Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, says he will not descend to the level of Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, by exchanging words with him.

Speaking on Arise TV on Thursday, Amaechi said he did not want to discuss Wike whom he has surpassed on all levels.

“I don’t think I want to address the issue of the governor, I have made my point and I have moved on,” Amaechi said.

“He was my staff, I can’t bring myself low. I was a governor, I was also a speaker, I’m a minister. I was two-term chairman of governors’ forum. The same when I was a speaker. Why should I be discussing him?”

Wike used to be their saviour because he supported Godwin Obaseki of Edo state until recently when he told ipob miscreants he was not in anyway related to them.

Ameachi became their sworn enemy since he became a minister.

Rotimi Amaechi may be right but Wike stood for him when he ran to Ghana to save his head during the court case with Celestine Omehia

Wike single handedly fought the battle and held forth for him till the coast was clear for him to return to enjoy the outcome of efforts put in by Wike and few loyalists.

Wike was also a local government chairman, minister and now a two term governor.
