KennethIbe59:
Thanks Boss please explain well
Many things could be involved. She might have regrets from the act, or felt it wasn't worth it, or maybe you didn't match her expectations, or she is playing games to force you into a more established commitment after the act. There could be over a hundred reasons she avoided your calls, so best to let her be until she comes around herself.

No need to worry yourself over another person’s opinion. Did you enjoy yourself? Was the experience worth it? That's the most important thing for you: how you feel! If you want a more established relationship with her, then give her a few more days, and call back (or chat her up). Just talk casually at first, jokes, how are you, and the like. Then afterwards, you can bring up the elephant in the room, and you two discuss your next steps like adults – like, should you all date, keep it FWB, open up about the relationship to your senior man (and his wife), etc. But if she keeps avoiding you, just lock up and move on like it never happened. Even if you run into her in person while visiting your Senior Man, just lock up and withdraw your familiarity with her.

So for now, give her space, chill, and let her decide your next move.

You have done well in your argument.
But just to let you know, customers deposit is NOT an asset to a bank. Rather, it's a liability.
Loans are assets.
Thanks for the correction. You're right, I made a mistake, customer deposits are term as liability since it's not the Bank's money.

That means if you bought 100k shares at about 7million, you’ll be earning #125,000 as dividend, this is still very small.
No, a 7 Million investment should give you over #500K as total dividend (if you add the two dividends: Interim and Final in a Financial Year). It can easily be more, like #600-700K too and the good part is that for the past decade, Zenith bank has maintained higher dividends each year, so your dividend payments is likely to increase with time.

P.S: this is not a financial advice though.

Educate your self more use the Web zenith is worth $16 billion
I'm free tonight, so let me just try to educate you better, since you're invested in this argument. A company's worth is based on its Market Cap, and from your own post (the image), you can see that Zenith Bank's Market Cap is #2.81 Trillion, which equates to $2 Billion.

Meanwhile, every company owns Assets and Liabilities. Zenith Bank might have Assets (value of what they own, which includes loans given out, property and building, deposits with CBN etc) valued at $16 Billion, but they also have Liabilities (value of what they owe others like Customers' deposits, loan taken, etc) at $14 Billion or more. So just only the Assets don't equate to the value of a company, cos you have to take out the Liability to get the true value (Equity value). You can read more on this to understand better.

Jim ovia networth is $980 million is the owner of zenith bank he as the highest share .use the Internet no need to argue
There is a reason why Jim Ovia has never made the Forbes Billionaire list. The bulk of his verifiable wealth lies in his shareholding in Zenith Bank (12.4% of the bank, which is worth around $250M as of today). He has other assets, but it's unlikely they will be worth anything close to his Zenith Bank wealth. So overall, he is unlikely to be worth up to $500M. This is how networth is accurately verified for public info. Read the last sentence from my previous post again and try to educate yourself better, bro, instead of relying on fake info from online blogs. My last exchange with you✌🏽

She is one of the richest banker in nigeria
Not even her boss Jim Ovia is worth that $550 million😂. Make una Dey calm down with the capping tbh. FYI the entire Zenith Bank is worth just under $2 Billion. Jim Ovia owns roughly 12-13% which gives him a networth under $250 Million (his total networth can't be more than $300M).

Ada owns less than 0.5% of Zenith Bank so her networth will hardly exceed $20M as of today. Use facts instead of screenshot of false info from blogs to educate yourself better (just a harmless advice).

It above 70k even more than that na me know how much share I buy
Anyone can calculate your shareholding from the dividend screenshot you posted. You got #1125, which equates to #1250 (before the 10% Witholding Tax FG collects). At #1.25 per unit paid, it means you had exactly 1K units. Zenith share price is around #68 per unit so you must have bought around #70K for your total shareholding. It's basic maths my bro.

I bought share from zenith bank with alot of money the stupid Bank credit me 1k some days ago am going to sell the share and collect back my money next week . THERE SHARES AS NOT INCREASED NO GAIN IN BUYING ZENITH BANK SHARE I REGET
You bought only 1000 units of Zenith shares. Which should be for less than 70K. How is 70K a lot of money?😂

Also note, banks like Zenith pay dividends twice a year. This one (Interim Dividend) is like jara dividend which is usually smaller (they paid #1.25 per unit), while the final dividend, usually paid in May should be at least 4X of this figure (say #5 per unit).

Please help explain. I got way less than what i was expecting from Zenith. I own 5k units which should have translated to c.7k. Is dividend payment in batches? Thanks
5K units X 1.25 naira per unit X 90% = #5,625.
This is want you should be receiving for your 5K Zenith units not #7K. 10% Withholding Tax applies to dividends that’s why I multiplied it with 90%.

You are on point. I have always had this argument when people talk about hazard jobs.

Those high end jobs have fortified safety infrastructure and yet they say it's hazardous.

The ordinary okada riders and high way bus drivers jobs are more hazardous than even a pilot if you compare the rate of casualties between them.
It is also a skill-level issue. You can conveniently replace 100K Okada Riders across Nigeria within a day, but can you replace 100 Pilots within same time frame? Top jobs attract top talents (the first-class, best of the 2:1s after rigorous employment screening process), so it is understandable that their pay range falls in the top-tier. Same thing is applicable in every other Nation/Economy.

