After a grand farewell for Peter, his body has been taken to his hometown Khawzawl accompanied by close friends and relatives, as well as loyal football fans and authorities from Aizawl.
Following an injury resulting from a somersault during a match with Chanmari West FC, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC midfielder succumbed to his injury and breathed his last around 7 am this morning, the 19th of October, 2014.
The fateful match that kicked off at 2.45pm at AR Lammual, Aizawl was the 5th Round of Samsung 3:16 Plan Solution Mizoram Premier League Season 3. Chanmari West had been leading by a goal which Peter equalized in the 60th minute of the match. His celebratory somersault took a wrong turn when he fell headlong on the pitch. He immediately lost his mobility.
After initial First Aid by medical attendants on the pitch, he was removed to the Civil Hospital, the nearest hospital from the grounds. CT Scan reports showed that his spinal cord was heavily damaged by the fall. He gradually showed signs of improvement though paralyzed from neck downwards. He fought hard for life for four days and five nights at the hospital, but finally succumbed to his injury much to the bereavement of his family, friends and the numerous football fans following news reports on his condition.
The residents of Bethlehem Vengthlang bid farewell to their beloved hero with a grand reception of his body attended by a great number of people after which the mourning party moved to Aizawl Venglai where Peter currently resides. After a short farewell programme there, he was finally taken home to Khawzawl where vigil authorized by the YMA will be maintained the whole night. His funeral will be conducted tomorrow, Monday. Peter’s death has shocked and saddened many football fans not just in Mizoram, but across the country as well. The Indian Super League also gave a moment of Silence for Peter.
The story of this 23 year old player just in the prime of his life has touched the hearts of many people. The news that he had donated his eyes for the needy has further endeared people to him. 2015 Generation Google Scholarship to Study in USA or Canada

Applications are now open for the Generation Google Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada).
As part of the scholarship, current high school seniors who are entering their first year of university in 2015-2016 will be required to attend Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) in the summer of 2015. Current undergraduate or graduate students will be invited to attend the Google Scholars’ Retreat in the summer of 2015.
The Generation Google Scholarship award must be spent on tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for the recipient’s classes at their primary university. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full time students for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2014­-2015 academic year
