AreaFada2: The guy is gentle and never did rofo rofo to get into any position. Sadly you must be ready to use thugs, kill and maim (or have many such people behind you) to reach high public offices in Nigeria.
That's reason decent people choose to remain technocrats and leave politics to agbero and ruffians. Do we younger generation need a change? If we do we can do the ground work... |

AreaFada2: He served as Agric minister under GEJ. That's unforgivable in current ethnoreligious Nigerian politics. Never mind that agric boomed, even diaspora people invested in 9ja agric and fertilizer electronic wallet to cut off middle men came then. Check threads I started on piggery and palm nuts at that time. Not to mention poultry that I invested in.
I quit when Buhari came to power and people's purchasing power reduced in addition to increase in prices of chicken feed. Nigeria is not yet serious to get better. Let fossils be ruling them. Can we start working on getting this man to the presidency? |

COVID-19 crisis: Ramaphosa, Johnson-Sirleaf commend AfDB President, Adesina’s ‘bold steps’
The President of the African Development Bank, AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina, has been commended for his visionary leadership and bold initiatives to accelerate Africa’s development and to support the continent through the COVID-19 crisis.
The commendation was given by South Africa’s President and African Union Chairman, Cyril Ramaphosa, and the Nobel peace laureate and former Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
President Ramaphosa expressed appreciation for the Bank’s commitment of $26 million for the African Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, its support in the procurement of critical medical supplies in Africa, and the financial instruments the Bank has provided to assist member countries through the pandemic.
Recall that AfDB recently launched a $3 billion “Fight COVID-19” social bond, with bids exceeding $4.6 billion.
It is the largest dollar-denominated social bond ever launched in international capital markets and the largest US dollar benchmark ever issued by the Bank.
The Bank also launched a $10 billion Crisis Response Facility to support Africa and to address the pandemic.
Through these initiatives, AfDB is poised to deploy funds to provide African governments and the private sector with access to financing to reduce the economic and social impacts of COVID-19.
“I commend the AfDB for taking these bold initiatives and for the role played by the AfDB under your leadership during this challenging period,” President Ramaphosa, also the current chair of the African Union, said in a written message to Dr. Adesina.
Echoing President Ramaphosa’s statement, President Sirleaf said: “The leaders of Africa, and I dare say the world, have recognised the important changes that you have made in the Bank – reorganisation of management and restructuring of Bank operations around the High 5s that represent a response to Africa’s more critical development needs".
Acknowledging the Bank’s highest ever capital replenishment last year, Sirleaf added: “Take heart, dear President, knowing that Africa respects your intellect and commitment and is pleased that through your leadership our premier institution has received worldwide acknowledgment and recognition for high-quality performance and impacting results.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2020/05/covid-19-african-leaders-commend-afdb-president-adesinas-bold-steps/amp/

Car Talk › Re: My Bad Experience With Autologic by Praxtech: 10:32pm On May 05, 2020 |
obamma: Towards the end of last year, I felt my car Camry 2007 was consuming more fuel than normal.
I came here and searched and found Autologic as the supposed solution.
I met up with him, he diagnosed my car ,did fuel pump test and found nothing.
The following day I was driving on third mainland bridge at night 11pm , my car for the first time since driving it for the past 4 years stopped at the middle of the bridge in thick of night.
Very strange, I quickly came out and looked under saw fuel gushing away. How manage?
Car couldn't start again and luckily I saw a towing truck that charged me 25k which I gladly paid and was towed to my house.
The next morning, I called my original mechanic and he came and immediately discovered that the pipe sending fuel to engine was not properly connected after fuel test by Autologic and so on high speed the pipe disconnected and fuel poured away which can easily set a car on fire.
Uptil today am still suffering the effects of Autologic diagnosis, that same day of diagnosis, the seal ontop my engine was leaking oil and his team bought another one for 5k more than double the normal amount which i just realized today because the same seal they replaced in December has leaked away all my mobil1 22k original oil.
My original mechanic came today to resolve the seal leak and when he brought it it out we saw that the seal was not properly fitted before tightening the cover by Autologic back in December last year. It was twisted somewhere and so oil leak continued.
Autologic also charged me 7,500 for seeing nothing after diagnosis which I paid.
I am only writing this as a very dissapointed and dissatisfied customer of Autologic.
And I advise others to always stick with a mechanic they know with credible track records and avoid internet self acclaimed mechanics like Autologic.
He who has ears let him hear. Thank God for his protection that you didn't lose your car or life. Did you find out why that happened from autologic? |

Eddee: My brother, if you put 5,800-5,900 fuel in that Corolla forget it. You can roam around town for nothing less than 460 - 470 kms with the occasional idling with AC on.
On the Charger 8,500-8,700 fuel will give you 340-350km city driving tops. And negligible idling, I no dey idle at all. Immediately I stop, I don off ignition. Be careful or you may start appreciating tricycle keke Marwa! |
