Congratulations on your admissions package. I was denied admission into this school but different department sha. I would like to ask some few personal questions though. I sent u pm chrisdavinci: Hi, you guys are doing a great job. I have been following the discussions here for quite a while now. I was admitted to Texas A&M University-Kingsville to study Chemical Engineering(MSc), was given $8k+ scholarship. I made the necessary payments already and I have my I-20 with me. Filled the DS-160 as well as paid the visa application fee. School resumption is Aug 10 and I have plans to schedule and interview next month is that too early? Also, I just passed out from nysc and currently unemployed can that affect my visa approval? looking forward to your feedback guys. |

I experienced the online payment issue with them too, I have a guy there and he is complaining that the school is expensive and my application files are not yet reviewed. I just hope is not too late sha sirRiddy: Nigerians and bad records sha. One thing I experienced while applying there was that Nigeria was banned from paying the application fee from Nigeria. bigFrancis21 had to help me pay the fee and I still got a big fat reject. But I have seen a few Nigerians being accepted into the school. The school is in Alabama, so I am sure na Trump people go full there anyway. |

Thanks boss, I have some folks there, hopefully they can help. I was thinking if doing it alone before. imperiouxx: Yes, after filling in your household info, previous year tax return, submit and approved, your school will send you to a financial aid verification page where you attach any applicable document about your citizenship or immigration. |

Whao! Good to know there are some other loans available for Intl student. I will be glad to know about these loans and I will pm u boss but I don't mind if you can share on the thread too... I think I have ur email on my old moniker but we will relate thru any of the email boss. Thanks so much, am so oblige femi321: The number 1 question is.. are you a US citizen or you have green card? FAFSA is for citizens/green card holders. But there are other loans you can access as an international student but you need a green card holder to co-sign for you |

On my school site, I saw that non-Us citizen can benefit from this loan so I was curious an tried to follow up more but I got to a stage where I need to put in my SSN. Then it was done on me. Thanks for the contribution. I have some friends in there just not sure of thee credit rating sha. Thanks a bunch omoluabiguy: FAFSA itself is self explanatory. You either have to be a US citizen or someone who is a US citizen (with good credit score history) stands as a beneficiary/reference for you. There is no 2 ways about it. An international student with no US citizen referee is NOT eligible |

Good so student can actually search for GA(TA or RA) from other dept and one on one self, so not necessary it's from your department alone. Nice one! Analytics: There is no position available in that department. No matter the tons of email you send. You have to check other departments like you have dropped earlier. Secondly, try to arrive on campus early so you can search one on one. |

Well to my best if knowledge, I think fall is the best season to apply for admission due to the fact that schools intake during this season is far more than spring and funds are usually available in most of the school. Try and work towards fall. I also learnt that spring application are mostly for the extraordinary good student and provided the dept also have space to squeeze in one or two candidates more. Was a victim of spring denial sha. Best of luck Kendrix69: Hi, i am new here tried to read d pages here but headache wan kill me, anyways i just want to start this U.S admission processing Nd all, which season is best to apply for, September or January (i think). Appreciate ur advices.lol |

About the funding, I've learned from you. And I'm happy that such loan is available to help genuine students achieve their dreams.

The Embassy was so full 2day and white approval paper flying ard for students. fysapop: Visa Approved this morning.... Hi everyone, I want to thank those that continue to support the movement and purpose of this thread. My Visa interview was for 6:30am this morning, I was feeling uneasy all through the night, I woke up around 4am, left my house by 4:55am, I was driving like a snail I didnt even want any stories. I finally got to the embassy like 5:35am, I paid for parking, about 5 guys just rushed me and started telling to arrange my document staple this and that make copy of my passport page that the rules have changed, but as a product of this thread I didn't even answer them, I was the 4th person to be interviewed, it was barely up to 5 mins sef, see my transcript below;
VO; Good morning, how are you Me; Good morning Sir, I am fine VO; Pass me your passport and 1-20 Why are you going to the US Me; I am going to the University of Connecticut for Masters in Business Analytics as Big data is the new wave in Africa and I want to be one of the forerunners of understanding data mining and how Business can (I cant even remember what I said..lol) VO; oh Uconn, that’s great. Where do you work? Me; Senior Consultant atXXXX (International Company) VO; Oh that’s a great Company, hope you enjoyed your time working there? VO; oh really, they would never win that in the US, they are really tough u know ( I just knew my visa was approved from this point) ME; yes when some of them come to Nigeria, they always want to stay back. VO; how are you going to pay for your studies? Me; I got a loan from Prodigy finance and my brother is also sponsoring me VO; ok… I see you are a genuine student and I would be approving your visa. He returned my 1-20 and the collection ish Me; Thank you Sir.
The three guys that went before me were still talking to the VO. I just started singing praises all the way to my car, people were just congratulating because it was soo obvious I just got my visa approved. |

