Good afternoon guys. I arrived Canada a few hours ago and still waiting for my connecting flight to Newfoundland.

The flight was lllloooonnngggg. Ethiopian airlines is so cheap and underrated. Please try it if you have time for the stopovers.

I know you can't generalize but the border officials and immigration personnels were super nice. The guy even came to the queue, took our documents (LOA, Tuition receipt, passport and the Declaration card we filled on the plane )and issued our permits without stress. When I went to check in my luggage, the attendants were so humble and attentive.

My guys don limme go Vancouver sha. Arriving St John's after midnight.

Still so speechless I don't know what else to say

Please just one question. How much was in your bank statement?

Relax and be calm, there is nothing to worry about. Some schools now give students' number on applying while you wait the process for admission be completed.
When did you apply, and what's the deadline for the course? Which school and course?
What you should know is the application rule is should you apply early, you would most likely get an early response which would come weeks after deadline.

It will end in Praise

I applied a week plus, Manitoba and a MGT course for September.

Good morning,

I have a pricking question:

If one has been admitted into a department and he intends changing his course of study and he his study permit application has been approved but he hasn't travelled yet, can he switch his course of study?

Note that he has paid full tuition to the institution.

Regards.

I doubt if you can get admission for an I.T. related course, cos am assuming you studied Chemical Engineering or related course, if you apply for an I.T related course, the Admission Committee will base their decisions on your Transcript that you don't av an Academic Background in I.T. and there is a possible Chance of you not getting the Admission if you do this

The way out in my own opinion is, if you have work experience in I.T, the only option for u to go for you is to apply for a PG. Cert in I.T. , cos you might av the work experience ,if you don't, there are Chemical Engineering related courses in colleges you can go for if the one for universities ain't coming forth.

By the way,

- What did you study?

- Do you av any work experience or training certificate in I.T.?

- Do you av a 2.1?

Finally, I heard u must send your new admission letter to IRCC once you are changing to another DLI (School) - UNCONFIRMED,

I will suggest you let the gurus guide you on this

Thanks so much
I studied petroleum engineering and have a 2.1
I have working experience in the oil and gas sector. I just want to choose a course that’s diverse.

Please will I still get admission from a school for the fall term at this time

Thank you very much sir, I'll do as you have advised.
JustMellow:

Hello Mhegar,

From what I understand from your post, if you still need the scholarship to study abroad, you have to request or notify the issuing body for its availability.

On whether you can get the scholarship back after a long duration boils to the policy of the issuing body. The best way to find out is by reaching out to the body.

If this scholarship isn't from a notable body that can easily pass any means of verification process, it is best for you to request the funds to be liquidated and make available to you otherwise, get another POF to support it.

Best of Luck

You are welcome

There is no problem in doing a diverse program, the problem now is the Admission Committee of these schools accepting you for an I.T program. Based on your transcript, an academic background mismatch will be discovered which will make you ineligible for an I.T program.

Chemical Engineering will still be your best shot & its more diverse than Petroleum Engineering, and there are touches of I.T components in Chemical Engineering e.g Using Software modeling tools for simulation, Optimization etc.

You getting Admission at this time is 50/50, you av to visit the Website of the program in that school to know if they are still accepting application for Fall 2021

See the link below for

Masters in Chemical Engineering Programs (over 25 Programs)
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemical+Engineering&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

Take your time & google them one after the other, check their Admission Requirements, tuition for international students etc., am sure u gonna see programs that are still accepting students for fall 2021.

If you are still interested in an I.T program, you are likely to get admission for a PG. Cert in I.T related programs, but for Masters in I.T. related programs, your chances to get admission is very low.

Hello Gurus,
Good morning, I am new here although I have taken my time to read through some pages and I can see that this forum is rich.
I need advise from any of the gurus here before I start my application, just want to be sure I am doing the right thing starting form admission application.
I studied Industrial Chemistry in one of our universities here, graduated with 2:2, accordingly to my research here I can see that going for masters may not be feasible, on the other hand I have a 3years experience working as a Customer Support Officer. Please gurus in the house if you are in my shoes what course would you go for? bearing in mind that I have to show career progression in my visa application.
I thought of applying for chemical engineering (bsc) using my sop to explain tot he VO why I would still love to take bsc even though i already have a bsc certificate because I can't find any pgd course related to industrial chemistry. Secondly I also thought of applying for a course related to the work experience but I can't really find any course related to Customer service as well. Somebody should please help me as I am at a crossroad, what is the best decision to take please?

You should get a PGD/PGC course that is related to your work experience.
Another Bsc won't fly, i am guessing you're past 20, so you're considered to be a matured applicant.
If you must take a course related to your ICH, then its must be a PGD/PGC and you must have tangible points to explain your 3 years as a customer support officer

Based on your academic profile & work profile, you can either go for a a PG program related to your Industrial Chemistry degree or your work experience (Customer service).

Note that, there is zero progression going for another B.SC since you alrdy a B.SC holder, it's a big time red flag

There are PG. Courses related to your degree

See the link below for
PG in Industrial Chemistry related Courses, then do a google search on them
