Why does this remind me of Evans ?

Where is Gani Adams? Where is OPC? When I had an account on nairaland ( babaolofin), I have asked this question several times and gave explanation.

Some people complained Tinubu didn't recognize Frederick Fasheun OPC founder but several years ago I have told people how Dr Fasheun became IBOS tool to fight Lagos State Government. They used him, he became their defender fighting Lagos State Government.

On Gani Adams, during end SARS riot he defended them. Gani Adams and Dr Fasheun fought on the side of PDP (Jonathan) against APC in 2015 election. They created nuisances everywhere in Lagos.

OPC has no value presently to the Yorubas.

The South West government of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo can support the ILAJE communities through OBA Akinrutan (OBAT), the OLUGBO of UGBO Land to establish a Maritime Vigilante CORPS. The ILAJE are the only people that can guarantee local surveillance, local intelligence gathering on our waterways in South West. These people have been abandoned for so long .

Governor Sanwoolu should reach out to OLUGBO of UGBO Land as soon as possible. The South West is in the midst of envious and frustrated enemies full of bitterness. They want to create chaos. They are particularly angry about Lagos development and the Chagoury family and Lebanese Community in Lagos in general.

We need AMOTEKUN Maritime Corps before it is too late.

At Ibadan, it is even worse. From Oke- Ado, Oke-Bola, Ekotedo, Mokola and those selling at Iwo Road, about 50% of those that speak Yoruba are not Yorubas.

They are the ones shouting Ebi npawa. They also influenced and confused weak and jobless Yoruba youths and miscreants.

Igbo have never thrived with government patronage and support. Their apprenticeship system is seen by Havard and other world renowned business schools as the biggest wealth incubator. Oga remove igbo hatred from you so that you will die peacefully.

While I have an entirely different view to the success story of Dangote Refinery, I will say something here about the business acumen dimensions that brought ethnicity here.

From time immemorial, the IBOS always attacked Dangote on every social media without any reason. They are quick to bring IBETO into the matter. Few days ago when Dangote commissioned Sinotruck Assembly plant, they said 17 years ago Dangote contended Shacman truck license with GUO but lost to GUO. The antagonism and insult is too much.

They attacked the refinery project and said it will never work to the extent some us are confused. Up till now, I don't still know what is happening.

Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu from Kano indirectly pitched his tent in the opposite school of thought to Dangote. We observed this several years ago and just keep quiet. Dangote have ideas being incubated from the early stage from another school of thought. From my observations, BUA school of thought is just following Dangote School of thought. The originality is what is being incubated by the people at Dangote Ideas Incubation School.

That is why Dangote acumen is far different from IBO business idea.

I am sure there is more to this....The refinery contributed to our suffering today as a nation. I still don't understand how an individual will got so much forex with that ridiculous exchange rate.

Dangbote don hold Nigeria for blokos.

You are 100% correct, even what you did not post above I understood them very much. Invariably, he has told us he is not indebted again because even when the refinery has not fully gone into full production, he can conveniently pay the $2.7 billion.

When I had an account on nairaland (babaolofin) for years, I was a radical supporter of Dangote and fought fanatically on every front for the success of the refinery. I became confused when Emefiele said he had paid all the loans even when the refinery has not started production.

People are complaining about floating of Naira because of the initial hardship associated with structural adjustment program all over the world but failed to realize how the initial foreign exchange regime indirectly impoverished Nigeria and Nigerians to the benefits of those milking our commonwealth for their personal gains.

I still congratulate Dangote for the courage to build that refinery. Without this refinery our government refinery will not work. He benefitted from government (CBN) from loans taken by Nigeria the same way Dantata family have been benefitting from government.

You are going far, whenever anyone takes a decision two those are involved, either it goes downhill or uphill, any direction it goes a good leader will take accountability for it. When the merits come he sings praises to himself and when the demerits comes he reflects and sees what next he can do to averts such scenario

The reason our leaders are doing what they are doing is because people wlare their to clap hands for them even their policies are anti people, taking accountability is a virtue only a few are interested in. I won't go much in this light.

