PoliticsRe: How To Send Tinubu Packing From Aso Rock by proeast(op): 4:38pm On Feb 27, 2025
What does agbado ronus like you know except bigotry & tribalism? Walahi, logic and common sense is far from you guys.

Even with all the rigging, it was a close 3 horse race. Then, there was extreme propaganda that Tinubu knows how to use technocrats to get the job done and how he will build Nigeria like how he built Lagos. Today, even a child knows that Tinubu is a failure! His Muslim Muslim ticket has been exposed as scam! 95% of Nigerians are hungry and a hungry man is an angry man!

Add Atiku's votes to Obi's votes in 2015, and also add the frustrations almost every Nigerian is facing today, then tell me how eyeneck can rig for him against all these odds? I don't even think Tinubu's men would be allowed to put up billboard anywhere in the North or try to campaign without people stonning them and same with the East.

The reason why Tinubu is trying to destroy PDP and LP is because he is morbidly afraid. But unfortunately for him, the coalition that is coming will totally overwhelm him.

Even Tinubu and those around him knows that should Atiku and Obi present a single ticket, it's all over for him.

PDP bragged more than this before 2015. PDP wasn't even half hated as APC today. It's laughable seeing you ronus praising Tinubu based on tribal sentiments and bigotry while the rest of the country are disgusted at his incompetence.

FYI, yoruba has 5 States against 32 states including FCT.

Lol, when a butterfly thinks it has become a bird. Val, you're never in the same league with Soludo. The only thing that gave you popularity is Obi and the Obidients.

You're free to return and lick your vomit out of crass selfishness and desperation. However, just know that Soludo will beat you so badly that it will be embarrassing for you. I know you're hoping for the type of Edo rigging but know that it won't work in Anambra. Even most Obidients will rather vote for Soludo than vote for you in APC.
PoliticsHow To Send Tinubu Packing From Aso Rock by proeast(op): 11:55am On Feb 27, 2025
People have argued that Tinubu can't be defeated. That he is too corrupt to encourage free and fair election like Jonathan. They also claim that as long as INEC remains under the discredited current chairman, that no one can defeat Tinubu.

All these are fallacies. Tinubu is currently the most unpopular president in the history of Nigeria. He is the only democratic president who has no single base! Tinubu can't get blocked votes in any region, not even his SW!

To get rid of such unpopular president is very easy, if the opposition can play their cards well. Let the North rally round Atiku as their sole candidate in a new coalition. Let Atiku reach out to Obi & Obidient movement, and promise that Obi will not only be the vice president, but also be in control of the economy & economic policies. Let Obidients campaign on that premise.

Then Northern governors should decamp to the new opposition party formed by the coalition. Give it a coloration as the new party that is going to save Nigeria. All Labour party elected members including Alex Ottih will also join the new party. Automatically, the new party will be in control of the social media and narrative.

As Obi brings along his bases including SE, SS, Christians of middle belt and urban centers of Nigeria, Atiku will be bringing the NE and NW. With this arrangement, Tinubu will be defeated before 12 noon on election day! It doesn't matter what INEC plans because they can't rig in this situation. There would be overwhelming force against INEC & Tinubu won't have any choice than to accept defeat.

Obi's ambition is to see Nigeria work & Atiku's ambition is to become a president. This merger becomes a win-win. This is also what Tinubu and his foot soldiers fear the most. The only problem is that El Rufai and Kwankwaso are too selfish. But if they can allow common sense to prevail, this is the only ticket that will defeat Pharoah & his INEC.

Who cares? At least that will help to reduce it to the level of Ogbomoso and ibadan. Hausa is far more popular than Yoruba yet it's not the language spoken in Abuja because Abuja is cosmopolitan.

I only pity Lagos indigenes that allowed a bastard from another place to come and be destroying their state.

TravelRe: What Is Stopping You From Japa? Let’s Hear Your View by proeast(m): 6:30pm On Feb 25, 2025
Lol, you have mentioned those that traveled out and are struggling, but you forgot to mention those that traveled and are making it. I have a sibling who was working at an international airport in Nigeria as a nurse, yet she could only afford to live in a room and parlour and had zero assets. She traveled to the UK and within a couple of years, she had properties worth 10's of millions and have visited a number of countries on holiday. These are things she couldn't have dreamed of if she stays in Nigeria for 15 years.

Most people that travel abroad also face pressure from friends and family in Nigeria for help. Regardless, if one is focused abroad & is willing to work hard, they can easily save as much as $600 to $1000 monthly. You know how much that is in naira? How many people can earn that in Nigeria as their full salary talk more of savings?

If the exchange rate is $1 to 100 naira, do you think anyone would be talking about japa? The fact that your currency has been made worthless and you still earn it in peanuts means you won't escape poverty because inflation alone already makes nonsense of your earnings.

The project an average abroad based person can undertake in a month, an average based Nigerian can't attempt it in one year.

A wise person who think deeply should know what is best between traveling out or staying in Nigeria. Those that hoped for a better Nigeria died with frustration.

