Emergency lovers of Nigeria.

Pa Nnamdi himself. Allow our soldiers to do their work.

Your hypocrisy smells to high heavens, if this incident happened anywhere in Yorubaland, you people won’t be singing all these “wipe them out” rhetorics. Even when worse cases occurred in the North, you all were silent but since it happened in the Niger delta, most of you from that side are now cheerleaders pushing the army to commit atrocities.

Shame!!!
Politics / Re: Oronsaye Report: Tinubu May Stop Army Varsity, NDA Merger – Zulum by proeast(m): 4:43am On Mar 16
You’re the one not getting it. Orosanya report is all about cutting down on recurrent expenditure. Merging offices, agencies, institutions or parastatals that seem to duplicate their functions. For instance, civil defense could be merged with police since their functions are similar. Then some of their staff would be absorbed and rest sacked.

In the case of military university in Borno, it could also be deemed as unnecessary since there is a federal university there and there is another military university in Kaduna. So, those other institutions can effectively do what that one in Biu can do. So, they would absorb it as a faculty and manage it with funds allocated to them instead of spending huge amounts trying to maintain as an independent institution.

I hope it’s clear to you now.

kagari:
That is not what the article mearnt, it meant instead of the turning army university to a faculty extension Nd shuting it down as an university, it can rather be converted to a convensional univesity.

Lol, why is the North getting agitated and triggered with the Tinubu these days?

So, this governor is saying that Orosanya report should be implemented in other states but they should not implement it in his state because his people is against the effect? We have NDA which in Kaduna which functions as army university, so why would there be another military university in Borno?

All these are nothing but waste of resources on recurrent expenditure.

Politics / Re: Now That The Northern Storm Have Gathered. by proeast(m): 1:58pm On Mar 15
Vboot1:
Just after Asiwaju Tinubu ascended the office of the president, SW Apc folks went on a banter spree against the other Souths forgetting the so called "Southern Unity" that guaranteed power rotating back to the south.
In a previous thread I made just after the election, I questioned the SW Apc folks what will happen "when the North start their games against Tinubu's presidency who will stand with you ?"

https://www.nairaland.com/7843040/still-southern-presidency

Now that the Northern storm have begining to gather who will stand with the SW?

The SW came to power on the mantra of "Southern Unity" and Southern presidency, but ended up cornering all juicy and revenue generating positions all for themselves not even sharing it appropriately with the other Souths unlike Buhari that favored the whole North including the SW. The SW APC also launched vitriol of malicious tribal attacks on other Southern counterparts forgeting the alliance that brought them to power.

With the recent happenings happening in the Senate and scheming by northern senators it seems old play books have been opened and it's all about to begin. Just like i predicted and history being my guide, they will come to Tinubu's presidency.

To my APC SW folks, you can't eat your cake and have it back. The "southern unity" ship you will desperately now have long sailed.

Sit Tight.

Lol, the better South will just watch them and see how it plays out. Any side that gains the upper hand, we team up with that side and subdue the weaker side. That’s how the saboteurs have been playing the game since Mungo Park.

Slimlord:

You people overrate the North. They are only powerful because the south East and the southwest don't work together.

It’s a game of thrones. Tinubu knows that Muslim north has realized he fooled them with the MuMu ticket and they’re now coming for him. So, he now wants to rally South and middle belt to his side to counter them.

It’s going to be a long battle of wits but if he plays his cards well, Fulanis would be subdued.

Tinubu is no doubt a corrupt and despicable human. However, he is showing balls of steel and I’m beginning to like him for that.

Not yet best, but if he continues and improves on this pace, he will be in the league of legends like Mbakwe, Jakande, Okpara etc. Unlike the criminal called Bat who is the worst rogue in the history of Nigeria. Even Anini wasn’t as despicable as the disgusting drug lord yet his shameless tribe man worshipping tribe still support him.

Rusted roof and slum dwellers will always want to die on top Igbo issues. What concerns those in the waste with what happens in the SE and SS?