Majority of young people on Social Media are distorted and not technically sound.

The issue of PMS being sold at about $0.42 per litre in Nigeria at the exchange rate of =N=1,500 to $1 while the same PMS is sold between $1.1 to $1.3 per litre in neighbouring countries and some of the neighbouring countries have crude oil and about two or three have Refineries is beyond what anybody can answer here. If the exchange rate had been =N=700 to $1 with foreign loans to be paid by Nigeria and subsidy makes the price of petrol in Nigeria $0.1 or $0.2 per litre when compared with $1.2 per litre in neighbouring countries will there be any need for about 60%
of the population of the neighbouring countries not to buy smuggled fuel from Nigeria? These are the analysis question here.

What stops the neighbouring countries with Refineries from selling lower than Nigeria? What stops the neighbouring countries without refinery from subsidizing their fuel to make it cheaper than Nigeria since the fuel is imported by Nigeria as well?

Floating of Naira makes us know the real value of Naira to Dollar. Nigeria cannot continue to borrow to subsidize PMS and at the same time borrowing money to defend the dollar for the importers. The corruption and leakages at both end of the pipe cannot be controlled .

Those with the opinion that removal of subsidy
and floating of Naira returned us to the initial stage are getting it wrong. In theory, they are partially right if only the subsidy is removed and Naira is not floated and every other condition remains the same, but it is impossible for every other condition to remain the same.

Now just look at the repercussions. 😡 Not only are they smuggling petrol out, they are also smuggling foodstuffs out of the country.

What did this Foolish man gain now from subsidy is gone and float of currency? Absolutely nothing.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Social Media has become very acidic. Most young people are now distorted and under mental illusions and it is very difficult for them to hear the voice of reasoning. Black man may never recover with the kind of people being groomed today .

What are the repercussions? The subsidy removal and the floating of Naira according to you made PMS being sold at =N=1,700 or more at neighbouring countries to be smuggled out and also leads to food being smuggled out.

So, if NNPC or Dangote sells at =N=300 per litre and Naira supported with Dollars from loans to be paid by Nigeria to bring it down, the smuggling of foods will stop leaving only Petroleum products to be smuggled out and the prices of PMS to come down at neighbouring countries all at the expense of loans taken by Nigeria.

The technicalities involved is very high and political. You and your associates can continue if you cannot decipher the situation in Nigeria.

Who are the Nigerian workers? Unskilled labourers and bricklayers at building sites have been collecting the same daily wage for over a decade. Artisans struggling for daily survival are exempted from NLC demand. Unskilled and skilled Nigerians struggling for survival daily are not beneficiary of NLC demand if approved. State Government and Organized Private Sector cannot pay that NLC demand except about 1% of them that are currently paying above that (=N=100K per month) presently.

Over 70% of Nigeria population is not affected directly and indirectly by NLC demand if granted. The inflation that would be created will affect every Nigerian.

Yet, NLC want to cripple the economy because of their demand not considering those struggling daily for survival. They want to shutdown Airports, Seaports, National Grid and stop banks from operating. They even want to force commercial vehicles from operating but they are afraid NURTW will fight them.

Only God knows best. I got to know about Pastor Iluyomade early 1999 when I was a very young man, by then he was the Senior Pastor RCCG Kings Court, VI, my personal friend whom I escorted to the Church many times is not a member but a computer engineer (Steven AJ ......) who repairs his computer. He was very close to him. He told me something then (1999) about the man and his wife which now made me to know the man and wife love each other so much. I just got to know few days ago that he is the Senior Pastor of COD.

For such man to celebrate his wife that had stood with him is something. The courage and the will to postpone the event because of Wigwe's death is another thing. God knows best.

