Though this is coming late, I would like to commend Olumide for his assistance in the payment of my SEVIS fee. Despite the fact that I woke him up with my call, he was courteous. I was apprehensive of dealing with him because of a bad experience I had with a nairalander (Saibinc) but he put my fears to rest with his service. Thank you Olumide for your professional service. |

Good. Will be better if the station fill up the slots with more edifying programmes. Seems the more the adverts and programmes on christianity and proliferation of churches in Nigeria, the more corruption thrives in our society. Nigerians seem to justify their sins and wrongdoing with religion or calling on God's name. I am also a Christian but I believe that Christianity should not be merely by words but mainly by deeds and living a life worthy of emulation. |

thoniann: DEM STILL GET NORTH AND SOUTH FOR KADUNA AGAINYes. There is Kaduna North and Kaduna South. Christians/Southerners live in Kaduna South while the Northerners stay in Kaduna North. However, some Christians still live in Kaduna North. I lived in Kaduna North while serving. Guess the division arose after the Sharia Law violence. |
I continued to argue with him and he started shouting. By this time some corpers were already watching the unfolding scene but were careful not to come too close. They made signs to me and whispered that I should just obey him because he was a crazy man. They also offered to carry my other bag for me. Feeling very embarrassed, I carried my travelling bag while ensuring it did not touch my head and ran forward. The soldier (later learnt his name was Dagger) told me to stop and said 'you are an aje-butter abi, let me look at your face). Was glad it was already very dark cos he would not be able to recognize me afterwards. He told me to go. I got to the registration hall and saw the long queues and was confused. Fortunately, I called a former classmate already in Camp and she really put me through. Started registration. The Kit I was given was too big. I complained but as I noticed that the man in charge was getting annoyed and furthermore was dumb, I left. Finished registration some minutes before midnight. |
Was posted to Kaduna state. I planned to be in Camp by Friday (the last day) as I was in Abuja for my Call to Bar ceremony on Tuesday. I came back to Lagos and also went to my school for my Call-Up letter. However, I missed the morning flight and had to wait in the airport till evening as the next flight to KD was scheduled for about 4pm. We left around 5pm Got to KD around 6pm and took a cab to the camp. Got there some minutes past 7pm and was not even checked at the gate. I saw some corpers and I asked them where I was to register and they told me. On my way, I met a soldier (very crazy man) wearing a white T-shirt and camoflague trousers and he asked me if I was a corper and I replied in the affirmative. He then ordered me to carry my travelling bag on my head and start running to the Registration hall. I silently wondered if he was mad but politely told him I was alright with the way I was carrying it. He threatened to deal with me if I did not carry out his orders. |
What about FirstNation (former Bellview Airlines)? Any ideas or experiences with them? |

justwise: Ask/make your South African visa contributions here, i have seen increasing number of different threads about South African visa recently hence the need to dedicate one thread for South African visa issues.Hello, I have just been admitted for a Masters degree in UCT. I would like to know what I really need to present at the VFS office in order to apply for a Study Permit and what the financial implications may be.Though I have gone through the VFS website, I realise that there may be some requirement which may alo be necessary but may not be expressly stated there. Is the letter of admission from the school required because what I have is the offer letter sent by email to me by the Institution. If the letter of admission is sent to me via email, can it be used for this pupose. Thanks. |
Hi peeps, Abt 6wks ago, d University of Ibadan advertised both academic and non-academic job vacancies. Last wk was supposed to be the closure of d window of d opportunity to apply. Since the advert, it's been closed doors. Does anybody have any info on when the interview/test will come up (non-academic)? Or how it's like? Any useful & quick info will be appreciated. Thanks
You can check the university's website regularly but you would most likely be called for the test via SMS. Applied for a position (non-academic) which closed towards the end of November 2011 but was called for the test on March 1st 2012. Saw the result on the website about 2 weeks ago. Seems we will be called for the oral Interview via SMS too. All the best. Hope you are very good in English sha cos the questions may be from there like ours. |
