Hi House. I’m trying to help my kid bro process undergraduate admission. Since they require his high school transcript, I’m a bit confused if he needs to send his WAEC transcript, or his High school transcript from SS1-3 or he needs both to WES for his transcript evaluation. Thank you |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Nobody: 7:07pm On Mar 08, 2021 |
Judgepelumi:What he needs to send is his WAEC original result and high school transcript from SS1-3 |

Judgepelumi:I feel it's his High school transcripts that they are requesting for. Most schools ask for an evaluated transcript including your final result (I.eWAEC result). while some universities especially ivy leagues and tier 1 schools will ask for your High school transcripts from Jss3 through SS3 together with you school report and Final report. (I.e your Waec result since there's no 3rd term result) How about you message them to confirm which one they require? Is he applying via the common app? |

GentlSummrbreez:The cpga for admission will be stated on their list of requirements. It's not the same for every school, so just check your school's website |

excellentwork:Your interview will be 3 minutes or less. You seem to be preparing for a 30-minute conversation. Make it brief. No, you didn't choose Troy because of those characteristics, you chose them because they were the only school to offer you admission. Stating that you were denied admission to the other schools because they were competitive suggests Troy isn't a competitive school. I wouldn't say that at all. Why not just say "you are not sure even though you met all the requirements". ...lastly, please consider going with your child who is barely 3 years old and needs his/her mother. Any VO who denies you on the basis of a child should not be a VO. |

Azeebabe:1. You need to show enough funding for you and all your kids - their school fees, health insurance, etc. Your international students office can advise more on this. 2. You'd also have to be convincing at your interview that taking care of 3 or 4 kids wouldn't negatively impact your PhD studies (which are usually very demanding). Of course, proving home ties might not be so easy since you plan on going with all your kids. Let's see what other experienced folks here think. All the best anyways. |

Please expert in the house help me with the following question. 1.Can I book a date for interview before paying for my SEVIS fee, I don't have the money for the fee now until April. 2. Can I apply for visa with school A, and later Edit the school to B, before the interview. The reason Is that I av gotten my form1-20 from Troy, CSU,Findlay but just got admission with Buffalo today and it might take time before they issue me form 1-20.and it is the school I want to go. I need to apply to get dates, with what I at hand. Please I need answer to question 1 &2. Thanks |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by EmeritusR: 6:35am On Mar 09, 2021 |
UZAD:to your first question you can, after paying your MRV fee you can book appointment even without paying sevis fee but make sure you pay your sevis fee 3 days prior to your visa interview for your second question you can only apply for F1 student visa with just only one school, so I am sure if you already booked a date with Troy, you wouldn't be able to edit it again except you buy another MRV fee. so it better you check which would be best for you. |

Yes you can as long as you are on F1 visa You don't need to pay a new MVR fee to retrieve and submit a new DS160 ok UZAD: |

| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by TWoods(m): 1:53pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
Azeebabe:That's a lot. It would be difficult to convince a VO that you have the funds to support 5 children alone while working on a PhD program. Also how do you cover health insurance, living expenses, child care? If your husband is rich... you might get lucky. |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by EmeritusR: 3:42pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
chibertha:you should please know that once you have booked an appointment already in the CGI website, you can't change the sevis number and the school name again except if your appointment is canceled by them their self or you pay another MRV fee. you can only update some of your details there such as update your names, ds-160 number and so on. |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Azeebabe: 3:44pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
TWoods:Thank you for your response. The children are actually three but a family of five. I get your point, is the reason why the spouse also wants to follow in order to provide support for the wife while her program is ongoing. |

| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by TWoods(m): 4:23pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
Azeebabe:It is very doable. I would advise that your husband not apply for an F2 visa. You and your kids can go first and he can come to visit on a B1/B2 visa. The VO will want to know that you have a base back home and there is less concern about the ability to take care of the kids financially since your husband is working here and providing support. |
