You need to change your perception about life...GOD loves everyone and is ever willing to take us to greater heights. A lot of persons have gone through your experience(s) if not worse and wouldn't put up this attitude/write-ups in a public domain. For those who have done so many interviews, you will know that interview assessments are subject to so many forces and sometimes are even beyond the control of interviewers. And for talking about NNPC 2012 recruitment as marred with nepotism/corruption,
YOU ARE WRONG! I advise we pray for GOD's mercy and that GOD settles us early.

May GOD show us mercy.

Originakalokalo:
This is what I posted on the 12th of June 2018.

Good morning guys.

Let me share my experience with you all.

I experienced this stress between 2010-2013 during nnpc recruitment. I started a thread on naijahotjobs that had more than 1000 pages.

After a long wait, the letters came.

It was a terrible experience as many did not get the job, that includes myself.

Pls do not put all your hopes in this, be ready to accept whatever comes.

Nnpc started the process well, the first two stages were on merit. Final selection was mared with serious corruption.

I guess they do that this days so that people will not complain about the process.

If you know anyone, pls follow up. If you don't pls pray.

Many people who comment here have talked to one or two persons about getting help.

When they finally get their letters, they won't tell you how they did it. If you have not, pls talk to God.

When the letters finally come, a lot of people will be shocked. I almost got hypertension because I didn't make it.

Looking back at my performance at the interview I cried like a child.

It was God that helped me...

This world is messed up already.

It is a place where slaves ride on horses while the princes walk .

God almighty,

Pls
Let your kingdom come.

A word is enough for the wise.

I wish all the hopefuls success.

Most of the messages here are just based on speculation, falsehood and personal deductions. Annoyingly, this is mentally draining. Can we stop playing with people's emotions...I respect tamihawtt's contribution one can sense she doesn't have a reliable date hence, her reason for giving an ambiguous response.

To start with, if you guyz claim you have info. that letters have been typed then you should tell us when we are suppose to resume as staff of DPR, as this must be spelt out in the letter.

Typing, posting and distribution of letters don't linger this long.

My piece of advise that we remain calm and focus on our respective hustles until APLs show up.

May GOD show us mercy.

Tamihawtt welcome back!

Marvel64:
The few successful candidates contacted to update their portals had issues such as missing documents and files belonging to other candidates found on their profile etc. They were further asked to confirm other details like name, class of degree and position applied and were told they would receive a feed back. The same week, the candidates (non-merit) that made it were contacted for confirmation and asked to provide more details.

Portals will be updated when the APLs are ready for pick up.

Factors considered during the final selection process:
1. Two or more candidates were not picked from the same LGA. The one with the highest score was considered.

2. A candidate with an average score of over 70% will be more likely to succeed.

3. If you applied for a position that isn’t related to your discipline, you will be dropped.

4. Masters degree is an advantage

5. Class of degree

6. If you have a relation working in DPR, you will be dropped unless you have a strong backing.

7. Children of retired staff will most likely considered. Only about 10% made it to the interview on merit.

Your previous posts kind of inconsistent with this as you posted earlier that Interview/aptitude test is 50:50 for GT and 100% interview scores for EH....
9jasam:
fact is dpr is recruiting more than 200.
as per d list and apl, everything is ready but i dont know whats delaying d call for apl.
d list is 80% merit.
how it was rated:

dressing: rating 1-5, weight 1
personality: rating 1-5 weight 5
introduce urself: rating 1-5 weight 1
technical question: rating 1-5 weight 5
general question/ current affairs: rating 1-5 weight 2
additional qualification/professional cert: rating 1-5, weight 1
aptitude test score: rating 1-45 weight 5.

maximum score possible during interview is 75
maximum score in aptitude test is 45x5 = 225
total possible score is 75+225=300
hence, interview score 25%, test score 75%.

Bad guy! You sound like someone I know....
Jturks:
Hi Guys, if you are lucky to be one of those few invited for the Interview, this post is to encourage you to fire down your preparations and disregard any of those guys who are here to discourage you. We had similar "highly connected" guys in a famous Nairaland Forum of 2012 who claimed their Minister-Senator-VP-Governor-Father-Uncle-Chief Inlaws had secured their Appointment Letters and they were only waiting for resumption date to resume as Staff at the Hiring Organization. Such claims almost made some Nobody- Candidates like us tear our Test and Interview Letters in intimidation thinking we were only wasting our time and scarce resources. But I tell you guys, more than 5 Years after I resumed at that very Organization, one of this "Pre- villeged" guys still calls asking me the resumption date for Second Batch. Perhaps, his dependable sources told him there is a Second Batch and his name is on that list. FAITH LIKE NO OTHER! Amazingly, more than 90% of us who got employed that year graduated best of our Year Classes, an indication of a merit-based recruitment. Come to think of it, if the less than say, 1k slots are to be shared among the highly placed God Fathers, WHO Would be favored? and WHO would be excluded?? Guys, I tell you, Prepare fervently for your interview and believe me, there is a 100% chance you will be employed if you ace the interview!

It is obvious this guy has offended you grin
Akexstinger:
It's a pure lie, I checked his posts and it was not even closed. That time people were already speculating for interview invite and he also said interview invite too, only for people to get UPDATE mail too. And later on he too got an update mail. Nobody has been able to give accurate info here. He came here again and said text has been sent to 3000 persons and another person came here and mentioned 3500 persons and he immediately concurred. Meanwhile 3500 persons and 700 is something that we had known even before the aptitude test. So, that's why I will still say nobody has been able to post accurate information here. Some people have said that even those whose portals were closed will still be called for the interview, and again he comes here to say additional people will be called in the engineering group, all because he wants to stay relevant.
When you talk about accurate info, accurate and specific info is what transpired in the NLNG group, someone mentioned when people will be invited for aptitude test, when people will be invited for interview, and another posted likely questions for the interview. That's how you know those with reliable info. They post once and it just happen. And not you posting here and there, just countering yourselves.

I sincerely, think we should all calm our nerves. DPR should get to us anytime soon & then we will know which side of the divide is correct. My profile is still accessible and I still have some level of skepticism. May GOD show mercy!

BusinessRe: Naira To Dollar Exchange Rate From 1972-2017 Will Amaze You (photos) by PrinzeMike(m): 10:57pm On Jul 05, 2017
ADEWUMIMichael:
Not so long ago the Nigerian Naira was a very strong currency, so strong that in the 70’s and 80’s and to be specific as at 1979/1980 fifty five kobo (55k) could fetch you about one dollar ($1).

Ever since the exploitation and discovery of crude oil in Nigeria, the major source of foreign currency (Forex) in Nigeria shifted from agriculture to crude oil hence the foreign reserves was deeply affected with the discovery of shale oil process of extracting oil, the crude oil price dropped significantly hence depleting the foreign reserves.

The love for western made products also played a significant role in fall of the Naira currency as most products were imported into Nigeria which required Dollars to purchase hence making the demand for the Dollar a scarce commodity. Importation was so bad that Nigeria which was one of the highest exporters of agricultural products became an importer to products such as rice, garri, cocoa and much more.

Older generations would be able to relate to the good times better when the Naira was as strong as the Dollar but for the newer generation seeking the history of the Naira against the dollar this article should help you with that.
