AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ADMISSION - SAT OR ACT? The ACT is an 'aptitude-knowledge' test just like the SAT, GMAT, GRE and so on. Submission of an ACT or SAT score is one of the main requirements for admission into most American colleges and universities. The SAT has been the most popular of the tests taken for admission into universities in the US. But of recent the ACT has overtaken the SAT in terms of popularity and maybe standard and acceptance. More and more American students seeking admission into colleges and universities now prefer the ACT to the SAT. In Nigeria too, more people are now becoming aware of the ACT - though the number of students taking the SAT is still higher than that of the ACT. The ACT seems to be much simpler for students that are mathematically sound than the SAT does. Most science-oriented students also seem to prefer the ACT to the SAT. However, the truth is that in both exams the Mathematics section constitutes 50% of the total score while the English section contributes the remaining 50%. This can be said to be the case only if one considers the infograhic-rich Science section of the ACT as a type of Mathematics test. Most students consider the ACT main Mathematics section as being simpler than the SAT Mathematics. For this conclusion they cite reasons such as the allowance of calculator throughout the ACT Mathematics section and the fact that it's less 'aptitude-inclined' than the SAT Mathematics. Some other students argue that the SAT English section - including the Writing and Reading subsections - is much easier to handle than the combined English section of the ACT. Each of the five passages of the SAT Reading subsection allows candidates thirteen minutes on the average to answer ten or eleven questions. But the ACT provides a bit less than nine minutes on the average to read each of the four passages and answer ten questions on it. Another reason students cite when they conclude that the SAT Reading test is simpler than the ACT Reading test is that the SAT gives more useful quotations from the passages than the ACT does. Many students believe that the more direct quotations in the SAT Reading test afford them the opportunity to quickly skim and scan through the passages and still understand them to a useful extent than the ACT passages do. They say that one may need to pay closer attention to the ACT passages than the SAT's - this coupled with the fact that you only have nine minutes for an ACT passage whereas you have thirteen minutes for an SAT passage. When it comes to the Writing Test subsection of the English section, the major reason for students' preference for the SAT over the ACT is that they have to answer 44 questions in the former while the latter asks 75 questions. By and large, we at the Be-Noble Home School, Lagos, do not believe that one is harder than the other. WE TEACH OUR STUDENTS THE BEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE STRATEGIES FOR DOING EXCELLENTLY WELL IN EACH OF THE TWO EXAMS. We then asses each of them to determine where his/her performance is perpetually high. We go ahead to advise the parents on which of the two tests it's best to register their children for. Sometimes, we tell parents to register the students for the two tests. The student can then use the one in which s/he has better score for application into universities and colleges. The SAT Writing and Language Test is most probably the easiest of the three major sections of the SAT. Based on my experience over the years tutoring students for the SAT, I can boldly say that it's far easier to have a perfect score of 400/400 in the Writing and Language Test than it is to have a 400/400 in the Evidence-based Reading Test or an 800/800 in the Math Test. The Writing section consists of 44 questions which are to be answered in 35 minutes. Various aspects of English writing and grammar that are needed for a successful studentship in most American and certain European universities are tested in these 44 questions. The two major categories to which the Writing Test questions belong are the Expression of Ideas (EOI)and Standard English Convention (SEC). There are 24 EOI questions and 20 SEC questions. For the EOI questions, the students are expected to 'work' on the passages provided with the aim of improving the sentences. In doing so, they make the sentences to be more PRECISE, CONCISE, LOGICAL and better ORGANISED. They are also asked to improve the style and tone of the passages and to detect the main/central themes or ideas of the passages and the paragraphs. All these can be easily and correctly done by students that are well prepared. The remaining 20 questions make up the SEC category. Here the students are expected to improve the punctuations and the general grammatical structure of each of the four passages they are to work on. Well trained students have no problem doing all these. The next SAT exam is on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Our students at Be-Noble Home School, Lagos have been well trained and they are now well prepared for the test. They now know all the tactics they need to do exceedingly well in the Reading, Writing, Math and Essay sections of the SAT. They have no problem detecting the various 'pranks' the College Board play with their questions. And they are adequately ready to smartly and correctly handle the questions in all the sections. Billyonaire:I asked this question yesterday but you didn't answer. I ask the same question again now: what's the place of Chakra and Chakra Meditation in spiritual/divine advancement? |
What if I told them that the spirit of God is on the surface of water and they can capture this Spirit and Drink of it but it requires powerful magnets to extract this mineral. Will they believe me ? - https://www.nairaland.com/4414050/last-supper-nairaland/2 |

@Billyonaire 10. Prostitution: There is money to be made here, because men must fucck; Open a world class Brothel, sorry hotel, but make sure 3 plots away you also own a club/bar. When they get horney, the closest place to fucck is still your income generator. That way you do not only control their drinks, their stomachs and their erections, you can also control their minds and empty their pockets. A fool and his money must part ways. What's the role of love for others and morality in one's spiritual/divine advancement? |

There is no God out there sitting on one throne and answering your prayers. You are capable of materializing your desires. You are capable or realigning the elements in the universe through your persistence thoughts. That is the essence of the grid, to communicate and get results from the connectivity of all beings. |
Not all thoughts get materialized. There is threshold level for all vibrations to gain enough kinetics to have effects. To achieve these, you raise your vibrations. Religious bodies do these through praise and worship songs, fasting and prayers and Shamman do these through concoctions and Psychedelics do this through use of psychedelic drugs, herbs and mushrooms. |
When you focus your attention on anything, any thoughts, any emotions etc, what you are doing in essence is you are altering the state of electronic component of thoughts, your emotions and your desire. And you are altering them from wave nature to particulate nature and vice-versa. In the case of visualization, which I believe every praying person does, then you are intentionally converting the wave nature of thoughts to particulate nature, viz-a-viz 'material nature'. When we pray loudly, we are doing same thing that those who pray silently do, albeit we want to shout away the distractions and the background noise of our environment. If you choose to not pray it doesnt mean there is no way you can material your thoughts, in fact there are many other ways. https://www.nairaland.com/3498566/science-behind-prayer-art-miracles/1 |
The Chakras or energy centers are the nodes in the human grid that connects us at threshold frequencies to the cosmic grid. The amplitude of our frequencies must be augmented for there to a resonance effect. And that is what we do each time we commune, each time we meditate, each we think thoughts, each time we worry, each time we hate. The signal we send out, has impact on the vibrations received by others. Today, was about materialization of thoughts and performance of 'miracles'. https://www.nairaland.com/3498566/science-behind-prayer-art-miracles/1 |
Morning everyone. After today's class, we will come to understand the nature of prayer and magic, why "miracles" happen and that the fact that we create these miracles either as a person or as a group, and not some distant Being based on the clouds of the skies. We will attempt to present scientific evidences to further buttress our point. Whether you are atheist, theist and pantheist. Deep in you you know that there is miracle. When I say Miracle, it ofcourse means the same thing as magic, but the difference ? We are the ones ascribing nomenclatures to "expected" and the "unexpected" effects. Miracles happen in every Religions, in Shamanism, Voodoo, Juju etc, even though we know for a fact, that not All Religions and Practices have same Avatar or Leader. So, Miracle is a common factor. You may have wondered that God performs miracles and Devil performs Magic. The theories here are not intended to bridge the gap between Science and Religion, but it actually to proof that Science is a validator of facts whether these facts are in Religion, Humanities, Cultures, Myths, Traditions and other walks of life. Class will begin when we have at least 10 Students. https://www.nairaland.com/3498566/science-behind-prayer-art-miracles |
