Boro didn't include current Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Igbo speaking part of Rivers State. He declared independence for the ijaw oil producing areas of Eastern region then. You said some truth but missed some things. First, Adaka Boro was educated and empowered by Igbos, he studied in UNN. Igbo leaders sited most of the current visible federal projects in Niger Delta. They made sure Eastern Nigeria then had two headquarters to help Niger Delta region develop like Southeast region. One at Enugu and another in PH. Adaka Boro was agitating for Ijaw Nation not Niger Delta as in today Southsouth. Also, Igbos despise Aguiyi Ironsi and Nnamdi Azikiwe and were never in support of all they did as national leaders. Generalization is killing our desire to get together and do meaningful things. When you say 'this is the truth Igbos hate to hear', you are painting everyone with the same brush. Every homogenous community has internal conflicts. There are always good and bad. Among the Yorubas, Hausas , Fulanis and every where else. I am proudly Igbo, and I am objective. Many years ago when I read this story from the annals of history, I was objective about it. How dare you say 'this is the truth Igbos hate to hear'. The truth stands anywhere, any time for all time. In your mind, you think you cannot find objective Igbos? Even if you get Niger Delta Republic today, you will still have internal conflicts. If the Yorubas get Oduduwa today, there will still be internal conflict, even among the Hausas and Fulanis, among the Germans and English/Irish/Welsh/Scots...its everywhere!!!
Make your comments objectively, do NOT generalize. You will miss many beautiful opportunities when you do so. Yorubas are this, Hausas are that, Igbos are the other thing, Ijaws are this, all rubbish. Look closely and you will find the right people in every place.
