerians wishing for war, the problem is outsiders wishing for Nigeria to go to war with self. Nigerians have nothing to gain from war; at least not as much as none Nigerians gain from Nigeria going to war. 1 Like |
