Armed Robbers Attack Wema Bank Branch In Okuku, Osun state.

A group of armed robbers have attacked a commercial bank in Okuku in Osun State in south-west Nigeria.

The gunmen were said to have attacked the Wema bank branch in Okuku, a city located between Osun and Kwara States.

Channels Television gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday in Odo Otin Local Government Area of the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, also confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

She noted said the Commissioner of Police in Osun, Wale Olokode, has led a team of operatives to the scene of the incident for possible arrest of the armed robbers.

While it has to be ascertained if anybody was killed or injured during the attack, Opalola promised to provide more updates on the robbery.

A Twitter user simply identified as @AjiOpeyemi, shared a video capturing the aftermath of the incident on her handle.

She noted that two persons were feared killed, but the police have yet to confirm if there was any casualty as a result of the robbery.

You guys should stop claiming country hard is the reason behind crime. Condemn the bastards who are willing to kill, destroy all because of money. Put yourself in the shoes of those who were at the wrong place at the wrong time e and had to pay the supreme price for somebody else's greed. What is evil is evil. No matter how country hard, I rather drink garri everyday than steal or take a life because of money.

Unfortunately, this incident will leave some innocent citizens who were at the bank dead some others injured while majority of the others will suffer varying degrees of trauma. It so sad that we lie to ourselves that we practice democracy. Truth is that we are in total anarchy in this country.

I was traveling along this road yesterday when the robbery was going on. Our driver had to stop and later divert to another route.
