In 2017 and 2021 on nairaland I complained bitterly about the inability of AREGBESOLA to deliver IJESA Land to APC. shegra58:Baba Inaolaji was one of the very few people that are very Rich in Old Oyo State before the creation of Osun State. Old money, Baba was stupendously rich since the 70s. I passed through his estate at Apata in 2010 and saw a Custom made Mercedes Benz at Oluyole Estate in 2010 which people said belonged to Baba Inaolaji. Baba is a generation of Sir Gabriel Igbinedion. They worked hard to create the wealth. Now, people have seen money in politics, drugs and Yahoo and Yahoo plus. Everybody now is looking for easy money and that's why there is always complaining about hunger, but what is really happening is not hunger, everybody wants easy money to live the life they see the rich living. I used this medium to celebrate the life and times of Murtala Ibrahim Inaolaji (MISA) who died few months ago. |

When he was in the opposition fighting the ruling government of APC and winning his constituency for opposition he had no problem. He never ordered his supporters to kill anybody to deliver. Now that he moved to APC is the time an EDE man will be accusing him of instructing his people to kill anybody that want to vote for an EDE man. I am too old, too exposed politically and too intelligent to believe that. The EDE man knows his own Senatorial zone would give him about 80% votes (normal votes + rigging). What they are doing now is to weaken where the WINNING VOTES always come from, that is, OSUN East Senatorial Zone, the base of Senator FADAHUNSI. While AREGBESOLA was in APC and in power, he cannot fight his brother (Senator FADAHUNSI) this type of Dirty fight. Even out of APC, now in ADC, AREGBESOLA cannot fight his brother this type of Dirty Fight. The EDE man and local rural populace and yahoo yahoo and society ritualist for fame young boys know Senator FADAHUNSI is a fine gentleman, too refined and urbane for this gutter fight, so they are trying to embarrass and blackmail him to weaken him before the election. 48 hours to election, the National Body of APC must act and encourage him. 1 Like |

Also, in 2017 and 2021 I made submission before and during the elections that IJESA votes and IFE votes are keys to APC's winning the governorship election. I have several references on nairaland and would post them later if nairaland did not delete my post as usual and If I am not suspended. In the Old Oyo State before Osun State was created the IJESA are very strong and volatile politically. BOLA IGE from Esa-Oke is an IJESA man. Ebenezer Babatope (Ebino Topsy) is from this area. AREGBESOLA is From this area. From time immemorial, this is Action Group, UPN and AD Zone. These people are very distinct from Osogbo / Ede / Ode - Omu /Gbongan people. AREGBESOLA lost this area to PDP and the people are represented at the Senate by Senator FADAHUNSI. In 2017, the failure of AREGBESOLA to deliver this area to APC because of Senator FADAHUNSI influence led to PDP's winning the election before the dubious inconclusive solution that led to negotiations with OMISORE and the forceful taking over of ADELEKE's victory. In 2021, ADELEKE won because AREGBESOLA cannot deliver this area to APC because of Senator FADAHUNSI'S influence. Now, Senator FADAHUNSI has moved to APC. The Intelligence Agencies and APC National Body should move in to protect Senator FADAHUNSI because it is as if APC is not on ground at Osogbo. |

Mind you, I am sympathetic to ADELEKE cause when I got to OSOGBO in May because of his popularity in the Grassroots and unusual very high negative statements and propaganda and hatred against Tinubu on virtually all the local Radio Stations and the propaganda broadcast always in Yoruba language which constantly blindfold the naive traditional rural populace. My observation is that the man that is contesting against ADELEKE is not popular at all. How will they allow such high level negative image, blackmailing and hatred against Tinubu on those Radio Stations I heard while in Osogbo in May? More than 80% political adverts on those Radio is about IMOLE. From what nairaland team has been doing and is still presently doing suppressing and frustrating intelligent argument and Pro Tinubu views, I can confidently confirm to you that ADELEKE will lose the election. He cannot win. He will be defeated. He is not coming back again. Last year Harvest at OGO OLUWA Parish, Isheri, near OPIC, close to Berger he was around with Oluwo of Iwo. I was invited. I developed sympathy for him followed by grassroots support I saw in May. By the magomago and frustration and suppression of nairaland, I proclaimed, he is not coming back again. He has lost the election. If nairaland likes, they should delete it. It doesn't change anything. |