Only God knows the best. You just revealed Herbert Wigwe loaned the Church One Billion Naira . This is a good information.

The revelation assumed to be received and written by Apostle John on the Island of Patmos spoke about some Churches. COD comprises of many rich men according to the earthly standard. Somebody earlier asked the question if an ordinary member had died if the birthday should have also be postponed despite months of planning and investment already made? I cannot answer the question. Somebody also said he has seen marriages postponed few days to the wedding because the father or the mother of the bride or bridegroom died. I don't want to dabble into this. I have a totally different view based on Christ teaching.

Dr Tony Rapu has not said anything. It is too early to comment.

Social Media young people are controlled by sentiment. I observed the celebration of Tobi Amusan's victory as the fastest woman was very cold and not explosive. If another person has achieved that feat up till this moment, the celebrations would have still been explosive.

The journey of faith is very difficult. Most of the things we consider here might be of no value in the spirit realms. Thank God for the information of the 1 billion Naira loan by Wigwe to complete the building.

The Yoruba divinely imposed character is not recognized in Nigeria. The gods of the Yoruba operate on objectivity but other gods operate on self centeredness and selfishness which I called "I before others".

Moreover, Falana is a counsel to NLC. When Falana wife who is a Principal Partner at Falana & Falana Chamber was awarded SAN status, there is no insult that was not passed on the woman on social media by those people. They said SAN is a Yoruba title. They have also attacked Falana in the time past. A Yoruba is only applauded when you support their inordinate ambition or their unreasonable and unrealistic agenda and expectations.

That is why you see them registering accounts on Social media with Yoruba names and International Passports with Yoruba names. Of recent, at a Local Government off Iwo Road, Ibadan, I observed some of them registering for National Identity Card with Yoruba names. NIMC in future is going to have problems with ONE BIOMETRIC DATABASE having multiple names which is due to one person registering with different names and BIODATA. This can only happen in Nigeria. The purpose is to use such names on Social Media and other vital document to create impressions they are Yorubas and to support causes not supported by majority of Yorubas.

Sheuns:

No company is investing 1bn USD in Ondo state. It is all lies from the governor to secure votes. Agriculture will achieve much more if the government creates avenue for farmers to make their work easier.

Where is the land for Agriculture? At Ore, Ondo State already have agency for Agricultural development. When you are talking about Agriculture that is another developmental area. You have to consider development in the Coastal areas of Ondo State. That is where you have oil & gas and bitumen. That is where you have the proposed deep sea port and the abandoned OLOKOLA LNG project. Now, Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway is passing through the area.

Bitumen cannot be abandoned for Agriculture. If Obasanjo had done 3rd term, Bitumen and OLOKOLA LNG would have been a reality by today.

Federal Government should invest in the Bitumen development. They should establish National Bitumen Company of Nigeria, fund it , secure Overseas Technical Partner for it. They can now sell the products to processing companies. After about 20 years of operation they can now sell it.

Federal Government has not done this in South West for any natural resources.

If Agriculture is lucrative, all the investment of Federal Government and International Donor Agencies in the North for decades would have yielded results.
Politics / Re: Firm To Invest $1 Billion In Bitumen Exploration In Ondo by professorPABX: 5:19pm On Jun 01
Arutan:

I visited this site as part of investors delegation in 1999. The bitumen deposit in Ondo state is insanely very very huge. It oozes out continuously like an eruption to the surface non-stop across several thousands of acres. The only deposit of its kind that oozes to the surface. Government guarantees stopped the foreign counterparts funding/investment into the project at that time. Just hope this Owena group will be able to do something about it. It’s a huge blessing to Edo, Ondo and Ogun states.

I think we have discussed this bitumen at a forum some years ago. I reserved the outcome of the discussion.

