Politics / Re: Seven Critical Gas Development Projects In Nigeria(photos) by PresidentBuBu: 10:06am On Jun 16, 2021
Contrary to the opinion of most people, the South East is not as barren as it is portrayed to be, 4 of its 5 states have proven oil reserves and 3 of them have proven gas reserves and this is despite minimal efforts in oil and gas exploration in the region compared to efforts in the northern and SS parts of the country.
2 states are recognised out of 3 that are currently oil producing by the NDDC . They recieve tens of billions of naira from derivation yearly (a paltry 13%).
Oil production even though influenced by oil reserves is a measure of efforts and interest in producing oil and not a direct measure of oil largesse. Venezuela has the largest reserves of oil in the world but is nowhere near the output of S/Arabia and Russia.
With demand for oil gradually reducing worldwide and transfer to green energy sources of which Natural gas is approved, there is a need for us to channel efforts to producing and exporting More Gas.
The comparative advantage certain countries have will soon start to wither. Russia and Qatar know this and have pushed themselves to become the worlds largest gas producers building pipelines traversing Europe and Asia, tailoring gas supply to the Asian Tigers and European Giants.
Nigeria however has wasted the vast majority of its oil wealth on empowering kleptomaniac politicians and oil discovery in low potential areas just for the sake of politics and political control.

The South East and South West have proven oil reserves with minimal exploration or push for production while billions are wasted in Borno Kaduna and Benue troughs.
Now imagine if these billions of dollars were spent effectively on gas exploration, production, processing and export. The South especially the South East would be more empowered today.
Resources do not discriminate between ethnicity or clans, they exist where they exist, without your permission and justification, just because you're used to the idea that certain tribes have oil and gas reserves doesnt alienate others from having especially when these people are in close proximity to recognised resource rich areas.

Once more ill say, we shouldn't let bigotry prevent us from harnessing our potentials and maximising our use of resources.
The South East is Gas rich and probably the most endowed region in said natural resource, its not an insult, its a fact and we should push for fair equitable utilisation of their resources.

Though data access to statistical figures isn't fully available, I leave this argument with an infographic from DPR 2018.

Oil doesn't necessarily coexist with gas.
Southeast has the lowest oil production in the country?
They have 3 oil producing states more than anywhere else in the country excluding South South.
Oil production is determined by nnpc and private investors and doesn't really correlate to oil reserves.
Majority of oil reserves are offshore, so even though SS states claim them they belong to no one.
Imo state is one of the largest gas reserves site in Nigeria.Theyĺ have two gas production plants under construction by Shell and Selattyn with billions and I remember Sylva once mentioning an estimated 200trillion cubic feet of gas was in the state

Politics / What Is The Definition Of Hate Speech by PresidentBuBu: 7:22am On Sep 16, 2017
I am a typical nairalander, an igbo man and even though I am enjoying myself in the confines of Lagos, i do not seem safe at all.I might be 1000s of km away from my ancestral homeland but each picture, text I see of my people killed feels like a bullet ripping into me.
The thing that however annoys me the most is not the killings but those who seek to somehow enjoy them, or rather cheekishly justify them. The truth is we can all say nnamdi Keanu has participated in hate speech, nobody can deny that but is the solution or has the solution ever really been death or killing them, we live in a country where everyone makes General abusive comments towards tribes, to the point whereby it enters our daily conversations, and just because we sometimes brush it off as jokes does not mean it doesnt hurt or affect us.
But however nnamdi Kanu, hateful and ignorant as he is, ks not and has never been the first or even among the most prominent people in Nigeria to hate fully describe a tribe with nasty words and like it or not he won't be the last. The real and best way to treat hate speakers is suing them to a civil or criminal court to be tried or asking for an apology statement from them. The idea of killing people or their followers based on the principle of hate speech without any actual action afterwards is not just regrettable it is also barbaric. The sad and worst part is that even many nairalander among us complaining about this "hate speech", type far worse and inhumane things on daily basis and just because we might be unable to put a face to them, does not in a way absolve them of this fact. We should never support the killing of people because of political alliances, too much blood has already been spilled on this country, yet where has it taken us.
Sanusi once called the Yoruba the problems of Nigeria, Oba of Lagos once said he will drown and kill all igbos who didn't support his own political candidate. The army didn't roll out tanks to kill their people or supporters, Femi fan I kayode has called many ethnic groups within Nigeria unprintable names, so why now
I know irrespective of whatever I say, some close minded people will still call me terrorist or iPod youth. I am neither of the above and i don't give a damn about out some internet strangers opinion about me.
All I want to ask is what is your definition of hate speech or is it when it is targeted at you group or tribe, that it becomes a problem, if the KKK , the mother of all hate groups can protest in America. If trump himself can continuously condemn certain demographic in America without any military interventions or massacres, why should we allow this deaths happen. I would gladly support a legal arrest and free trial towards nnamdi Kanu based on any crimes or charges that can be proven towards him, but i would never support the killing of protesters and agitators. Dialogue is always the best option, a quiet obedient man is just as dangerous as a militant combatant. He is just looking for a course to fight for.

