Jones4190:Supposing all these are true, we the present generation did not participate in that decision. So address your frustrations to Aguiyi Ironsi , whoever he is. He is the one responsible for your agonies, not us. This generation wants real freedom. |

Jones4190:Some part of your history lesson is distorted sir. There has been massive killing of the igbos even before Ironsi became president. Zik escaped the coup that kill Balawa, he was privileged enough to get an exclusive info and escaped. Do your research sir, Ojukwu and Zik were never in good terms till his death. And mind you, what happened in 1966 was a revolution and not even a coup. In Revolutions, any body (tribe) can carry it out. And as you know, igbos were the most prominent people in the realm of affairs then thus, they were in the best position to carry out such a sensitive event. The only relationship Zik and Ojukwu had was when Ojukwu's father was still alive; it was a mutual relationship, but politically, they have always been rivals. So don't make look like an igbo thing. Igbos have always been the target from inception, research about the numerous riots in the north even before independence, 1943, and 1945 especially. Did the igbos cause that too? Ojukwu's war idea was as a result of cumulative anger, anger that came from the reoccurring killings of the igbo people. |

Jones4190:Concocted lies from a Fulani supporter of APC to deceive some naive Niger deltans! I know this is a direct weak response of recent Asari Dokubo declaring an independent country for Niger Delta. Why are you so afraid to have your own country without the Igbos?! Just sit in that hole you call house to concoct lies and nonsense! Mind you, Igbos can stand on their own! Niger deltans can also have their separate country. An average Niger deltans know that the Fulanis are evil and the sole problem of this country! They have eyes and mind and have clearly seen what is going on today!!!! |

Jones4190:You're quite on point! I was about asking when Nnamdi Kanu will post an old newspaper report about what truly transpired in 1966 where greed by soldiers 95% from a particular tribe led to the first bloody coup in Nigeria. The beneficiary of that coup, by now we all know, actually used his kinsmen to execute this revolt while hiding behind the scenes. By the time the bloodletting was over, they claimed to have rounded off the officers/soldiers who targeted the erstwhile leaders of the nascent nation from other major tribes for execution and never took any action to truly prosecute them with a view to getting them sentenced. We must remember these bunch of greedy soldiers spared the premier and others who formed part of the previous government that are from their own tribe, both in their region and all over the country.. The rest today is history and the facts are still there for everyone, especially those who still doesn't know the real root cause of the civil war. Reminescing, the first coup by this particular tribe was indeed needless as they had the most senior and respected army officer in the nation's military from their region before and after independence. They lied and went about subtle ethnic cleansing under the guise of cleaning up the corrupt government of Balewa. And when the counter-coup happened, the right hand man took another wrong decision of declaring a new nation to the detriment of the survival of his people. He ran away when his people needed him most. Still amazing how some people hate facing the truth but will rather hang on to a cause that is nothing but propaganda founded on greed and lies. |

Jones4190:This your epistle is nothing but a personal fiction to justify the polgrom or rightly put genocide carried out against over 3 million innocent Igbos for what they knew nothing about. The Niger Delta you are talking about was nonexistent then as it is now. Then there was no Igbo identity crisis in Ikwerreland and all the Igbo speaking areas of Nigeria. Isaac Boro was from a minority ethnic group who had and will always have rights to self determination. |

Abagworo:Before Biafra, there was the agitation of Niger Delta Republic. Before Ojukwu and Nnamdi Kanu, there was an Isaac Adaka Boro. Before the 1967 war, there was the 12 Days Revolution. If things were left to play as planned by Boro, today, Nnamdi Kanu wouldn't have been struggling to achieve Biafra as he would have been born to meet Biafra flourishing guy |
