Well, first and foremost, you are meant to be a full member of ACCA. That's the whole point. Have you considered using your NysC as experience? If that's not possible, you have to wait till you arrive in Canada. The challenge with that is that the MRA is yet to be renewed for a defined term, eg 5 years, and therefore could be terminated anytime. So even folks like me that may not travel for another year are taking advantage.
On a different note, hope you are aware you would need to pay up all outstanding dues with ACCA before they would write to CGA about your current standing.

A major advantage for you is that you have your wes report so CPA does not have to evaluate your degree afresh. Just provide them with the Wes report. This part causes a lot of delays but you are definitely past that.

Ultimately, the earlier the better.

Hey team ACCA. I sent my transcripts and all documents to CPA-BC and I haven't heard from them. I have mailed and mailed and no response. A friend that did the conversion said it can be a long wait with silence so I intend to call them today to know what's up.

I am still an Affiliate of ACCA, passed exams in Aug 2015 so i have till Aug 2018 before I can become a full member ( 3 years).

Right now ACCA has delisted me as I didn't pay subscription this year. I intend paying next year to coincide with my full membership status.

My AOR is dec4, what do you advise I do? Should I wait till i land in canada before beginning the conversion process or can an afilliate status suffice?

Good morning all, I have 5 days left to submit.

Please is it compulsory I add pay slips to my application after getting ref letter in the approved format and including employment letter

It's only one ex company that didn't give me ref letter in the approved format like no salary, hours worked and job duties mentioned, so I used a colleague's with all these info and notarised it. I never had any payslips in all these companies. They are all one man businesses.

Secondly, one of my employment letter stated my position as admin assistant but I worked as an accountant. The work ref letter I got stated accountant as the position. Can this fly?

Cheapest driving lessons i have heard of in Calgary are circa $60/hr. In Nigeria you could probably get registered in driving school for N30-50k. So do the math. After learning then you can go for your frsc test and obtain your license. That's for those of us that took frsc tests back in the day when you'll be made to parallel park and drive through those drums they set as obstacles at awkward angles lol!
Anyway arriving Canada with a Nigerian drivers license would allow you drive for 90 days at first within that time you could read and practice for your road test and if you pass the basic class 5 test or its equivalent in other provinces then you become eligible for a class 5 gdl license which means you can drive but not between midnight and 5am and not with any level of alcohol in your system and not carry more passengers than the number of seat belts in your car.

It's even like 20k.....i will try and learn even if I can't get a driver's license. Thank you

To save cost, its adviceable you learn here in Naija and practice to perfection while at it. The cost of learning from scratch in Canada is relatively astronomical as compared to learning in Nigeria.

Even if I learn in naija here and don't have a naija license, would that be wise.

Please for someone that doesn't know how to drive, is it advisable to learn it here in nigeria or when landed in Canada.

Secondly, what's the difference btw these classes of licenses, does it mean the lower ones can't drive on some roads or what?

please don't sweat it, write the reference letter ,have your boss or supervisor sign it,notarize the document . lastly submit it alongside the bank statements for the period you worked. Case solved
