Jman24:I have asked this question to almost every igbo restructuring agitator, once u ask them they start beating around the bush... I ask u this right now what does south east want to restructure u can't still answer. If you must know the only thing keeping south east in Nigeria is not resources or anything, it's just the fact that we the true Nigerians know other regions are seating back watching u fool around once the east goes west will want to go too. Apart from that, if not for that reason Nigeria would have let u hv ur BIAFRA |

This whole Aburi thing is a very simple thing to understand, for those who want to understand. There was a coup, counter-coup, pogrom and strife. Gowon and Ojukwu, met in Aburi, Ghana, to find a way foward. Ojukwu proposed a number of measures that would create a loose federation(confederation). Gowon accepted and signed the agreement. When they returned to Nigeria, Gowon and his Northern cohorts realised that the agreement would deprive them of what they wanted the most, the political and economic control of Nigeria. So Gowon started undermining the agreement and culminated in Gowon enacting Decree 14 of 1967, which dissolved all 4 Regions, created 12 states, took away resource control and removed fiscal federalism. It was the worst Decree in the history of Nigeria. With the Aburi agreement completely thrashed, Ojukwu had only two choices, accept Nigeria according to the dictates of the North or fight for freedom Ojukwu did what any Igbo man with any sense of dignity would do. He refused that neither him nor his people would become willing slaves of the North, declared Biafra and fought for freedom for 3 years It did not work out but but nobody can blame Ojukwu for trying. Aburi was the last hope of Nigeria, when it failed, Nigeria failed, courtesy of Gowon and his Northern cohorts |

Jman24:Till today nobody can answer this question. What do u want to restructure in the east. The way it's beginning to clear in your eyes that restructuring is not the problem of the east, is the way it would clear in your eyes when you find out BIAFRA cant stand on its own |

Jones4190:so according to u if u want to rape ur mother and i didnt allow u and later i came and said let me rape ur mother....instead of just saying no....u prefer to call ur gate man to do the rape ....cos u are angry i didnt let u rape her at first. this seem logical to u that Isaac and Ken couldnt use that same time to redeclare niger delta republic since they had their reasons to declear at first so what changed that they now thought it was best to put the niger delta with nigeria to spite ojukwu u see how dumb our niger delta leaders can be and how dumb of u to justify what they did to their people just because they are angry |

gidgiddy:Go and read Philips Asiodu's interview, Gowon already gave Ojukwu 97% concessions. Asiodu said based on that concessions, Nigeria would have ended after three months, so what else did Ojukwu wanted?. Asiodu said while Gowon was busy try work things out, "Ojukwu already had men preparing for war behind the scene " Ojukwu's ego got the.best of him, he boasted that " no army in Army in Africa can defeat Biafran army ", and started a needless war. Read Philips Asiodu's interview. |

Coldie:They ended up producing emaciated children with kwashiokor because a certain yorrooba bastard who was content serving under a man 10 times younger than him decided it was expedient to devise a wicked policy of outright starvation just to end the war quickly. |

7lives:What Asiodu never told you, or the rest of Nigeria, is that Gowon took back that "97%" on the 27th of May 1967 when he enacted Decree 14 which dissolved all 4 Regions, replaced them with 12 states, took away resource control and fiscal federalism. That was the final straw that broke the camels back and made Ojukwu to declare Biafra three days later |