While at Osogbo in May I told some Osogbo / Ede elites that it is the rural status of Osun that made the governor to rely on his elder brother's son for political campaign and political advocacy. Burna Boy is from Rivers State, in the presence of Wike, Peter Odili, Magnus Abe and the Militants Generals like Alhaji Dokubo, HRH Tom Atake and various captains of industries, it will be absurd for Burna Boy to be creating political nuisance in Rivers State, it is very dangerous. Wizkid is from Ogun State. Everybody knows what Davido is doing in Osun State, Wizkid cannot try it Ogun. Tuface cannot try that in Benue. When I raised the issue in May, none of them can reply me. Why I am making the above comment is because most people don't understand what is happening at the terrain of ILESA, the home of Senator FADAHUNSI and the home of AREGBESOLA. The greatest fear of ADELEKE is Senator FADAHUNSI and Osun East Senatorial votes. ADELEKE won the governorship election in 2017 and 2021 because Senator FADAHUNSI pocketed AREGBESOLA in IJESA Land. In 2021, ADELEKE defeated Baba Bisi Akande at Ila Orangun. Senator FADAHUNSI is very popular and accepted more than AREGBESOLA even while AREGBESOLA was a sitting governor and a native of Ilesa. As it is now, AREGBESOLA an indigene of ILESA is not talking, ADEMOLA ADELEKE is not talking, it is DAVIDO that is talking. I am just wondering if this type of thing can ever happen in Rivers or Ogun State. The IJESA and OSUN East Senatorial district is very distinct from Osogbo / Ede people and very resolute in whatever they want to do and cannot be threatened or sway by propaganda. Now, they have no candidate in the Governorship election but Senator FADAHUNSI must preserve his base for next year Senatorial election. |

Just to help you, ATIKU referenced the Project when he claimed Tinubu's Coastal Highway cost was higher than the previous cost under the previous government (BUHARI). I am on the side of Osogbo people, I don't know the situation in other places. The grassroot people of Osogbo and Ede are solidly behind Adeleke. Pakute:All what Donald Duke said is the reality. He is not against the project. The analysis is 100% correct. The only thing I have against him is that the Project will stop at Epe. He said it out of concern and not for politics. The first comment I made was done without listening to what he said. I didn't know he spoke about BAYELSA. I know BAYELSA very well. Everywhere is swampy and Ocean and Rivers. My reaction is that Donald Duke knows Goodluck Jonathan had already concluded feasibility study and Engineering Design and Costing for Lagos Calabar Railway project in 2013/2014 and would have started the project if he had won 2015 election. Is there any ROUTE in BAYELSA (Goodluck Jonathan State) that the Railway line would pass other than the ROUTE the Tinubu's Coastal Highway would pass? Please, I need an answer from anybody that works on Lagos Calabar Railway project during Goodluck Jonathan government or anyone that works with Amaechi in the Ministry of Transportation under Buhari to tell us how the Railway line would pass through BAYELSA. 4 Likes |

Sugarboyy:Bringing BUHARI into this topic shows that it is the APC that is trying to intimidate and frustrate Adeleke to prevent a fair and just election. BUHARI allowed a free and fair election TWICE because he OVERRATED AREGBESOLA . ADELEKE won thrice under BUHARI. First was Senatorial election, second, the Gubernatorial election that was later declared inconclusive and victory taken by force. The third was the last one BUHARI feared Allah and allowed Adeleke to rule. In all the three cases I mentioned, ADELEKE was not in power and was not in charge of State Treasury. It was APC that was in power at the Federal and State level and in charge of Treasury, yet ADELEKE won. Since the money is still in the Treasury, after election they should be released. |

You are aware of this politics. Now, Tinubu started a Courageous Road project instead of the Rail Project Jonathan wanted to do. Emeritus Archbishop of Lagos (Archbishop Olubunmi Okogie) , Baba Aladura Otubu, Prelate Sunday Mbang, Bishop Daniel Okoh, are clergymen that have engaged government on dialogue. Baba Okogie engaged the Military Government during IBB era. Baba Otubu of C&S Church also engaged the Military Government. We have the respectable Baba Prelate Sunday Mbang of the Methodist Church Nigeria and Bishop Nicholas Okoh of the Anglican Communion Nigeria and not forgetting Baba E.E Okon of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and Prophet Soyinka of The Apostolic Faith Nigeria. These are responsible and respectable Clergymen from the Christian fold that have engaged government at different times in the history of Nigeria. We know where they stand. Their stand is known. We now have Partisan Bishops whose candidate is known to everybody in Nigeria . |

