Good morning bosses..
A friend needs an Arduino kit.
Ia hub360 currently open and offering pay on delivery service?
Are there other distributors for the Arduino kit that would offers pay on delivery service...Highly needed
Why must it be pay on delivery? You can only get pay on delivery service if the seller will deliver it to your doorstep in person and collect his money before handing the item over to you.

Sir, this is off your topic but I wanted to inquire if you have an Arduino kit for sale and If you offer pay on delivery service. ( I reside in Aba Abia State) Thanks
I have Arduino kits but I don't do pay on delivery. You have to pay before I waybill the item to you through any closer transport company. It is either I send the waybill number or the drivers phone number to you.

This country is full of idiots. I've been seeing the clamour for the government to call off the lockdown, without putting into consideration how people are going to move around from one place to another.

Some fools even went as far as protesting, burning tyres on the road. The lockdown has been the only reason why we haven't had exponential cases of COVID-19 so far. That's all going to change starting next week.

El-rufai is the only sensible governor that has put in place proper measures to curtail the spread by extending the lockdown by 30days, and on the long run, everyone will see how it will pay off.
Who told you that we don't have exponential cases of COVID-19? Have you test up to 1% of Nigeria population? What do you think that is responsible to the deaths in Kano?

Phones / Hisense F50 5G Arrives With A New 5G Chipset by princejude(m): 1:11pm On Apr 16, 2020
Hisense may not be a household smartphone brand, but the company does know how to grab attention with things like 10,000mAh batteries and color e-Ink on phones. The latest model is interesting for another reason – it’s powered by a 5G chipset from a new vendor. You don’t hear that every day, even Intel was unable to keep up with the complexities of developing 5G hardware.
The Hisense F50 5G was teased on Weibo today and will be officially unveiled on April 20. This isn’t a premium phone, instead it’s part of the effort to make 5G affordable. The handset uses a pretty standard back-mounted fingerprint reader and a teardrop notch for the selfie cam.
The Unisoc T7510 chipset uses the Chun Teng V510 baseband that was developed in-house by the company Ziguang Zhan Rui. It was first demoed at MWC 2019 and supports sub-6GHz 5G with up to 100MHz of bandwidth.

The rest of the chipset uses off the shelf parts including an octa-core CPU – 4x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz and 4x A55 at 1.8GHz. They are joined by an Imagination PowerVR GM9446 GPU and a dual-core NPU (of unknown provenance). Local connectivity supported by the chipset includes Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.0.
As for the Hisense F50 5G itself, it will have a large 5,010mAh battery with 18W fast charging and “PC grade” cooling (whatever that means). The phone also packs a quad camera setup on the back, but there are no official details on the four modules yet. That and the price should be revealed on Monday.

The onboard Bluetooth comes handy in this case and since it is compatible with almost all BLE devices. The WiFi and Bluetooth can't be used at the same time except that people have started finding ways around it.

Arduino with Bluetooth module is quite bulky with too many wiring, library importation and codes.

I understand what you mean but remember the owner may be a beginner. He may get confused when introducing new advance boards

Esp32 can do better. You get everything on one board.
ESP32 is overkill. It is best for IoT based project not for a simple Bluetooth app communication. This project doesn't need internet access

I will need your guidance on this question.
I started a hone automation project where an app controls an led using arduino on Proteus using a Bluetooth module. I followed a YouTube video to copy the arduino code and connect the diagram. I used MIT app inventor to make the app. But the app is not connecting to my device. I get an error message 507 not connected. Is device on?

I want you to assist me with a course that will help me design other circuits as well as complete this one. So what should I do next. I am ready to buy the videos you send me because I am in kano state. Tell me what I need to learn, some projects I could design after the course, the cost and when you are ready to deliver.
I contacted someone on this but he is using covid saga to delay me. I want to use this period to do a project if possible

For the Bluetooth project, I will advice you to get an Arduino board and Bluetooth module because Proteus may fail. My original Arduino board is #3500 and Bluetooth module is #3000. If you buy the hardware from us, I will send a working Bluetooth - App inventor code to you.