Politics / Biafran Terrorists In Onitsha? by PresidentBuBu: 3:14am On Dec 03, 2015
we've all heard stories about what happened in Onitsha as a result of the protest occuring there but some people due to some evil ulterior motives have decided to create chaos by inciting violence against the protesters and hopefully even reprisals but have they asked themselves what they stand to gain by all this.It is okay that they do not support Biafra many people do not but what do they gain however for calling for mass murder of protesters or igbos alike Must Nigeria be by force I am one of those igbos averse to Biafra because i stand a lot to lose as i have investments in other places but still that should not give me any right to demand for the death of protesters just because i am scared or even embarrassed Nigeria did not exist before igbos so i dont know the reason why we have to force Nigeria on anyone.

There have been however attempts by miscreants to damage the image of ipob and Biafra by labelling them as terrorists and this has to stop.It was the nigerian jtf that killed quiet and unarmed protesters not nnamdi kanu and whether you love it or not it is wrong and should be condemned. No life should be wasted except the person poses a genuine threat to the lives of others. What happened to the u e of tear gas or ribber bullets. Secondly ipob youths did not kill any corpse(funny enough the only thing we heard about him was that he was hausa how CONVENIENT.) and there is no proof of evidence that points to such lets stop making hasty generalisations like this just o paint them black.

This protest even though misguided at worst is very much needed because we need to send a message to our leaders to start treating us as citizens and not as animals because nobody has a monopoly of violence we have spent over fifty years as a country and keep running in circles.People are being killed in nigeria in a daily basis due toreligion and tribe and nothing comes out of it.

THE BIAFRAN PROTESTERS ARE NOT TERRORIST THEY HAVE NOT KILLED ANYONE NOR HAVE THEY THREATENED TO DO SO HOWEVER WE HAVE ETHNIC FULANI MILITIAS THAT HAVE KILLED THOUSANDS AND ARE NOT EVEN REGARDED AS TERRORISTS IN NIGERIA.

Politics / Re: Owerri Under Lockdown By Biafra Seccessionists!!! by PresidentBuBu: 11:03am On Nov 13, 2015
As an Igbo man i have always been divided on the Biafra issue. The reason is
simple, i had always found it a waste of time and simply thought it was the
product of jobless miscreants but soon i started to ask myself do we really act
like a united country.
Nigeria over the years has never really been a peaceful country there has
always been riots over many issues we've had the Niger delta struggle, the
Biafran struggle and even the Yorubas were agitated during the abiola crisis
and of course the many pointless pogroms. Does this look like a united
country to you. Look at newspapers everyday and check if you wont see nasty
tribalistic comments from the likes of ffk okupe igbokwe junaid mohammmed, i
mean people were scared Nigeria would burn or never be one again because of
something as simple as an election. You even leave your state and you don't
feel safe anywhere else. You hear politicians saying things like an Igbo man
would never rule Nigeria.
The Nigeria we are even agitating for is a failed state despite all the money it
controls. The funny thing is the only place really apart from the capital is
Lagos(not even a world standard city) yes the state where everything in
Nigeria happens from imports to even presidential primaries but guess what
half of it is in shambles and despite that it doesn't even make up to1% of
Nigerias landmass, we don't know our population. Our revenue is hidden so
corrupt leaders can loot politicians from the 60s some of whom who
committed genocide are still leading us ethnoreligious protests and deaths
happen on a daily basis, the economy is currently gasping for breadth and the
government is not even batting an eyelid, no standard universities built the
ones we are managing were built by the British or azikiwe and co.
If you think that's bad i want you to see it from an Igbo point of view no
federal presence since in 1967, no real say in thee production of the president
of your country because of over bloated voters register having to travel to
hostile states just or a thing as simple education just because the government
refuses to do anything for you, unaccepted and collectively hated in Nigerian
politics(lets face it majority of the hate for Jonathan really came form the
support we had for him). You are always the predominant victims in pogroms
that happen in other parts of the country and the government doesn't even
care(THIS CAUSED A CIVIL WAR PEOPLE)
and the most annoying thing is no matter how many times you complain
about it everyone tells you to shut up because everyone else is suffering and
smiling. Many of your people have to go to crime to cater for themselves and
everyone in your country sees you as untrustworthy and fraudulent. You have
to beg, cajole, promise to support, praise, remind the government for probably
the MOST IMPORTANT BRIDGE IN NIGERIA.
And then there is the promise of a Biafran a place where you can create your
own country with a constitution that caters to the need of of your people
rather than some selfish elements. A place where your votes are more likely to
count than it ever did in the "ONE NIGERIA". A place where you do not have to
reject your ethnicity to be noticed by the government. It might sound like a
grand illusion to most people but an illusion is always better than having to
face a horrible reality.
Then there is the Nigerian reaction to the Biafran struggle most serious
governments in the world world would take the agitation seriously i mean
bigger countries like the soviet union had been dissolve for far less reasons
but what do we hear ABSOLUTE SILENCE. Rather we hear statements from
politicians and citizens alike such as they are miscreants, they are
irrelevant,Igbo land is landlocked, they want Biafra, they want to die like
their parents , they are delusional. These comments like it or not will not stop
the agitation like it or not they would only serve as to further drive a wedge
between us all.
I believe in a Nigeria in which we will be internationally recognised as a first
world country where we can be proud to carry our passport anywhere in the
world where our children can compete with the best there is in the world.
Believe me this is the desire of every true Nigerian patriot everywhere but
guess what : we are not anew and young nation we are over fifty years in age
do you think it is possible when we let tribalism determine our leaders for us.
Every election i have seen potential wonderful leaders thrown away because
they are not rich enough or they don't belong to the biggest party, we are
currently recycling one of our former leaders, i ask then, when shall we the
youth get the real chance to rule our nation when shall we allow fresh leaders
with bright ideas the chance to govern our nation. Just imagine a situation
that Osinbajo was currently our president, the opposition would not even find
a chance to complain. Every serious prospering nation had to make sacrifices
to progress look at South Africa Germany Rwanda Brazil these are countries
that had to undergo a drastic revolution to finally progress.
Why not Nigeria? The answer is because we don't think with a united mind we
have a situation where some of our leaders would prefer to marginalise a
section than the upliftment of thiers and in that lies the real problem.
Mandela was once called a terrorist, Switzerland and Luxembourg are
landlocked nations and a seaport can even be created in the imo or azumini
river with a serious leader however all these things are just distractions for
now. It is not by killing or threatening to kill people if they disagree that you
will get their love. I was always skeptical about the Biafran agitation but
seeing recent events has made me more and more in love of the idea. I have a
lot to lose personally because all my property and life is in Lagos but that is
not a good enough reason why i should discourage my people from airing their
grievances if Nigeria really does love Igbos i should not be scared in the first
place. With vision we can create a new city even greater than Lagos.
I use to be a proponent of one Nigeria but things have changed.
Biafra is not just an agitation it is an idea that has lived through generations.
The mighty soviet union dissolved so also the Roman and ottoman empires.
No nation on the surface of the earth is permanent. Igbo people want a
country where they can leave in peace. We are not poor : Imo and abia state
produce up to $4billion dollars a year in oil sales alone that is more than even
some African countries. However it is time for Nigeria to start treating us and
all other citizens rightly, because like it or not these are just signs of a new
greater revolution on the rise and when it comes we will not be able to ignore
it.
So i saw give us good governance or give us Biafra.

