The requirements for a visit visa to Canada is what you are looking for, right? If true, this image you attached isn't it. Are you planning to go to Canada to renew your F1 visa instead of going back to your home country to do same? If yes, that's what the attached image is addressing. If no, and your F1 visa is yet valid for the times you will be in Canada and back to the US, you are good to go, no issues. Regards

Hello guys, I’m an international student in US, on F1 visa. I was going through the requirements for a visit visa for my summer break and I came across this, I’m finding it difficult to interpret, I need your help guys.

Depending on the number of courses that make up the graduating unit . In most programs spring and fall make one year and summer is holiday . In some programs due to the total unit needed to graduate then 3 semesters make 1 year

So while most degree might be 2 semesters some are 3 so the program coordinator is the best person to advice

Morning to the bosses in the house, please i need clarification on this. In Nigeria Education system, 2 semesters makes a section. On my i20 I have '' estimated average costs for 9 months'', which means I have 9 months to complete the first year. Does that mean 3 semesters (spring, summer, fall) makes a section? I asked a current student the question, he never gave me a satisfactory answer.

No issues. A lot of people do it but if your school says no, you better jump on the next available plane to U.S. There was a member of this thread that missed out this way in 2012/2013. Though we dont know if there was more to the story than what he told us but schools hardly refuse deferment within a year.

Thanks for the response sir, I just write the school to hear from them, if the response is no, I have nothing to do than to take the next available flight, just that flight ticket this period is not pocket friendly atall.

Your first step is to ask the school if you can defer till fall. If yes then nearer that time get a new I20 showing the fall start date and check If the Sevis is ok...if yes then you are good to go. You don't need to attend the interview again or need a new visa stamp . Just keep your passport safe and close to you so world people don't snatch it
Thanks so much aunty, I don't mean to go and sit in America till fall, just that I have an ongoing project which I have to monitor till end before I could travel. I will write the school sharply as you've advice, thanks once again.

Hello guys, complement of the season to you all, please i need answer to this, I got my visa approved late December, but u want to differ my admission to fall 2018 and request for a new i20 due to some personal reasons, hope I want have any issue with this decision I'm taking.

Hello fam, Please I need your opinion on this, school resumes on January 10, I'm planing to arrive US by December 17, my destination is California, but I won't to go direct to my aunt place at Missouri to deliver some stuffs to her before returning to Cali after spending three days with her, I want to know if this is not gonna cause as issue at the POE, going to school at Cali and having missouri as destination on my ticket, please advise on this