The investors that came during Obasanjo era are not serious, they think they are doing Nigeria good by the exploration. I will stop here. Few days ago, children on Social Media were crying because the Minister told them Kaduna Refinery is not calibrated to refine Bonny light (Nigeria's Crude Oil). For decades, the elders and politically exposed Nigerians know this. It is done for a purpose. Asphalt which is used for road construction is gotten from thick crude oil and not light crude oil. Nigeria needs Asphalt for road construction, hence, Kaduna Refinery is designed for this good purpose.

Now, from the preamble above, we can now see where Bitumen comes in. Asphalt for road construction. Asphalt is thicker and last longer but the comparative advantage of having Bitumen locally saves foreign exchange and creates jobs.

My problem with Ondo State is that why is it few months to every gubernatorial election there must be an interested investor on Bitumen exploration or Deep Seaport construction. It seems it is just for political purpose.

Though, FG through Umahi is considering concrete roads in some places but asphalt would still be used in many FG and States road.

The FG is investing in iron rods (steel) production at Ajaokuta to meet demand for concrete roads. Estimated $10 billion dollars in total has been spent on Ajaokuta. The FG has spent estimated $12 billion dollars including money spent by JV partners on oil exploration in the North. It took Late Alhaji Iyanda Folawiyo a rare courage to risk exploration prospecting in Offshore Lagos. He died before oil was found.

I am yet to see any natural resources in the South West that FG has committed billion of dollars to prospect and explore and process or for its exploitation. The South South and South East never needed such investments as the oil & gas deposits are already attractive to investors.

What stops the Federal Government from investing in the exploration or exploitation of the bitumen and sell the products to private investors for processing. Since Obasanjo era, the amount spent on Ajaokuta or the money spent to prospect for oil the North, they can also channel money to explore the Bitumen in Ondo.

The son of Ibrahim Mantu bringing investors to Ondo to explore Bitumen that has been there when his father was the deputy senate president is not a good news to me.

This is the best project so far in the history of Nigeria. This is the project that changed the dynamics of FACEBOOK as it concerns Africa countries.

After almost two decades on FACEBOOK, it was immediately the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway Project was announced on FACEBOOK and someone posted pictures of EKO Atlantic City and Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway Project Architectural impressions and imaginations on completion that drew attentions of people from so many Africa countries and generated debates if such Coastal Highway and Atlantic City ever existed in Nigeria that Africa countries started to display highways and road networks and buildings Towers and developments in their countries. Also, international civil engineering companies started sponsored advertisements of their highway projects targeting Africa countries.

Immediately Africa countries started displaying highways and road networks in their countries, States in Nigeria started displaying highways and road networks and developments in various states in Nigeria. Other countries restricted their display to Jo'burg, Capetown, Durban, Cairo, Algiers, Nairobi, Addis, Dar es salaam, Kigali and of recent, Luanda and Maroc.

The greatest thing is that Africa countries are aware of this project and they are aware of inter tribal & inter State rivalry in Nigeria and the reason why Lagos was not allowed to develop at its pace but rather tied down .

The opposition to the project cannot stop it because the whole Africa is already aware of it.

EKO Atlantic City phase 1 and phase 2 is going to be like DURBAN (UMHLANGA) of South Africa.

You did not answer the question. The govt of most countries in the world subsidise transportion for it's citizens.

And who told you the rail service is for govt to make profit?

What will be the gain of the tax payers if the train service and other services are not subsidized by govt.

Pls next time you want to criticise, make sure it's a constructive criticism not from the place of hate.

I am very sorry for dabbling into your discussion. We have argued the business plan of the railway project severally few years back. The Chinese and Federal government never told us transportation by rail is going to be subsidized. In fact, Payback period and Rate of Return were calculated. I cried for 8 years on Lagos to Ibadan (Moniya) railway. Finally, the person assumed must be an NRC man on Social Media agreed with me. He said Inland Terminals and Dry Port would use them to move Cargoes.

If FG want to subsidize transportation, road transportation should also be included. Over 90% of people travelling between Lagos and Ibadan use roads. Those using trains are not up to 5%.