They behave like witches and that’s why they’ve remained the most backward region in Africa. Imagine people that dwell in slum settlements.

I wonder why most people from the waste lack common sense. Didn’t Igbos evacuate Onitsha, Enugu and Owerri at some point during the war? Does it now mean they weren’t part of Igboland?

The foolish man thought Rivers people are Mumu like the drug lord’s bambiala tribe where ordinary humans are worshipped like deities. In SS and SE, every man is seen like the mere mortal they are.

I understand the hate is real but too much hyping, boasting attracts envy and jealousy just as Prof Chinua Achebe mentioned in his last novel 'There was a country' we should learn how to manage our success with maturity. We should rather be advertising and projecting Aba in more positive way for investors to take advantage of current situation of 24/7 electricity in Aba.Peace!

And where exactly did I boast or try to bring others down? If you haven’t noticed, a particular set of Nigerians always get envious and angry anytime there is signs of progress in the East. Trying to hide your potentials instead of projecting it for investors to key in is cowardice, especially when you do it because you don’t want to offend some people.

This project isn’t even from FG, so what exactly are you scared of?

Keeping Aba in the news for the right or positive reasons is what Igbos should be doing. There has been decades of bad news about Aba, so the city needs all the positive news it can get to override that!

Our people do know how to manage success without noise unnecessarily attracting envy from friends and foes.
If Peter Obi had won na so dey go dey buy enemies for him from far and wide with too much boating and noise.

Lol, Nigeria’s oppressive mentality is finally getting to you guys. They want Igbos to remain subdued and timid ones are already falling for it.

If Obi had won, it is not necessarily any boasting or whatever will make them to hate him or bring him down, but same hate they have for you since before independence. Do you think Obi will do 5% of the evil Tinubu has done without the same North and west conniving to bring him down just like they did to Jonathan?

Stop trying to be timid to impress who will never like you regardless.

SMH.

Now that the massive chains holding back the great elephant has been broken, the Enyimba city is about to assume the greatness it was destined to be.

Smart people are already making moves and positioning themselves and their assets/investments so they could benefit from the expected windfall.

When Ngozi Okonjo Iweala visited Aba, alongside the then Wolfensing, the two world renowned economists were shocked to discover that Aba was no different with the Asian tigers in terms of productivity and skills. However, unlike the Asians, Aba was suffering from gross infrastructural decay which frustrated their output. NOI then met Barth Nnaji and they discussed how Aba could be provided with 24/7 electricity, outside the ubiquitous & redundant national grid. Barth Nnaji, one of Nigeria’s greatest engineers took up the gauntlet. Despite decades of sabotage to frustrate the project by enemies, Barth Nnaji persevered. Today, Aba has taken away Nigeria’s shame of being a generator republic. At least, we can now argue that some places in Nigeria enjoy 24/7 power supply!

The number of containers leaving Onne seaport to Aba and other parts of East has witnessed an upsurge but it’s going to skyrocket soon. P.H is going to reap massive windfall from Aba.

Aba skyline is going to change in just 16 years from now. Don’t be shocked when you see bulldozers demolishing 4 storey buildings along Azikiwe road or other roads in main town to pave way for 12 storey blocks of flats. Neither should you be surprised when you see 20 storey hotel being built around the city. If Aba people could have the courage to build 5 storey residential apartments with epileptic power supply & no lifts, what do you think will happen now that there is 24/7 power supply? Your guess is as good as mine!

The first three pictures is Aba 2024.
The last picture is how Aba is going to be in 2040.

Lol, the number of yorubas working in companies in Aba will shock you. Back in the early 2000’s, after my WAEC, we used to go to industrial layout to look for manual labor work and I know the uncountable number of yorubas I usually meet. Unilever, Nigerian breweries, Pfizer, Niemeth, Vitafoam and many other factories were located there. Now, that’s just one industrial estate in Aba, there were others at Osisioma, Eziama etc.

Aba has always been among the most industrialized cities in Nigeria. I guess it’s going to witness a boom now.
