PrincessAriel:
Hello everyone.

I tried making payments for my ECA evaluation with IQAS but no headway, decided to port to CES instead, albeit the international courier delivery is more expensive than IQAS.

1. Please is it possible to choose Canada as the courier destination for the hard copy of the evaluation (even though I'm here in Nigeria)? I have a friend there, it can be delivered to her address and she'd snap and send me the soft copy.
OR

2. I pay for both application fee and electronic copy (no courier of hard copy).

Is there any implication of not getting hard copy of evaluation?

Thank you in advance.

Cc: GraciousWords

I used Canadian address when I did my evaluation. There were no issues. My sister just sent the hard copy to me.
P/S I also got the soft copy too.

Please guys, I need help with the calculation of my job experience below:

Healthcare job 1 started on 8/3/22 and ended 19/1/23 (total of 930 hours) part time.

Healthcare job 2 started on 19/12/22 and ended 17/12/2023 (44 hours per week) full time.

Please seniors, does the above experience meet up with the one year continuous experience for ONIP.

I think you should put both, but it seems Job 2 will give you one year continuous experience.

Your work experience and ECA are two different things.
ECA acknowledges that your education in Nigeria is equal to that of canada
Work experience - you have to prove that the experience you are claiming is valid. For example; you say you have 3 years experience in HR, your reference letter should validate that claim.
I hope this helps.

Fayzdream:

I studied English Education (B.ed). I'm about to start CIPM exams. My work experience is in HR and I am applying under human resource professional. Do you think if I assess my bsc and cipm my work experience before dping CIPM will still be acknowledged? Or they would not count it for me due to my B.ed being unrelated to human resource?

Please how did you sort this out?

FarmGang:

Unfortunately for now, the NIN offices are still close. Do you have your NIN number? My own issue was that I had the NIN number but I didnt have the slip so it was easy for me.

It means there’s progress on your application. Your PR cometh soon...

What if you get a GU and nothing changes? What does that say/mean?

Hello everyone. Can anyone help confirm if VFS office in Lagos is opened? Specifically, are they processing passport transmission? They have been with my friend's approved passport for a while now.

Thanks.

Hello, I have a sibling with a Canadian PR who is working and living in the US (he has never lived in Canada). Please, what would be the best response to the question below?

Yes or No

I think this was answered earlier in the thread. Someone was banned for misrepresentation as his/her sibling was not in Canada.

To prove PR status, a utility bill ( Canadian address) or account statement with his/her PR card needs to be shown.

If you go thru the thread, you'll see that there are a few of us in the same boat.

My advice, keep busy. I'm 10 months and 4 day post AOR, still waiting. Also in Accra visa office.
As someone else said, we hope visas will be released after the lockdown/Stay at home period.

Thonnydon:
Good evening people,

My application for PR was submitted on 26th of July, 2019 and the estimated completion date is 26th of January, 2020.

I have filled the web form on the site and they replied that my file is located at the Canadian visa office in Accra, Ghana. I have sent a mail to the visa office in Ghana and did not get a response from them.

I'm worried about my application as it looks to be dormant without any update on it. I will appreciate any information that can be of help as the wait is becoming frustrating.

Hello house,
Sorry please,. I'm quite a newbie to all these stuff. However, I'm ready to flow with the game. Now, my first port of question is on the WES ECA. Can someone please signpost me to any link here on NL detailing the step by step guide, or kindly summarise the steps here. I have gone way back to page one of this thread without seeing much information on the steps, I have also visited their website, and it's asking me to create a profile, and indicate recipient address.

Who's the recipient? *you are the recipient

* Am I to include my address, so that I can have a copy?
Yes please. That's where they send the hard copy to. .

Again, is it advised to start WES/ECA and IELTS same time or which one should one take on first?
You can handle them concurrently. But start with WES, then register and start preparation for IELTS..

That's how I did mine..The website is pretty detailed on the various steps to take. (Register and create a profile on the WES website)

Thanks
