Guys I have a small problem, I'm working on a particular U.S visa application and the surname is three (3) letters, anytime I fill the first page of ds160 it keep logging me out, do I use the first name which is more than 3 letters or what can I do?

Good evening house. God bless everyone contributing their quotas here. Here’s my problem, my cousin sent me an invite. I made the visa fee payment at gtb myself, snapped and sent the slip to my friend in the USA to help
Me fill it. Cos I don’t wanna make a mistake. He then gave his friend in the UK who’s a travel agent to fill it for free. He didn’t ask of my passport to upload. He only asked of my bio data, I sent him the a copy I snapped with my phone instead of a scanned one. I was at work and promised to scan the bio the following day. I was surprised he processed everything without asking for my passport. Now, he used two names instead of three names on my international passport. And I can’t edit it. He registered via this site: https:// cgifederal.secure.force .com. Someone should pls help me on how I can edit it properly. Thanks

Are you sure about this sir? And again, the guy that filled it didn’t ask me for my passport photograph, neither did he collect my bio data to fill the form. Is passport photograph necessary in filling the form? Pls, answer ASAP cos I’m contemplating on paying for another form tomorrow or next. Thanks ��

A lot of people were rejected. As usual there was a VO rejecting almost everyone and I was praying not to be sent there.
We were all standing in front of the VOs. I was the last on the queue. At some point it was a lady and I left there other people behind us were still taking finger prints. It was the lady’s turn but the VO directly in front of us asked me to come to him and he sent the lady to another VO. The VO who called on me wasn’t the one Viciously rejecting people but he just rejected the 3 People before me
My transcript:

VO : good morning, how are you today

Me: im ok , how about yourself?

VO: I’m great ... so why are you going to the US

Me: holiday

VO: how long?

Me: I travelled for a week, went on tour(mentioned some tourism attractions in the city I went) , did some shopping.

VO: are you traveling with your husband and child ?

Me: not at this time

VO: why?

Me: I need some me time really...

VO: *laughs* some me time?

Me: You know what I mean

Me: I’m a surgeon, I work at ***** I do **** surgeries, reconstruct bla bla (my comfort zone so I spent time there)

Vo placed my passport On the blue paper and my heart sunk. Then he says :

VO: I won’t be returning your passport at this time cos we have decided to give you A visa.

He brought out white paper.

Hé was friendly but more friendly with the 2 people He had rejected just before me. So I was nervous. I was worried also cos for every approval there were like 10 rejections. Most approvals were renewals.

This was my longest us visa interview. I don’t know why. thank God for everything

Haha!! Fear dey catch me sef! So they were rejecting new applicants? I thought they weren’t even attending to regular interviews just emergencies. How wrong I was!
All renewals got approved??

It was. I never thought I’d be taken back to student days. This was about 8years ago. Plus I’ve been renewing through drop box for a while now. Interview brought back some tension.

Yes they are gradually getting back to “regular “ now. Mine was a regular renewal. But I picked December as travel date. I only picked an interview date in March cos that’s the only date I saw.
Anyway, I’m sure the three that got approved were renewals, don’t know if there were renewals in the 20 something rejected sha

Guys, I saw a news today saying that us visa applicants rejected on or after Jan 2020 are being considered to come back for another interview without paying for a new fee/filling new form. Don’t know how true this is...any thoughts? My In-laws fall in this category and I want to apply for them again.

even if 60 people before you had been denied, you would still have gotten a visa. you are the ideal candidate. you proved conclusively that you have no intention of leaving your home country permanently. the VO probably had never met anyone on an f1 visa who didn't stay longer than 5 months at a time in the US.

You have to be careful oo. I’d say let this person do it first and get your confirmed date before you pay for anything because these are desperate times.

I hope it's not that fairheart of a guy; be careful, in fact, don't try it.

Keep being on the lookout, you’d probably find a closer date yourself, from what I’ve read here people find dates around 1-3pm so keep trying.