Saviola86:
I used to have desire to japa when my two of my friends and some course mates moved to UK and US then some neighbors relocated to Canada, Australia, Finland etc.

I felt the need to move too but last year I noticed that those that travelled are not doing too well.

They send nothing home, in committee of friends fund raising groups they barely send more than 10k and these were guys that I know love show off

Three of them that are very close to me one in UK, two others in Canada always tell me about their struggles.

Sometimes when we talk, 11pm they will tell me that they are at work doing night shifts, any time you call, they are working.

These were guys doing well in Nigeria, like I know they make 800-1m in Nigeria. Their businesses were doing fine, they had workers and car.

The other friend in Australia had a good job atleast I know but hearing them talk about going to sweep people's home, going to care for old people, working in factories, working late at night discouraged me.

It's been 4yrs one of them traveled (UK) but he is yet to settle.

I don't want a life of work work work and then at old age what I have only is maybe a rental house that I built because I have observed some people that traveled abroad for greener pastures what they really have to show for it is the house they built in the village or town.

I am not doing too bad in naija and I believe in 2yrs time I should commence my building project

The bastard of iragbiji and the midget terrorist of Kaduna fit each other. These 2 dishonest and treacherous fools are responsible for Nigeria's problems.

Tinubu and his gang don't know how stupid they sound each time they claim that it's the Senate thar stopped El Rufai and not Tinubu. Which Senate are we talking about here? The same rubber stamp Senate with Akpabio who is Tinubu's puppet?! The same Senate that will rather sing "on your mandate we stand" instead of the national anthem, just to shamelessly show how loyal they're to Tinubu as erand boys?!

If Tinubu had told his puppet, Akpabio to clear El Rufai, won't they have told him to bow and go?

It's either these foolish old men are very stupid or they think Nigerians are stupid.
TravelRe: Finland Opens Application Portal For Nigerians, Others by proeast(m): 11:08pm On Feb 24, 2025
I'm not arguing based on personal perspective, rather I'm referring to the general situation in Nigeria. I have earned in excess of $1000 monthly as a freelancer while still earning from my other businesses. This was before APC came and ruined everything. AI too ruined freelancing. Even in the best of times, freelancers, youtubers, content creators etc can't be up to 1% of the population, so they're insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

I have lived or visited a number of Asian countries and saw how small holding farmers are able to make a living. But same can't be said about Nigeria. Farmers are raped & hacked to death, their crops destroyed by herders. Due to that, many have abandoned farming. Nobody is waiting for Tinubu to feed them rather he shouldn't be making life miserable for everyone due to his gross incompetence. Are you aware that Nigeria's GDP per capita fell from over $3000 to about $800? And the projections are saying it won't rise above $1000 in the near future! Such crash in living standards can only be witnessed in a country facing severe drought or disastrous civil war.

People in rural areas are almost all in acute poverty, even worse than low income earners in cities.

In saner climes, Tinubu would have been forced to resign or be impeached. What is his policy on agriculture or to stop herders from killing people and destroying crops? What was he thinking by removing subsidy & floating naira same time? What about his extravagance & unchecked massive corruption?

Nigerians don't understand how hopeless their situation is because even in the coming years, there isn't going to be any improvement.

Anyone who knows they aren't earning above 500,000 naira should seriously consider such options because they would certainly be better off!

malali:
Proeast, I agree with you Nigeria is different. This same complain about housing is the same in the first world countries, no one is able to afford to rent a house on minimum wage, you have to work multiple jobs. I know someone working 18 hrs to afford to rent a place. The truth is not everyone in Nigeria will get an office Job.
Agriculture is a good job. If you buy 30 local chickens and 1 rooster and you manage it very well. I can guarantee you in 6 months, you will be able to cover half your "necessary" bills.
50% of the cows we eat, come from Niger, chad, mali. Because we dont produce enough cows to eat. Cattle ranching might be too big, but what about goats and sheep.
Everybody cannot live in the city and expect to be a full time responsibility of the government. Look at skit makers, some of them make more than 1000 dollars a month from revenue sources.
You have to look for your god given skill. If you wait for Tinubu's governement to feed you, you will die of hunger.

Everyone won't buy house in Banana island. In fact, considering how much Tinubu has damaged Nigeria's economy, majority of Nigerians will never be able to build any house at all.

How many Nigerians today are able to pay their house rent, eat 3 square meal, wear good clothes or afford other basic needs?

If you're talking about Nigeria of Jonathan era, I would join you and condemn this offer as rubbish. Because then, many Nigerians were earning the equivalent in naira (exchange rate wasn't bad then). Nigeria has become a country of destitutes where most people struggle to eat.

Come off your high horse and face reality, Nigeria has become a wretched country!

Anyone from any other country can argue this and I will listen, but seeing someone from the world's poverty capital where majority still struggle to survive earning less than $100 a month with inflation holding them on chokehold, and you want to condemn an offer that is for global audience?

