Deferring your admission because of this isn't the best option, except there are other issues you don't want to disclose.

If you must defer, do that officially and follow the steps approve by your school.
If you just leave the school and think you can continue after a year or two, you may not be able to continue when you return back if you don't follow the approved steps by your school for deferment.

A polytechnic. By mainly fellow students in the hostel and around the campus for my looks and that such kind of looks doesn't deserve to get what I want. This is the worst kind of bullying I have ever received. It has reduced my confidence and my ability to study. I used to be a programmer but they eventually spoilt my PC I believe. And you know I need to be okay to work with a PC especially Since I was interested in Algorithms and problem solving. I am not the same person I was before. This is the worst academic environment ever. I just wish I could leave and find my true self again

Please you need to physically talk to someone. A counsellor, a friend, mentor, etc.

I don't know the level you are in the Polytechnic. But if you're staying in a school hostel. I see no reason why your hostel mates behavior towards you should get to you in the first place. They may be older than you but see them as your mates and don't ever allow any of them bully you in whatever form.

The only thing I can sense here is, if they are the noisy type and because of that you can't read or concentrate in your programming stuff. You can leave the room to either the library, reading room in the hostel, or a free space like a free lecture hall you can read. Hostel is a place you meet all kind of people, and I believe if you look deeply you may find someone who can help you out there.

If it's a private hostel (off-campus lodge) you can leave or look for a better place for your mental health. If it's school hostel you can try to see the good part of them (which I believe everyone has) but if they continue to bully you, report to the school management.

What kind of academic environment are you in? Secondary school or University? Are you being bullied by cultists, lecturers, or by your classmates?
I think you should be more specific.

Take this with a grain of salt but in all our verification exercises, nobody has really looked at the cgpa side. I don't think the people verifying are aware of the clause. I know some people that have done verification without results because theirs wasn't ready. I'd say don't worry. As long as its a 2.1

Since the beginning of the ASUU strike if only you joined a technical workshop, or any vocation you would now have at least 6 months experience which can help you in the long run, instead of a meagre 15K salary on top of humiliations.

While what you stated here is right, I think blame game should not come in here towards the op.
We have a senseless and heartless govt that keep putting students into emotional and psychological trauma.
This ASUU strike has rendered the word *soon* useless.
On daily basis, you keep hearing the strike will be suspended *soon*.
Just yesterday, a 14-man committee was set up again after about 7 months of the strike.
95% of University students on strike now regret why they enrolled in school.
Many are into yahoo and rituals.
And to many going to school is not worth it again, they have joined the yahoo gang since no employment for them.
So any student you see now experiencing this present strike, just forget the blame game and encourage them in your little way.
Students have undergone the worst stress in this APC administration.
And who knows if the strike will linger till after June 12, 2023.
So many students affected by the strike are 100% frustrated.