Yea bro, Now i think I can remember your moniker vividly and i related with you then on this issue with my old moniker(ganiyuadeoye). Am happy for you now that you have another admission, i think you gonna hit this once and Bliv me twood cannot even remember you are the same guy, he was just giving is usual candid but blunt advice. Let just try to tolerate each other...... Once again best of luck and I will watching out for your successful transcript story. best of luck man Awesu122: Thanks for your candid advise bro I really appreciate this , I have written a standardized test GRE to be precise where I scored a higher mark I posted it on this forum and the Twood guy was the first to ask me how I came about the score because t was very high, like he knows my ability, moreover concerning me applying 4 times I wrote the school and explained to them am having VIsA issue but they encouraged me to keep trying since it wasn't resumption time yet , don't know how to explain it anyway wish you would understand , back to basics I have gotten another admission now and was here to seek people's advice again , so that I don't make past mistake , this same Twood or Tboss was that on my mention spewing thrsh again , fact remain is not about being desperate , I just have to do what I have to do because so many oppourtunitues lies ahead immediately am done with the MBA , which I can't start to explain on this forum Thanks for your concern anyway |

Oga Awesu122, Calm down the guy really pointed out the fact and truth in your application so far... I found it funny when u said u realize early enough after 4 application with this same school(CALUMS) and you were told by the VO that the school is not a standard one. If you ain't desperate as you claim you should have taking a sip of some MIlo and relax a bit man..... keep improving yourself and keep track of your application and take it one step at a time (like write standard test and everything b4 making another atempt).... Don't attack Twood base on some of his past reply and I think he told you the blantant true....Please don't come after me, am not good in exchanging words. Best of luck CIAO Awesu122: yes Tboss abi Twood is your name I have never and would never welcome your opinion here so anytime you you see my mention here just do me a favour move as quick as possible ok? I know you are a perfect man who is above mistake, arrogant and proud human being |

I have been following your tail and I can see you are a genuine student, No one is above mistake and I can see you are ready to face the tune yourself. All I have to advise is that fill you application form(DS 160) yourself and be truthful in all ramification. Afterwards go and collect your visa man. Best of luck DimmyCho: Thanksnfor your response.. the 2012 app the agent did then wasn't cool, to be honest .cos he filled that I was working on a coy,which wasn't true. That's the only false info there. Just looking for a way to make things right . But the app of 2015 and 2016dec(more than a year now) was to attend my brother's wedding. I did applied after my mom was granted. I believe people make mistakes and there should be rooms for atonement. Pls, what can I really do? Cos I'm going to study for real. Just like a friend who was caught for fake Dubai visa 2013, he apppied every 6months but was later granted Dec 2015. His story made me know that anyone can be grant and past forgiven if he/she has good intension. I'm saying all this cos I need a way out,thayz why I came to the house ... Abeg,make una help.. Note: no docs was asked then. God bless you |

So guys, wat u are simply saying is that the SOA sent to the school will be use in preparing your i20 and i20 will indicate your sponsor which should be consistent with the SOA to be taken for Visa interview. Great job Gurus. LagosismyHome: You have to be consistent....so its either go back to the school.and change the i20 or you go as your dad as the sponsor |