The Political Bishops? The Partisan Bishops. Baba Okogie engaged the Military Government during IBB era. Baba Otubu of C&S Church also engaged the Military Government. We have the respectable Baba Prelate Sunday Mbang of the Methodist Church Nigeria and Bishop Nicholas Okoh of the Anglican Communion Nigeria and not forgetting Baba E.E Okon of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and Prophet Soyinka of The Apostolic Faith Nigeria. These are responsible and respectable Clergymen from the Christian fold that have engaged government at different times in the history of Nigeria. We know where they stand. Their stand is known. Church in Nigeria presently has no representative. The leadership is only being controlled by sentiment of the majority of the members from a geo political area based on majority sentiment. |

Muslim may not understand Christianity very well and the politics inside Catholic Church. One thing I know is that some Islamic Scholars must have heard the names I mentioned earlier and the the recent Catholic Bishops and their leader. We now have Partisan Bishops whose candidate is known to everybody in Nigeria . The Bishops are very Partisan. It's very obvious. In 2022 and 2023 they were very Partisan even before President Tinubu won an election and became President. The Partisanship of the Catholics is because majority of the population of the Catholics in Nigeria have political and tribal sentiment in support of a Candidate. The Catholic Bishops sought a private audience with the President 7 months to election to do what? Because PETER OBI was crying about that Tinubu is hiding, Tinubu is not talking to Nigerians. Tinubu is hiding in Bunker, Tinubu should come out of his Bunker. The Catholic Bishops went to Presidential Villa on ESPIONAGE DUTY for PETER OBI to see if the President is in good health and to advise him not to CONTEST ELECTION. Is that possible? They failed woefully. The main purpose of seeking private audience with the President is to tell him not to Contest the 2027 Presidential Election. Is that possible? |

Jayboi:SDP has no structure as far as Osun State is concerned. SDP is a non existing Party in Osun State. My judgement is based on what I saw in May when I visited Osogbo after over two decades. The other man called ASIWAJU is not popular at all. Osun State is a Rural State. Ede / Osogbo axis is already captured by Imole at the grassroots. The Okada riders, transporters and local traders are always talking Imole. This time around if Senator Fadahunsi can bring his PDP votes from Ijesa land into APC, this is the only challenge Adeleke can face. AREGBESOLA an IJESA MAN was rejected by IJESA people while he was a governor and immediately he left office. It is the loss of IJESA votes to PDP that gave Adeleke victory twice. That first election that brought Oyetola, it was Adeleke that won. APC 1,000 or 1,000,000 strongmen Campaign team for Osun doesn't have any meaning to Rural State people. The people don't even know such team existed. I was almost beaten up because of Tinubu at a local joint where Okada riders, transporters and artisans gathered, that was my second week at Osogbo in May. The hatred is so much and the blackmail and propaganda against TINUBU was so enormous. The local Radio Stations are propagating so much blackmail. That was May, I don't know the situation now. When I escaped, none of the OKADA riders accepted to take me to the hotel. I hope everything goes well. Osun election is different from Ekiti where APC have no opposition. 3 Likes |

Saystan:Which statement? I told you Awolowo once contested with a Christian Vice Presidential candidate. Baba Jakande and Jafojo were both Muslim as Governor and Deputy Governor. Bola Ige and Sunday Afolabi were both Christians as Governor and Deputy Governor. You cannot disenfranchise a Nigerian because of Religion or Tribe. Dropping Shettima is a Social Disenfranchisement of Shettima. It is like telling ABIOLA not to pick Kingibe because he is a Muslim. That is a Social Disenfranchisement of Kingibe, ABIOLA will not take that. I am a Christian, my best friends and benefactors are Muslim, they are not my friends or benefactors because of tribe or religion. The Northern elites usage of Religion to cage the population is what is causing this issue. slivertongue:Why should he drop Shettima? Is Shettima not a Nigerian? Shettima cannot be disenfranchised because he is a Muslim. This issue must be tackled once and for all. Any Nigerian can aspire to any elective position irrespective of tribe or religion. It is left for the electorates to make their choice. The replacement of the Minister of Defence with a Christian has not made any impact on security. Between 1979 to 1983, Lateef Jakande and Rafiu Jafojo were both Muslim. There was a time Awolowo contested Presidency with a Christian Vice. Tinubu should not change Shettima.
