Four fake soldiers identified as John Izunwanne, 25, John Otu, 23, Richard Acha, 22, and Simon Anthony, 39, who were arrested at various times along Mile 2 road, Idi-Araba and Agege area in Lagos state, were paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni at the force headquarters in Ikeja yesterday October 29th.

When interrogated, one of the suspects, 39 year old Simon Anthony, said he decided to wear the military uniform to secure free transportation from his base in Adamawa to Lagos state
“I was dismissed in January 2014 for falling out from duty. I am from Adamawa state. I wanted to use the uniform to travel to Lagos because I had no transport money. But unfortunately, I was arrested by soldiers,” he told the Nation.
Also one of the arrested fake soldiers, John Izunwanne said he wore the uniform because he wanted to secure free transportation.
“I wanted to go and sign my army recruitment form at Ojo Barracks when I bought the uniform at the Mammy Market. However, on October 7, my friend had a court case and I was to appear in court as a witness. The court was in Agege and I did not have the transport fare to go, so, I decided to wear my uniform to save me the cost of transportation.”

Then I got to meet and speak to the President of Guyana - H.E David Granger, whose country is in a serious boarder dispute with Venezuela over a land, and Venezuela is threatening them with war. Can you believe the UN Sec General met the Presidents of Venezuela and Guyana both 3 days earlier, to talk peace. Then here I am at 13, talking peace also with one of the Presidents. Imagine that.
To all of you who are reading this, please, let the LORD lead and direct your life, please, and you would be really, really, really X100 times be amazed where HE would take you. Thank you all. God, give us all wisdom. I need it every single day. Amen

The attention of the Media Office of the Senate President has been drawn to media reports that the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, was allegedly attacked at the Eid Prayer Ground during the prayers to mark the Eid-el-Kabir in Ilorin.
The Senate President arrived at the venue this morning without any incident, prayed with other Muslim faithful, including the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness (HRH), Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ali Ahmad and a former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Alfa Belgore, among others.
Before the Senate President left the prayer ground, he spoke to reporters who had asked him about his message for Nigerians to mark the Eid-el-Kabir.
We want to say that nothing can be further from the truth as the Senate President was never attacked nor was there any attempt made on his life to warrant him being 'whisked away' as reported by a section of the media.
We however observe that there was a protest allegedly staged by local government employees over purported non-payment of salaries which hoodlums attempted to hijacked but this development was immediately curtailed by security agents.
Therefore, to say that the Senate President was attacked at the venue of the prayers is totally false and a figment of the imagination of those behind the story because the protest was never targeted at him, neither was any missile hurled at him.
The Kwara State Government has since issued a statement in which it stated that majority of the workers in the state have received their salaries and that those yet to receive theirs will do so on Monday as Thursday and Friday of this week are public holidays.

Advancing troops along Banki axis today afternoon cleared more terrorist camps and captured weapons, flags and improvised explosives (IEDs) making devices at Jangolori and Bulaburma villages.

The recovered items have confirmed earlier intelligence that the terrorists often used corrugated metal roofing sheets and bathroom slippers in making improvised explosive devices which affects troops advance.

In addition, it is quite clear that the campaign against the terrorists is yielding the desired result because they are fast running out of arms, ammunitions and other logistics.

The traditional rulers in the Mubi Emirate Council and its environs have been urged to cooperate and share information with the military to enable the fight against insurgency succeeds.
The theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Yusha’u Mahmood Abubakar, made the call yesterday when he paid a visit to the troops in the frontline in Adamawa State.
The visit also took the Commander to the Headquarters 75 Strategic Tactical Group of the Nigerian Air Force where he was briefed on the air operations.
The Commander later proceeded to the 28 Task Force Brigade, Mubi where he addressed the troops and presented the Chief of Army Staff’s goodwill message as well as commended the troops for the good work they are doing.
He also attended an interactive session organized by the Department of Civil-Military Affairs (DCMA) for the civil society groups where books and other learning materials were presented for distribution to all schools in the area.
General Abubakar also visited the troops at Gombi before returning to Yola where he met the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at their camp near Gibson Jalo Cantonment.
Addressing the camp’s staff, he urged them to be more dedicated and alert at all times.
The visit was to enable the Commander synergise the efforts of the troops as well as their performance in the frontline.

Nigerian woman during a transit from one location in London was molested by a fellow black man as she told the man to give her space to pass but due to some reasons known to the guy refuses to take off his leg off the way to allow her to pass. She found it insultive and then asked why the guy decided to do that because she see it as lack of respect. The woman then decided to use put the guys mother in her position when she received a punch on her mouth that resulted in her lips cutting and blood gushing out of her mouth. A guy named Quadri and alleged to be a cultist, was killed in the very early hours of today and dumped in front of Yaba College of Technology. He had multiple stab wounds from most likely a broken bottle. His killers also opened his stomach. The photos are extremely gory. I'm trying to get more details about what happened from my source. Yesterday unemployed graduates numbering up to 100 in Lagos, marched peacefully to the Government’s office in Alausa, Ikeja where they had gone to express their displeasure of no job to the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The National Leader of APC, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu was at the Maiduguri Government House today to condole with Gov. Kashim Shettima over the demise of his able, loyal and committed Deputy Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha.

The Asiwaju described the deceased as a very loyal, intelligent and hard working man and further state that the death of Zannah Mustapha is a great lost not only to Borno state but Nigeria in general.

Also, Gombe state Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo was in the state to condole the good people of Borno State and Gov. Kashim Shettima over the shocking dead of the Deputy Governor.

Earlier on, Kano State Deputy Governor Dr. Hafiz Abubakar also visited the state on a similar mission where he stated that he knew Zannah more than 11 years now and he stressed that since after his swearing-in as Deputy Governor of Kano State in May 2015, the deceased was a source of inspiration to him more particularly in his current office.

In his several remarks, Gov. Kashim Shettima described Late Zannah as the best Deputy any Governor any Governor can have and he further stated that he is very lucky to him as a Deputy.

"I am finding it difficult to reconcile myself that he is no more with us.

"I believe his lost is almost irreplaceable. Because he was everything that I am not. Apart from his absolute loyalty, dedication and his character is impeccable, He was complimenting me in all the ares of my shortcomings. I am in the quitter side and he was in the aggressive side. In terms temperament too, he was more buoyant, more of a Protestant sort of personality. While may call me as an introvert and he was an extrovert.
"Whenever you give Zannah any job to do, you should expect 100% result.

"He has been our permanent Amirul Hajj for the pass five years. And anytime he is in the Holy Land he use to remove his cap of the Deputy Governor and work like a laborer" said Gov. Shettima.

Others are delegation from the University of Maiduguri, Mallam Adamu Maina Waziri, Emir of Damaturu, the Immigration Service, the NYSC, the Ngala Stakeholders, the Izala Group, Youth Volunteer Group and many more.

Various prayers were held for the repose of the soul of the late Deputy Governor.