count than it ever did in the "ONE NIGERIA".

Then there is the Nigerian reaction to the Biafran struggle most serious governments in the world world would take the agitation seriously i mean bigger countries like the soviet union had been dissolve for far less reasons but what do we hear ABSOLUTE SILENCE. Rather we hear statements from politicians and citizens alike such as they are miscreants, they are irrelevant,Igbo land is landlocked, they want Biafra, they want to die like their parents , they are delusional. These comments like it or not will not stop the agitation like it or not they would only serve as to further drive a wedge between us all.

I believe in a Nigeria in which we will be internationally recognised as a first world country where we can be proud to carry our passport anywhere in the world where our children can compete with the best there is in the world. Believe me this is the desire of every true Nigerian patriot everywhere but guess what : we are not anew and young nation we are over fifty years in age do you think it is possible when we let tribalism determine our leaders for us. Every election i have seen potential wonderful leaders thrown away because they are not rich enough or they don't belong to the biggest party, we are currently recycling one of our former leaders, i ask then, when shall we the youth get the real chance to rule our nation when shall we allow fresh leaders with bright ideas the chance to govern our nation. Just imagine a situation that Osinbajo was currently our president, the opposition would not even find a chance to complain. Every serious prospering nation had to make sacrifices to progress look at South Africa Germany Rwanda Brazil these are countries that had to undergo a drastic revolution to finally progress.
Why not Nigeria? The answer is because we don't think with a united mind we have a situation where some of our leaders would prefer to marginalise a section than the upliftment of thiers and in that lies the real problem.

Mandela was once called a terrorist, Switzerland and Luxembourg are landlocked nations and a seaport can even be created in the imo or azumini river with a serious leader however all these things are just distractions for now. It is not by killing or threatening to kill people if they disagree that you will get their love. I was always skeptical about the Biafran agitation but seeing recent events has made me more and more in love of the idea. I have a lot to lose personally because all my property and life is in Lagos but that is not a good enough reason why i should discourage my people from airing their grievances if Nigeria really does love Igbos i should not be scared in the first place.

Igbo people want a country where they can leave in peace. We are not poor : Imo and abia state produce up to $4billion dollars a year in oil sales alone that is more than even some African countries. However it is time for Nigeria to start treating us and all other citizens rightly, because like it or not these are just signs of a new greater revolution on the rise and when it comes we will not be able to ignore it.
So i saw give us good governance or give us Biafra.
