From the bible verse you will see that God said man will die if he ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and bad but did man die?
After man ate the fruit and the truth was revealed, God has no option but to comfirm that truth in verse 22.
God created man to live in ignorance, his purpose for man was never to live forever in the garden.
