I've a freight company I use that has charged me 2,500 naira per kg to London. Extra fee incurred for movement beyond there to other cities. I've not had the time to shop around for other quotes, and in any case I've been dealing with this company for a few years now, so I'll use them.
I'm using it for food items only; don't have the energy to be carrying half of Nigeria's agricultural products into an airplane.

So that's about 5 pounds or 4.50 per kg depending on the exchange rate you want to play with.

Use that as a rough guide to calculate which will be cheaper for you in line with your airline's extra baggage rates.
In my case, the BA extra baggage allowance comes in slightly cheaper since I'm going beyond London.

Still awaiting Visa oo.. Hopefully this week cuz the ppl sent my BRP to our school still don't know why I haven't received it yet.

My friend did that and they returned his passport the next working day - his visa had been issued about a week earlier, and had been ready and perhaps the embassy people had just been overwhelmed.

Please I need information on getting accommodation in U.K. I will be studying in Nottingham Trent University in September for my masters program and I will like to go with my 7 month old Son. I will like to know if it will be possible to get accomodation to stay that is not costly for me and my baby e.g. a Studio apartment close to City campus. Do you have previous job experience in Nigeria? If no ur chances are very slim. However, if you come to the UK (maybe as a student) you might be able to get unpaid experience which will then increase ur chance.

Lmaooo you will become methuselah before uni will find placement for you. They will just keep filling your emails with placement adverts.

So It’s your responsibility dear.
If you’re not able to secure one, you will just continue with classes & dissertation. They don’t even send you with that placement.

I personally think that these U.K. universities extort internationals. They know very well that at least 80% of internationals will not be able to secure placements, yet they list it on their website to make you pay extra. Internationals too thinking they have sense will be rushing for two year programs just to buy more time in the “abroad”. Las las you will realise that the second year was not really worth the extra tuition. Two years is only handy if you’re going to work to pay off your tuition & you don’t want to be under much pressure. That’s all, nothing else.

The only one they can help you with it’s study abroad but you will be the one to do the uni & visa applications. Then again most internationals don’t utilise this opportunity because they’re either still owing tuition & need to work or they’re just not ready to stress themselves with the whole wahala of moving abroad