Not long ago Boeing Employees went on strike and shut down the company's operation for a better pay package. What was the final resolution? Did Boeing sack the staff? This is why I believe this Dangote Refinery issue could have been handled better. The final resolution isn't a “WIN” to Nigeria in my opinion. My final take on this topic.

Did they not know the salary before joining?
A lot of fresh graduates will jump on any decent first offer they can get. Dangote Refinery carried out a fairly large-scale recruitment in 2023–2024 and attracted some of Nigeria’s top talent, including many first-class engineering graduates. So I’d imagine that 1–2 years into the job, some of those guys might start regretting their choices, and want a better pay package, especially when they compare their salaries with their lucky peers who joined proper oil and gas companies. I’ve heard that some indigenous firms like Aradel or Seplat pay around 5–8 times of Dangote Refinery (at least at entry-level, with added benefits too). So the PENGASSAN unionism might have been their solution to negotiate a better pay package, though I am not necessarily supporting their choices.

The main objective of my earlier post wasn’t to fault Dangote, it was just back up the ₦400K salary someone first mentioned.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Potvalor:

If this is for senior staff (PENGASSAN members),
Then it's more than ridiculous.

$260 gross.

So after pension and taxes, take home will then be $200??

That's why I will wake up at 5am every dayhuh grin

After 5 years of Laplace?
Yes, I can also confirm this. Entry-level engineers at Dangote Refinery earned around ₦400K gross per month. Some had no staff bus privileges or other perks either. I know an entry-level mechanical engineer working there who tried to switch to a top FMCG multinational earlier this year because of the poor welfare conditions. That’s why I can’t put all the blame on the 800 9ja staff for joining PENGASSAN because they really should’ve been paid more and offered a better welfare package (at least to match the Industry and Company’s status).

As for the five-year salary severance package, that’s mostly just a rumor. And even at that, the claim was that it’d be paid monthly, not as a lump sum, possibly with a clause to stop payment once they secure another job before the period ends. So let’s take it easy with the assumptions brother grin.

I honestly don’t put much weight on all these EPS figures for banks and financial services, especially when it comes to unaudited results. For banks, dividends are my primary valuation method. Unless there is clear evidence that GTCO won’t pay up to ₦8 next year, I still see ₦112 as fair value.

From the current statement, I also noted that last year GTCO benefited from over ₦600 billion (if I’m not mistaken), most of which came from FX gains—something that hasn’t shown up as strongly this year. So, you’re free to drop the stock as much as you want; that only sets us up for a nice 40–60% gain. lipsrsealed
Streetinvestor2:
Did u factor the forex gain and the new OS
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying GT’s result is bad. Just implying that on face value, more people might see greater value in Zenith over GT at their current share prices. This opinion isn’t necessarily true though.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Potvalor: 12:49pm On Sep 23, 2025
ositadima1:
Why the uproar about GTCO’s interim dividend? The company already paid ₦7 earlier and has now added ₦1, making it ₦8 for 2025. This reaction is all sentiment. What if they had paid ₦6 earlier—still higher than Zenith Bank’s ₦4—and then ₦2 now? You would have been celebrating, even though the total remains the same ₦8. grin
It’s not just about the poor interim dividend. There was a massive drop in EPS and in comparison with Zenith’s Q2 results, GT might look overpriced so I suspect some sell-off from GT to key into Zenith. A company is only as good as its recent result, so it’s fair business then.

Her CSCS statement is showing the correct units but her in-house account with Morgan is showing 107,500. She has been able to sell down 5000 what's left is 102,500.
Then she can’t do anything with the 102,500 units reflecting in her Morgan in-inhouse account. It will just keep showing, thereby bloating her portfolio worth. Same thing happened to me with Lasaco Insurance (same Morgan) but the ticker was eventually deleted from my portfolio after awhile.

You mentioned being in ETI earlier. I currently have it on my watchlist. Based on their recent Q2 report, I think the current price range (#35-40) is good for entry, and it appears a better bet than other top banks (at least, in the short/mid-term as of today). Do you also share the same opinion or is it better to wait for FUGAZ Q2 results for better comparison? Any thoughts?

He was so mature with his game last season, but he has been shit this tournament.
He also had rash moments last season like the game vs Celta Vigo, and the PK vs Arsenal and a few more I can’t recollect for now. His aggression seems to make him make rash decisions. It’s too early to call, but if he doesn’t tame that part of him, I don’t see him ever becoming a Madrid regular.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Potvalor:
$1K over 30yrs >> $5m lump sum even factoring inflation (the average U.S inflation rate over the past 30yrs is 3%).

Anyone who understands Time Value of Money, Annuity and Compounding, already knows you can either convert all the $1K daily cashflow to today’s Present Value (e.g: due to Inflation rate, so $1K after 30yrs will be equivalent to $300ish today’s value), or to Future Value (after 30yrs). Then you compare the value to that of the lump sum for a fairer comparison.

It was funny reading God.x tackling Ibem.e despite being on the wrong side of the argument😂. Attached below is the ChatGPT answer to the question (4% inflation rate was used for the calculation though).
