I know I will be getting lots of Yabs and criticism on this post but that's ok. Pls, I need your advice. I have an appointment for an interview in Lagos embassy 9 days before the scheduled conference. I don't really feel too comfortable going for an interview on the 1st of August for a conference that will start on the 9th and yes this is my first time applying and I definitely have no travel history.


My parents were planning on sponsoring my trip but my mum's sister stepped up and wants to sponsor my trip. She lives in the US, what are ur thoughts about editing my DS 160 and letting them know my aunt will sponsor me. The only tie I have is that I will be called to the bar pretty soon. I'm not gonna live my life long dream to run away in the US. So pls, what do u all advise, be plain honest and let them know that I know someone in the US (my mom's sis) and that she will be the one sponsoring this trip or just leave it the way it is that my my mom is paying

pls i need some advice, I will be attending a conference in Atlanta, planning to stay for 1 week and come back. My aunt lives in the USA. while filling my information on form DS 160, do I declare that my aunt lives in the united states or just declare that I don't know anyone and that I'm just attending a conference. My mom will will be paying for my trip. I'm 21 years and the conference is related to my discipline.

For those of us who have done the biometric test, where do i go to get it done, pls i will appreciate it if i can get the name of the office and the location/physical address since i do not live in lagos. Moreover do we have the option of doing the test anywhere else or must it be in lagos? And what do i need to bring with me for the test.

Guys, my masters is in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and I want to go for my P.hd preferably in canada. I know it is very competitive But I am believing God for favor sha. My CGPA is 3.67, I want to do P.hd in Electrical / electronics Engineering. Any advise on schools that will accept my GP for Ph.d Program will be highly appreciated. if anyone also knows american universities that offer Ph.d in Electrical electronics engineering and does not require GRE, pls fill me in.

Pls guys, I live in Enugu and I'm getting my stuff together to turn in to CDHS for my study permit, do I need to travel down to lagos for my police clearance or can I get one from Enugu. I will also appreciate it if anyone who has applied online for student permit will be able to advise me on how to do it. pls no one should curse me out and tell me to read the whole thread. Ok, Guys, I just got my admission letter from a canadian university forwarded to my email by my agent. From the content, the school is giving me admission for Winter/january 2014. They have mailed out my information package with instructions on what to do.I just want to have heads up on what to expect from the package cos I am not sure how long it will take before I receive it in my home . Can somebody give me direction on the process after being offered admission like how to do the medical exam, where to go , how to apply for student visa, the options when applying, what will be needed by the embassy when I apply for my student Visa, any advise will be highly appreciated. thanks