For the training course, you can start with the Arduino project design. Presently I am in Lagos but we do online DIY training.
You will not regret having a course with us

Phones / Huawei Warns Google: We Are Almost Ready To Replace You by princejude(m): 10:30am On Dec 26, 2019
Does Huawei really have a Google alternative that it is about to unleash? It seems we may be about to find out. One of the company’s execs has reportedly claimed that replacements for Google apps, including mail, messaging, maps and payments, as well as key underlying services will be ready soon. This follows other claims last week that the forthcoming flagship, the P40, which is due to launch in March, will ship with the company’s Google replacement services onboard. Nothing is yet confirmed, but speculation is rife ahead of the company’s 2020 product launches.
The latest claims come from Huawei’s consumer head in India, Charles Peng, who was quoted in the country’s Economic Times on December 24 saying that "we have our own HMS and are trying to build a mobile ecosystem. Most of the key apps, such as navigation, payments, gaming and messaging will be ready soon.” Originally, the article suggested this might mean as soon as the end of December—this seemed overly optimistic and was corrected. Peng’s reported claim that “consumers won't see a difference between GMS and HMS,” remains optimistic. Google Mobile Services is the licensed software that turns open source Android into the full-fat variant. HMS is Huawei’s alternative.
According to the Economic Times, Huawei, along with its sister brand Honor, has engaged with India’s app developers to splash cash from its $1 billion fighting fund to morph Google apps onto the HMS equivalent. “We are focusing on how to work with developers to offer a good customer experience,” Peng said. “It is a challenge that we are trying to address.” That challenge cannot be understated. Shifting regular apps to a new platform is one thing—a question of scale, but replacing native access to Gmail, YouTube, Google Pay and Google Drive is another.
Peng was also reported to say that the vast Indian developer base—alongside Chinese equivalents—will help the company deliver its HMS alternative in other regions as well, including Europe. “In every country,” Peng told the Economic Times, “we will focus on bringing the top 100-150 apps to customers through HMS—we will create an end-to-end business model with developers, content and service providers.”
This is a key test for Huawei. The lack of Google has become the poster child for U.S. sanctions against the company, and without a viable alternative it cannot compete in the international (non-Chinese) market where consumers expect the full Android experience. A week ago, Huawei’s global smartphone head, Richard Yu, told French media that the new P40 will launch in at the end of March. The exec also said that the P40 will succeed without Google, it will fill the Google-shaped gap with its in-house alternative. According to the French media reports, this meant Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) would be ready and onboard.
What exactly this all means—including the intriguing “most apps” as articulated by Peng and a lack of specifics from Yu—we will find out in the next few weeks. Shortly after the blacklist hit in May, Yu promised the launch of an in-house Huawei operating system for the company’s smartphones—either late this year or early next. The new OS would run Google apps, only faster. Nothing of the sort has happened as yet. And then when the Mate 30 launched in September, Yu told the media there would be a semi-official workaround for Google. Again, nothing. Third time lucky, maybe.
On the assumption that Huawei’s Google alternative is available in the next few weeks, then the real battle begins—to persuade millions of consumers to make the switch. According to reports on internal sales numbers, Huawei has seen growth tail off in the all-important holiday fourth-quarter. It will struggle to maintain its smartphone sales trajectory if it follows the Mate 30 with another flagship product launch that fails to successfully answer the Google question. A worse result, though, will be launching a solution and finding that it falls flat. No easy options for the comp

My ultimate goal in life is ml and ai, started learning html, css, js last year and php, python this year. I have played around with C / C++, Assembly but just for fun. My major challenge in the Robotics field is the resource needed which has delayed my progress as i aimed to might have built my first AI powered App this year. But certainly, that would be next year. If theres any way your organization could assist me to contribute to the world, i will be grateful.

I have send the make command and right now it is at 69%.

I am quite happy that Nigerians are now going into this field but I have one advice for anyone who is interested in AI and the advice is to throw away your windows oS PC and switch to linux preferably Ubuntu.
I have done some small things with regards to AI (very small) but these days, I am mostly interested in building Chatbots (thats my new hobby till these year ends).
I have also dipped my hands in computer vision using opencv on raspberry pi and linux system. I wish it will continue to grow.

how did you install the opencv on raspberry pi. Any link?