The truth of the matter is that anyone who is opportuned to get this offer will still end up being better than majority of Nigerians. They will still save money, help their poor relatives in Nigeria and still make some investments.

Three ethnic groups were reported as involved in the fight I.e. Ijaw, Bini and Yoruba. I understand that Ijaw and Bini are both indigenous to Edo state so I'm wondering why yorubas are involved in this fight when they're not indigenous to the state? Why can't they respect their host and stay out of trouble?

They always claim that cocoa is only grown in SW out of ignorance, but facts on ground proves that so many states including those in the South south, South East and even Middle belt all grow cocoa in commercial quantities.

Very dishonest set of people!
PoliticsRe: We Need A Rescue Operation – El-Rufai To North, South-South Stakeholders by proeast(m): 5:45pm On Feb 23, 2025
You're deceiving yourself. Igbos have a big influence because they're majority in both SE and SS. Both regions vote in same direction because of religious, ethnic, socio-cultural affinity.

Just pray that an alliance between Igbos and North is not reached because that would be the end of Tinubu in aso rock. He is the most unpopular president in the history of Nigeria & not even rigging will save him.

badoh:
You think South South is dense like you? Let the East test their political prowess by aligning with the North and let see where it'll take them too. For your info, south-south can't be cajoled to please your interest. As it stands, North-Central, South-South and Southwest will stand with Tinubu whether you like it not. You also think the people of Southern Kaduna and Plateau will be daft to vote a Fulani person back into power and jettison their security? Oga, stop dreaming, Nigeria is better off with Tinubu for now though their are teething problems and challenges the country is passing through.
PoliticsRe: We Need A Rescue Operation – El-Rufai To North, South-South Stakeholders by proeast(m): 5:38pm On Feb 23, 2025
This one is still a kid and knows nothing about politics. Go and ask what happened to Abiola when he made similar stupid statements. Igbos encouraged the North to humble him. The can never humiliate any part of South, without the active support of a part of South. Buhari made such statements because he already teamed up with yorubas. If Igbos decide to play the chameleonic and zero integrity/principle that yorubas exhibit in Nigerian politics, they would always mean up with North to humiliate you guys.

To defeat Tinubu is simple, an alliance between North and Igbos will sack him from aso rock. But Igbos are not willing to team up with ethno religious bigots like El Rufai and Kwankwaso unlike Yorubas that would jump at the offer without minding the effects on Nigeria. SE and SS always votes in one direction and both regions have far more political value than 5 SW states. Lagos election is not determined by yoruba voting direction. Middle belt Christians also vote in the same direction with SE and SS and that's why Abuja is always won by those supported by these regions.

Having zero principle & being wicked to accept alliance with evil people like Buhari against those with conscience like Jonathan doesn't mean you're relevant, it only shows how wicked you are too as a group.

Dongquai:
nobody courts south east politically because they are irrelevant in the scheme of things.

PoliticsRe: We Need A Rescue Operation – El-Rufai To North, South-South Stakeholders by proeast(m): 5:21pm On Feb 23, 2025
This guy na mumu for saying this. South south is unlike SW or SE. SS will always flow with SE for obvious reasons bothering on ethnic, cultural, religious and social affinities. Again, Igbos are also a majority in SS. If there is free and fair elections, both regions will always go in the same direction.

El Rufai is only frustrated because he has been branded as a religious and ethnic bigot, and that's why Igbos don't like him. So, he is clutching at straws.
EducationRe: Why Leaving Canada Might Be The Best Option For Some International Students by proeast(m): 5:12pm On Feb 23, 2025
When they argue that there are lots of Indians in Canada relative to US or UK, they're talking about percentages. When you look at the demography of Canada, you might realise that Indians are up to 20% or more of the total population. That's a lopsided problem that will have unintended consequences. I don't think Indians constitute more than 10% in US or UK, so they can't dominate like they would in Canada.

They literally begged the British to come and colonise them; to save them from continous external attacks from Dahomeans in the West and Fulanis from the North, and to also save them from themselves. Yorubas are the only ethnicity in the world that shamelessly begged the British to come and colonise them. Whereas Igbos fought a brutal war against the British for so many years.

When you see them accepting the decayed & smelling Nigeria, it's simply because they're afraid of being left to be on their own. It will be a return of kiriji.

PoliticsRe: Southern Nigerian Federation - Hypothetical Country by proeast(m): 10:54pm On Feb 13, 2025
Firstly, the map is wrong. How did Yorubaland extend to cover southern Edo/Delta?

Two, how can people that believe Lagos is exclusively theirs yet want to monopolise seaport and receive oil and gas revenue from other places.

The truth is that Yorubas know that once Nigeria breaks, Lagos will become another Cotonue. The bulk of maritime activities will move to the Niger Delta areas just like the Oil Rivers era before colonisation. Without maritime, oil and gas, Igbo economic activities in Lagos, the economy will collapse.

That is why they've always paid lip service to anything breakup.

Not possible, Igbos and Yorubas have no business being together in one country. It's a recipe for disaster just as it has been in Nigeria
