Correct, you don't also need government for nothing there! Just register your company with CAC and CBN

Good one, but my only challenge with Flutterwave is that their Naira to dollar exchange rate is too high, they charge 498 to a dollar to pay while Nigerian banks charge around 440-455.

this is good. it shows they pay all fees requested by the nigerian banking system.

Good news. Our govt on other hand always trying to frustrate the poor effort. Imagine Me I have being mining cryptocurrency with cryptotap. Just to withdraw, no way , luno has removed withdrawal option because of the useless policy.

Please, guys.. I need to withdraw about 5000 US dollars from Western Union, the wema bank I went to says they don't have up to that amount.

Anyother way of getting the money out please
Re: International Funds Transfer: Flutterwave Teams Up With PayPal by mywells: 10:29am On Mar 16, 2021
Goel:

Use Western Union or direct net banking.

UPI is even faster and safer way but I'm not sure if it's available for non-Indian people.
thanks

Boss, you are not getting my point, for you to operate as a fintech, you must also register with CBN aside CAC, because you operate with the banks, that is why you need the CBN license
Re: International Funds Transfer: Flutterwave Teams Up With PayPal by Ekehwinz: 10:42am On Mar 16, 2021
Can one now withdraw directly to his naira account with it?
Re: International Funds Transfer: Flutterwave Teams Up With PayPal by bluefilm: 10:44am On Mar 16, 2021
This is good news.

I hope that means boys can now receive PayPal payments without having to sign up for Lesotho PayPal?

Before you know it now, PayPal will even buy the Flutterwave sef.

Make I go activate my Flutterwave account sharperly.

I understand you, but as long as you are working through the banks cbn can wake up and say due to the rise of fraud all fintech operators under the Nigeria cyber space are to behave in a certain way.

Fintech are still under the regulations of cbn, this is why most of them that were offering Bitcoin payment processing stopped.

Fintech is just a 3rd party to a bank, they don't work in isolation.

The customer credit card or debit is taken from the bank sent through them to another bank

So if cbn holds the banks it is also holding their 3rd parties

I won't be surprised but I don't see it being possible because unlike oil companies who do same, the north lacks the talent. There are talents for oil companies in Uniuyo, Uniport, FUTO etc to recruit from and who are eager to go through the tough recruitment processes. However, very few northerners have the grit to pass through merit based recruitment processes.

All this one na story.. Can we now do international transfer of funds to nigerian bank accounts again? Cuz i am tired of going to the bank and waiting for Western union or worldremit to load on system.. I miss using transferwise and receiving alert on my phone from a whole different country damn
But you sabi sey if dem hand you the hard currency you go get better exchange rate for bdc than wetin bank go give you if the money was paid directly into your bank account.

I prefer the new cbn policy

The only sector working in Nigeria is the Private Tech sector because it doesn't need a quota almajiri to approve certain things or dictate the majority of outcome

My fear is they shouldn't see this amount of progress now and be looking for how to also give the intellectually bankrupt northerners a "supposed level playing field" with their stupid policies.

Nice one from Flutterwave.

However, despite being a Nigerian start-up company, am surprised and disappointed to see their headquarters is now located in the US

Does that means Lagos cant host the headquarter or what?

May this one stay for us, before any foreign company buy off this one, we need another fintech that will be following flutterwave bomber to bomber.