The railway projects were conceptualized based on business plan.

Just like the Lagos Light Rail Project. Few weeks ago, LAMATA approached some investors on the extension from Mile 2 to Okoko. We were told about daily turnout of the Mile2 to CMS route and monthly turnout. Expected daily and monthly turnout of the Mile2 to Okoko, Capex, Opex, etc. The investors confidence is high not because of government subsidy but based on the feasibility of the project.

No route can make 20% of their running cost not to talk about being profitable

Those trains are just loan wasted on feel good projects

You are very correct. Abuja - Kaduna route also involved millions of naira spent by police on helicopters and ground security patrol / escort of the train. At the end it is at total loss to FG. It is just another subsidy provided to citizens along that route.

I cried for 8 years during the implementation of Lagos to Ibadan railway. By then, I posted as babaolofin. All my observations have come to pass.

I think by the time we start to move cargoes by trains, FG can recover operating costs from Cargo movement.

so ncnc is a history discussion forum right?

I don't know why lies are ingrained in you peoples dna

You are depressed and suffering from mental illusions. Late Chief Bamidele Azikiwe the immediate Owelle of Onitsha after Zik is not alive to tell you more.

NCNC was a Nigerian Nationalist Political Party. History and Politics go together. Also, history and traditional institutions go together.

Zik was one of the 5 people that represented Lagos in the Western Region parliament. We have TOS Benson, Chief Adebola, Chief Olorunimbe, Prince Adeleke Adedoyin and Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.

NCNC was National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons later changed to the National Convention of Nigerian Citizens (1944 to 1966).
In Politics, and Political Campaign and struggle, history is inevitable.

You are too depressed, irritated and illusion to learn.

So Yoruba is the owner of Onitsha like this?

Yoruba lagba, awa lo ni Onitsha.

They (Onitsha) migrated from IFE. So many tribes migrated out of IFE.

That has been the history from time immemorial. Even when the late Oba of Benin wrote his last book and rewrote the Benin and IFE relationship, in the hot debate that followed, he was reminded that Onitsha people migrated from IFE and settled at Benin.

Onitsha people are immigrants from Yoruba land.

This is not news. My late grandfather who was a prominent member of NCNC told us that Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe always reiterated that Onitsha people are from IFE, settling at Benin. When their progenitor died, they stayed for a very long time at Benin before migrating to several places and finally settled at Onitsha.

The Ga people of Accra Ghana are also from IFE. Ekuabo, Ekwuabo , Ekaabo means welcome in Yoruba in various Yoruba pronunciations.

When the late Oba of Benin wrote a book and gave a new history about Benin and IFE relationship and said Oodua is Ekalalederhan a Benin Prince. He said Oodua is not the first person to settle at IFE. He said Oodua met some people who were already living at IFE . The puzzle he left was for historians to find out those early settlers at IFE before Oodua arrived.

His Highness, Oba Akinrutan ( OBAT), the Olugbo of UGBO land in Ondo State claimed those early settlers are UGBO people referring to his people.

My question to His Highness, Oba Akinrutan is to find out if there is any relationship between UGBO people and the present Onitsha people.

You are very smart and totally understand the game and the most painful part of it is that the humongous forex needed for the game will be sourced from Nigeria’s already depleted forex market..meaning that this dollar crisis and uncontrollable inflation and high prices in market is not going away soon

My brother, you are 100% correct. We discussed this issue last week. One of the discussants just drew my attention to nairaland. Last year, Dangote Refinery wanted license to import refined petroleum products, it was on nairaland. After much outcry they jettisoned the idea. Now, all the stress and tension on Dollars that Kemi Adeosun as Minister of Finance and later Emefiele as CBN governor said will disappear with Dangote Refinery is a mirage. Wasted efforts.

We also discussed the present PMS crisis that started few days after Tinubu travelled abroad. Now, it seems each time Tinubu travelled, a form of crisis must happen.
